There are several advantages to a gaseous fire suppression system such as used here, not least of which is its utility in areas with a lot of electrical equipment that could be damaged by water. This is especially the case if you have a lot of batteries as does this ship.
Twenty-four thousand liters of fuel at nine knots?! No way you can do 4000 nautical miles with that much fuel even if you had perfect conditions all the way! I doubt you could do that range going only six knots?! And nine hundred horsepower isn't ocean power.... how is this an expidition yacht?
@@sidepass Twenty thousand liters is what the average private home swimming pool might hold; or 12 waterbeds is 20000 liters. It's not very much and there is no way you're crossing any ocean with that much fuel. But hey, don't take my word for it, ask an expert! What's TFF?
That’s one of the best engine room videos you have provided to date, and of course, one of the finest ship builders (small) at the present time. Would of liked level of soundproofing built into engine room to evaluate noise level underway for people on board…
They have a video about the sound/vibration on either the official Bering channel or the Nautistyle/nautiguys channel, and it's virtually non existent.. Both sound and vibration are completely eliminated in the Bering yachts :)
Would buy a Bering if i had a choice, if I could afford it. I'd like to know what brand of drives it uses for it's pumps and compressors. Can someone explain the science in layman's terms on how a seakeeper works. I know what the parts are doing, (flywheel spinning and rotating front to back) but can't find anything in lay terms on exactly how it does it.
From years of your videos...what happend? You showed us the world...and now you are a... reporter? What happend to the yacht industry not making this awesome guy a captain again !
Now this is what I’m talkin about. Idk about anyone else but I could listen to this all day!
Very nice to have an engine room tour by someone who knows the questions to ask.
Good seeing your face on more videos, Tristan. Alexi explains the mechanics on the yachts he and his team build so well. What a clean engine room.
Great video! The engineering is amazing
Best engine room tour yet. I wish all were this detailed.
Fantastic explanation from Alexi! Love listening to explaining how the systems work and integrate with each other!
These Bering yachts have really impressed me lately. I’d love to put my license to good use on one of these in the near future
Engine Room Tour Without Seeing The Engines, NICE!

Another great video. Tristan and Alexi are great together
Getting more and more impressed by Bering yachts and Alexi's transparency !!!!

The engines are so easy to get to that’s why we didn’t show them 😂

Bering yachts are comforte/ comforte class + both of which are above super yacht class.

Sure would be nice to see the engines rather than being buried.
Whats the fuel consumption for a boat this size ??
At port and while sailing . Similarly for the lube oil
And the stainless steel 😂 for a hull??
Mortlock, do you wanne be sanctionned or something. Yes Berings are nice, and they reviewers well.
Background piano makes it difficult to hear occasionally - fyi.
Thanks for the info on “Engine room soundproofing”… it’s brilliant to know …
If that ship had a medical officer, they could use that engine room for a surgery ward.
Gyro stabilization?
Very interesting. What about a drive test?
Yes that's it 👌my boat 😂 my solar

450hp each, that's so small for a large boat as 55ft or 60ft can have more than this
They are normal more powerful and detuned for continuous use at displacement speeds
And at cruise, she runs on a single engine as standard practice.
