@@yrm1594 Yeah its pretty awesome. One thing to consider though, it's a collection of short stories rather than a show focused around one cast, story, or setting. Season 2 coming on May 14.

@@yrm1594 It's great. I've watched the series at least 3 times, and some of the individual episodes more than that.
I highly recommend it. Just be warned that the majority of episodes are Not kid friendly. So if you have kids or younger siblings you'll want to watch it without them.

excited to buy and play this game! And thanks to splattercat for helping me discover it!
I downloaded and played the demo after watching SplatterCat play. Unfortunately, there is a scripted Game Over after the last mission.. but, if you don't complete the mission to get rid of the northern nest, you can get play indefinitely and get pretty far into the tech-tree. Splat's advice to stay one step ahead of the curve, laying down tons on generators and mining factories before the mission prompt even occurs (unlike how I usually follow the missions for the initial base setup almost religiously) really helped me establish a good solid base before even the first enemy horde appeared.
Over all, it was a great experience. The feeling of luring a huge horde of enemies into to a carefully set up death-trap lined with lvl 3 Flame Towers and watching them burn is... almost orgasmic. Having an Nuclear Mine at the end for the lucky/unlucky survivors is just a cherry on the top. I'm definitely wishlisting this game.

Amen. And adapted in the most glorious way too.
Love this game, it's sooo satisfying to slice through the hordes the devs did such a good job with giving the powerfantassy of a big fkin mech while at the same time make you really worried about the hordes and hordes of wildlife mounting a highly coordinated siege upon your encampment. For reference I believe if earth's wildlife reacted this way to our industry we would be watching these video's on cave painting.
He just had to do it. He couldn't stop himself. He just had to mention how "smart" the AI is in There Are Billions.
DUDE! The Are Billions has no AI to speak off. All the enemy waves are doing is attack to the center of the map.
Which makes sense. It's a zombie game. About brainless and mindless zombies who want nothing but eat living flesh.
What you think is "smart" is just the logical result of having waves of zombies coming in on a base from all sites at the same time.
They come furthest on the weakest spots. And get killed on the less weak spots of the defense.
Just christ. I really hoped you would never bring that up.

From the demo, 3rd upgraded three layer walls are needed with platformed multiple tier 3 turrets. Just gotta spam AI cores and a crap ton of power banks and windturbines and solar panels.
Nice game. Makes me want to play Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge. Goood times. You know Splat's into it when he's 34 minutes in.

Is the performance in late game any better than it was? That'd be the dealbreaker for me, it seems to chug REAL hard with more stuff on the map.

First time I saw a video of this I put this on my ignore list, then I saw a second one and I put it on my watch list......I might put it on my wishlist now =)
this looks a little bit like an evil twin of the Dyson Sphere Program
The design of this game reminds me a lot like the MechWarrior 1993 for SNES which I liked a lot. I just had fun running around shooting things in that game and attacking bases. This has base building which looks like a fun addition. Too bad no one has done a remake like the MechWarrior for SNES but this looks like a suitable game that's similar enough without one.
Looks good, prettier than Factorio, and I've been looking for something to be the great wave-based RTS game that They Are Billions ultimately failed to evolve into. It does kind of suck that the dialogue was disabled in this. It would've been nice to hear an example of it, even just for a few seconds.

Interesting. Personally, I would prefer something more focused on building base defenses and less about going out and hitting enemies directly. UA-cam seems to be suggesting that this game is Starcraft, which is funny because I was thinking that the core gameplay could probably have started as a Starcraft II mod - it is basically Zerg rushes against a Terran base with a goliath hero unit.

I don't know how I feel about this game. It feels like it needs co-op to really sell it for me. I like the idea, but I'm really unsure about games whose sole goal is 'build things more bettery and maybe shoot'.

This game is going to be so extremely satisfying when it's done, it's already quite the case mind you. It's not only more than aesthetically pleasing, the mental challenge to manage the economy and your own load out vs enemy waves and events... just exhilarating !

Its not, well not yet part of code/game. At 8:00am ingame sun turns on from "directly overhead". So it's not currently an issue, like some windfarm mods for factorio. Just an instant sun is there at/by 8, and leaves at night 9pm or 10pm-ish..
Its still being patched/changed, so they might give more time for solar power in the future but have slow ramp up/down to/from full solar power gain/efficiency.... Or add shadows that decrease solar power.
Its a fun game so far.
