My best friend when I lived in Sacramento, Art Valencia, was from Bisbee. I remember him always talking about his family who worked in those copper mines. Art was a good friend and great pool player. I really miss those days playing pool with him, he taught me a lot about the game. Hope to visit there someday.
My dad was born in Bisbee! In fact my Uncle John was the Judge at the Lowell Court house and his name is still there! John Sharpe was my favorite uncle on my dads side! I loved Bisbee as a kid. All the Sharpe’s are buried in the cemetery there, but my Dad, Art Sharpe was the baby and he’s the only one not buried there. I remember my cousin and I going up Brewery gulch in my Uncle John’s sheriffs car and she had to back down and she hit every trash can on the gulch! Though I've been there many times, I was never able to get to the crosses at the top. Thanks for going up there. If you ever go back, be sure to see Pioneer Cemetery, which is very near The Shady Dell Trailer Park. Lots of history there. And, the Vista Park area is fascinating, too. I'm so glad you discovered Jimmy's. Isn't that place the best? They used to have a punch card - if you ate 10 hot dogs there, you'd get one free. Glenn would be in heaven. Thanks for showing Bisbee at night - I have never been there at night. It looks so peaceful. Thanks for the adventure. Keep roamin', Nita and Glenn. This was a wonderful video.
