Thank you for that review! I am a tapestry weaver with a Mirrix loom and am looking at doing bead tapestry with it. I understand that it can be done with or without using the shedding device. Have you tried it without the shedding device, just doing the beading the "regular" way and if so, how do the two methods compare? Thanks in advance. Marie

Hello Marie, thanks for your question. Sorry not to have replied before now, recovering from illness, but back in the saddle now! I used the shedding device on Berenice, since I was doing such a big panel of work with large beads (Size 8's). You really need fine heddles - such as a fine thread, and even so it is a challenge. When I did a piece for NASA and the celebration of the moon landings, I did not use the shedding device. You can see details here ua-cam.com/video/Ixyh8lcJXlg/v-deo.html and here ua-cam.com/video/UHRcZ8KnYmg/v-deo.html. I was using smaller Delica beads and it worked perfectly well. Sometimes when using a loom I find I get a wavy effect on the surface of the 'material' once it is woven or off the loom. Is this something you have also encountered?

Yes, I found it really helpful, and makes the warp clear, and does not show if you use the right colours
