@@cheryladair732 I really like Mothers polish. You may want to give White Diamond polish a try as well (seems to work a little faster / easier in my opinion)
That is odd they only lacquered one side of the plate. I wouldn't be surprised that all fore sides were done. I'm proud of you for not getting the Jab. So now you are an expert taking the movement apart and back together.. Great job on this clock.
@justmike57 I seem to be getting lots of experience putting the same movement back together. I'm getting faster, so maybe I should just record the last time and look like a genius 😜Thanks for watching!
After putting the spring back in the barrel you should always give the barrel a tap on a block of wood and in your case make sure the block of wood has a hole in it so that piece sticking out of the barrel goes into the hole. This ensure the spring goes down past that lip in the barrel. As Mike said not typical for one side to be lacquered and not the rest. Possibly someone worked on it and thought about using lacquer on the movement but after doing one side the decided not to do the rest. The mothers and wax that you put on it resolved that issue because all sides look beautiful. Great job on that. A clothes pin connected to the fly will stop it while you are working and trying to get the verge back into place. That would be your extra hand. LOL. It would have been so much easier letting the power down. Using the movement legs can be used to tap parts down also. You should burn mullein plant in a container and put it in your kennel/house. To help you, your husband, and your dogs. You are not the first person that had to take the movement back apart to fix a spring that wasnt catching. So dont feel bad about that. You wont be the last person that has to do that either. Cant wait to see your the next clock video repair. You should rename your videos to include "Part 1", etc.,. By the way there is now a video on youtube on Waterbury Crystal Regulator repair. Congratulations. Keep up the great work Cheryl as you are doing a terrific job.
@@munnerlyn3 thanks for watching and commenting. You had me for a second when you said there is now a video on Waterbury- I was like, oh I'll have to check it out! 😂😂
@@munnerlyn3 I didn't have the spring on the clicker, so it wouldn't wind. I didn't think the arbor hadn't caught, so I twisted it around. That's when it detached and I couldn't get it back on. Springs- I'm ready to go back to cuckoos.
Гарна дівчина 😊❤
It is a beautiful clock. I love the crazy hands!
Beautiful job on the polishing Cheryl. Ah, the aggravations of the spring...lol. Really pretty clock. Thanks for posting
@@whitneykovener thank you. It took a while.

I'll check it out. Where do you get yours? By the way I just checked out your channel. You have some cool nature videos!
@@cheryladair732 Thank you. I get my polish at auto parts stores. WD is more of a liquid and must be shaken well when using.
