Hope to see and hear more of this incredibly talented musician and band! What's unique about this man is you know no matter how successful he becomes and how much money he makes, he will never forget where he came from.... wishing him much success.
I went to the concert at the electric factory. I am 12 and I was most likely the youngest one there. Everybody was staring at me...including eugene. One time he was looking at me, I smiled and gave him thumbs up, and he smiled back. I got his pick :P
+islandboy4445 Sorry to disapoint you, but he pronounced Gogol like an american, because to non-russian/slavic speakers, it's difficult. Asked a russian to pronounce Gogol, hehehehe, it's like GôgaLL
I fact i liked the interview because this guy came to Eugene with the most basic and "funny" questions... instead of asking him the cliché questions that every single interviewer does to him... so I give you credit for that.
@thisiscaptincredible apropos and well-put. There is an old game called "20 questions" by which you can learn alot about a person without being too invasive and specific, that's all you were doing. It's respectful and interesting.
I like the interviewers simplistic style. It refreshing; how lame is it when some vapid, awful interviewer tries to posture as a deep, investigative searcher of souls when the reality of their vacuous nature is so clear? This is a nice remedy to that, I guarantee that he is more than capable of delivering a serious and informative interview but Jeezo its a music festival. People are just acting jovial. If you are seeking the answers to life from rock stars youve got bigger problems.
Interviewer was trying to get him to talk up Austin, and he said "Yes I always played, here, and New Orleans, and San Francisco and Portland and especially New York" haha. Austinites must be grumbling.
Gogol Bordello's set was definitely a highlight of ACL Fest 2010. Eugene did an impromptu performance, balancing precariously on top of a golf cart whilst serenading a small crowd backstage after Manu Chao. The stage manager was very concerned that the 'talent' might get damaged... Eugene Hutz is a 'most premium' entertainer!
This show was so effin' awesome! Eugene is the shit, such pretty eyes.

This was a great interview and Eugene seemed very normal and relaxed, the most relaxed I've seen him in any interviews.
One of the coolest guy i've ever seen
He's so patient..:) красава)
Those eyes.
I think my favorite part is him saying "I like cats." XD I don't know why
Eugene is so cool and to hear him mention Johnny Cash..even cooler now :)
Coolest guy on the planet
What a patient, patient man.
I think more people should be raised by cats.
Seems like such a nice guy! I like his hand slapping at the end. haha

What a nice, unexpected surprise. The UA-cam algorithm led me right here. Nice interview. :)

The interviewer is a tool of epic proportions.
Best living communication (of me)(for all).

This interview looked painful

I would marry him tomorrow if I could...LOL.
woooooot Black Lips in the back.
OMG this interview is ludicrous. Does he even know who he's talking to?
Good responses to some goofy ass questions.
>ironically...SHTICK-rock = GYP !!!
Eugene is great ! . However he reminds me of Borat . I mean the way he talks
So painful to watch XD; If he were a nerd (probably isn't) and knew pokemon I so bet he would be wishing that escape rope was a real item.
@gypsychick420 i got to touch him at acl :D
Good answers for the stupidest questions in the history of time.:)
This isn't really an interview, it's more of an awkward conversation.
SteamPunkWillie64 It's one of my fave interviews. I revisit it every few years. Look at all the other Eugene interviews out there.
Да да коты лучше!
Стебется еще то!
If Borat was a real person.....
