I have watched quite a few vids of this series now and wanted to give you some feedback. They are excellent from describing every part needed or different or valuable in a particular swap to even calling out the size tools for the job. I am mainly a GM Truck LS or SBC Swap the world kinda guy but some of these import builds around Hondas and other imports with large communities have caught my eye, They are the essence of hotrodding when you figure out how to swap non standard parts into places that they aren't originally from. Very similar to my GMT400 truck movement. I am learning alot and appreciate your hard work.
I just watched this for kicks, I have an unmolested ‘99 CR-V EX AWD, loaded with every option except the auto trans, she’s a row your own! Absolutely love it, wouldn’t trade anything in the world for it. It’s stock besides a short shifter adapter, but it’s still good fun! I love watching people repurpose these parts from one that will never be on the road again. Great work!
I have been looking for a video of an all wheel drive exactly what you need I have seen a lot of videos in your You explain exactly what you need from it Thank you
The sucky part about everybody awd swapping their civics is that when I need CR-V parts for my actual CR-V they're hard to come by and way overpriced. I had to drive over 3 hours to find a manual transmission.
Literally what i did today ; was in the junkyard & found a CRV AWD 5speed took off transmisión brackets & starter & halfshaft Left the cables & box i want to run an aftermarket one ☝️
I use to do this sort of stuff all the time untill all the goody goodies decided to get rid of all the salvage yards in my area. I would not buy cars I would make them. Having your wife work on the car brings back memories. I had a wife that had a habit of sliding the clutch between shifts. Well, when it went out, it was, well honey, you fried it now you have to fix it. It was a Saab so everything could be done up top. She bought the parts and did a real good with a little bit of coaching on some of the Saab tricks. After the job she was, I admit, a very good shifter. She had a good understanding how the system worked. No more nagging from that irritating husband.
Hey brother awesome work brother , I need some help will that whole swap from a 99 crv manual work in a 98 civic coupe automatic, and do I need to change the subframe as well I have complete 99 crv 5 speed manual thank you brother appreciate the info, I am building a dirt rally awd with my son ,I do have a ig as well ,
@HushPerfomance great video. Very informative and excellent advice. Have you worked on H2B projects? Would I just follow this video here in the same way.... What advice would you give to yarding parts for a H2B?
If people are leaving behind AWD parts from the CR-V….you should research how to use as much of those parts as possible. Once successful, start hoarding that stuff. Once prices on Civic Wagonvan inflate due to low supply, people are gonna want a cheaper alternative. That’s when you can pitch selling your CR-V parts.
Hell look what I have I could use alot of that stuff any way to make a deal on some 5lug for my hatch because axle will come threw wish bones to struts
I’d like to do a B series AWD Swap into my CRX-Si, what would be a fair price for everything I need from a dismantling year? Don’t think I will ever be able to find one at my local pick a part in the (323), (626), (909), or (951) areas
And quick question I've bought and given my nephew his 1st car for getting his license and keeping his stuff together. He wants to do a build and I plan on helping him what's a good swap you'd recommend? Its a HF CRX I've offered to give him my a6 sohc out of my ex sedan he doesn't want it cause he knows I love my d-series motors. What affordable swaps would you recommend? B series awd,k series,I also have a j with a manual. He only the only nephew or niece for that matter that hasnt been to jail or juvey so $$$ for parts will be worked out. At the same time we would like to do something not played out. I've also heard of awd j swaps?
Edward Cokley affordability is relative. AWD conversion could be very pricey. The transmission is only half the battle. A turbo single will be the best bang for your buck! Good luck!
I can't find any info and think you have to be the right person to ask.. I can't see any reason why the b20 fwd cable shift cr-v transmission (SKH is the code) wouldn't work when swapping a b20 into an ek or eg civic. Besides cable shifting, the only difference I can see between the GSR etc transmissions and the cr-v is that the starter is on the front of the bellhousing instead of the rear. Here in europe we didn't get many B series civics and integras and the good B series transmissions are getting hard to find. But we have a tonne of manual B20 cr-vs available. Ever see someone just drop the whole B20+fwd trans into a civic hatch?
Assuming you’re referencing manual FWD CRV trans, no. The states didn’t get manual FWD, however, it’s the same transmission with a transfer case plug. The transmission is more H series than B series. The casing is not the same as a B series Civic or Integra.
Hush Performance thanks for the reply i want to ask you a question. I have a 89 crx with a d16y5 and I want to convert the cable to hydro I don’t know much about and I have two issues one is I dont know what kind of motor mount can I used for the tranny the mounts are different and the other is what kind of kit should I buy for the cable hydro conversion( I’m from Yuma az) if you know someone in my town that can help me thanks have a good day and god bless you and all your hard work

Could you do a video on how to put in the awd system on a civic because I’m really wanting to know how it’s actually done
I need most of the banana mount stuff for ek9 b series build crazy did a great job again
So your mistake in removing the cables first resulted in a sweet smelling guy coming home.
Great video
I should of watched this before you had me take apart that shifter haha
HA!! That was awesome! So efficient.
B series automatic Axor and manual axle they both work?
I’m liking what I see lol
How bad does it mess up the other motor mount “dropping”the transmission like that?
What about the 2g talon next to it tho
Aka swivel for ase certified mechanic test if ever needed

Is it possible to use all the stuff from the crv for the b-series AWD swap
@HushPerfomance great video. Very informative and excellent advice.

How curious I hope I can do the same thing for my se r spec v 2006 AWD with Nissan rogue parts lol
Dude, where did you find that unicorn? Just manual trans are so rare, let alone a AWD one. Your located in Ontario, Ca. Right?
impactajuvenile Arizona. We travel thousands of miles for them.

I meant Dismantling Yard, probably from a cold climate area that needs AWD vehicles
Why did you leave the rear differential??
What's the Max Hp on a stock Alwheel replacement

Que año tiene que ser para hacer la convercion en un ef civic hatchback 91

ej1 drew wagon diff is all time awd crv awd comes on when it notices the front wheels are losing traction

Does it need the cluster to work and if it’s necessary is there a way to use the si cluster?
Not Necessary we just wanted it for our swap.
@@hush22performance1 for sure man thx for the info but also is the transmission really necessary or do you just need the parts for the transfer case?
Do you need the piece of sheet metal under shifter too? I heard if you don't get it the oem shifter sits to low
Where can I buy a full b series AWD swap?
Why did you move to colorado ?
Is doing a frame cut at a yard frowned upon?
Fanchon Melcarr many do.
What yard is that?
How much for that transmission
junior Marrero This one was sold months ago but we have others click the link. hushperformance.bigcartel.com/product/b-awd
Spent lots of time on that crv! Doesnt seem like a very simple job for sure.

Lmfao Try working on vehicles in upstate NY and saying the same thing 😂
What’s r rough cost to do a junkyard bseries all wheel drive setup hi n low cost?
Thanks!
Can any1 get me the part number for that 14 mm @ 8:45 ?
Lmao ive never in my life seen a manual honda anything in any junkyard. Just doesn't happen. Yet you find cars barely even touched.
Drive a 100,000 miles a year to multiple states and you will too.
