  • A return to evening football for us for the visit by Plymouth and a very impressive Green Army travelling a good 3+ hours on a cold Tuesday night. Estimated that around 1,500 of them made the journey so fair play to them.
Both teams had won their last game, both also being in the bottom half of the table.
We’d had a fantastic away win at Millwall and started with an unchanged team. Chances were quite rare for both sides during the game but it was end to end with Plymouth being one of the top team scorers in the league but not travelling very well.
As things went on a draw looked likely but with around 10 minutes left Van Ewijk made a run down the right channel, along the goal line and pulled the ball back to Haji Wright who swept it into the net.
Pictures appear to show the ball out of play and the defenders and keeper seemed to stop playing but the officials waved it away and the goal was given.
City ending the game 1-0 winners, and Plymouth and the Green Army calling foul play and could consider themselves hard done by but always play to the whistle.
We climbed a few places up the league, and further away from relegation. Next up a trip to Ipswich on Saturday.

He’s loving life at Cov, what is it with Dutch players? They just seem to understand the passion and meaning of the club to the fans
