A smaller version would be great for dancers/gymnasts to but their shoes/accessories in when packing their competition bags. Love your how to videos. You give enough information without drawing it out too long.👍👍
Tim - When quilting, stitch one row. Then turn and stitch the next. Then repeat. I find I have very little stretch/build-up. I have 4 pair of tap shoes. I have similar bags for each pair. I am going to use your method to make some for my tap shoes, as well as gifts. I will make the strap slightly longer, as I hang them on hooks or a hanger. I like your end closure method. Thank you 😊
Hanging on the hanger forr special occasions when your traveling makes it so easy to find when getting dressed. I tend to put my clothes in garment bags and throw the shoe bag in the bottom. When i get to the hotel and unpack my clothes i just grab the shoe bags and slide the handle over the hanger. I hate that initial panic when looking for shoes for that specific formal ones I think I forgot them. Trust me I do panic lol. Shoe bags are such a great item for me. This pattern is a little different than i have but the box effect on these will keep my shoes from rubbing against each other as if they are in shoe boxess still. Love the pattern will make some for me and friends that travel as well
a tip for the handle - after stitching with right sides together, use the tip of the iron to open the seam allowances to each side. I usually insert a thin dowel to press the seam allowances open. Once turned, the seam is flat and crisp.
LOL, you should not sell yourself away with a vacuum bag!! Oh gosh, I love this idea because I’m always using grocery bags for shoes while packing. This would be perfect for my children as they keep their shoes in their bags for sports activities. Awesome❣️ Thanks for sharing! 💖
Thanks so much for the alternate size info at the end. I've got a bunch of fat quarters here (20x18) and I was afraid they wouldn't work but now I think they will.
Thanks for the great Premiere. It is very handy to have you in the Live to answer any specific questions. I am looking to adapt these for toiletry- type bags for gifts for volunteers and Halloween bags for teens. Possible Future Video: I am looking to make 150 fabric treat bags for trick or treaters. ( They could keep them for their own use ( toiletries, toys, treasures, etc ) or gift them on to relatives or friends.) To keep it affordable and production - possible, I am focusing on the Dollar Tree pkgs of cotton layer cake fabrics- ( (20) each 10 in x 10in ) Currently- I am bookmarking potential projects. I thought that simple 3-5 design options might make a great video for your channel.
“5 foot tall by 5 foot wide…” 28:40. LOL. If thats true you are a very large man. ;-). I love your tutorials. Ima make this with a waterproof lining as a gift for my scuba diving sister. Thanks!

@@anjanetteboyd1509 enjoy!! Let me know how they work out. You could even do these without a lining if you wanted. It’s a Versatile project.
Another great video!
Really cute bag

Oh yeah, that two inch difference will be completely unnoticed. Just make sure you put the zipper on the shorter sides.
@ thanks for the feedback

My dollar tree doesn’t seem to have layer cakes. Where are you located?
