This is a nice machine. I wished that Roland & Stones Throw Records could have made an arrangement that they can sell the Stones Throw sample library, vinyl record & custom Stones Throw faceplate for consumers that have the MKII already. This is a big missed opportunity for both companies. Otherwise, nice machine.

I got a reg SP404 MK2 and got blessed from a homie with the all the stones throw edition samples that it came with ✨😊✨ major respect to stones throw records and peanut butter wolf I love dilla and madlib & a few other people that are on or were on stones throw records but I wasn't spending double the price of my SP MK2 for there limited edition one and it's goodies but I see & respect what they doing by this they treating it like a art piece and I can't hate on that & with my homie hooking me up with the stones throw edition samples does that make my standard sp mk2 worth 800$ now lol

Very nice but $900 and double the price of a regular Mkii is crazy and an insult to try and scalp this much for a skin, a vinyl record, a cassette and some preloaded music (all of which will undoubtedly be uploaded online)

I totally agree…and the skin is kind of lame! It’s 2023 nobody under the age of 40 even knows what’s a 45 or cassette tape is??

I bought one just to check I wasn't missing something. I wasn't and I did a backup of the unit before sending back.😅so now my Mkii is a stone's throw unit without the annoying skin which obliterated the unreadable text functions.😊

Good question, since my late younger brother loved the Stones Throw label, and underground hip hop, I would like to get one to honor his memory, if I can.

Usually limited edition is just a marketing term to get you in desperation mode to have it! Stones Throw probably purchased 200 units from Roland and if they only sell 75 over the next few months then 200 was the Limited Edition total! lol.
