I can't believe the massaging and tapping was all my phone needed! After spending weeks trying to work it out. This has saved me going to the phone repair shop. Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I tried all of the steps and what ended up finally working was smacking it quite a few times. Wow, I was in disbelief that this would solve the issue but it worked! Thanks for your very informative video.
Oh My God.....Thank you so much. My galaxy s9 camara all of a sudden couldn't focus images that are not close to the lens...I tried every possible method to no avail well until I came here watch ur videos, read everyone saying smacking works. Decided to give it a try and hit the top left corner of my phone on my thigh.... I was amazed when I opened my Camara app and it was perfect. Thank you so so much
I tried everything to fix my phone for 1 hour. Then I watched your video, where you said to smack your phone. Now it works! I smacked it really good! Thank You!
I followed all the steps as you explained them.. and the frickin' tap & squish is what did it?! Jesus. LMAO. I've been struggling with blurry photos on my Note 9 for like a week. THANK YOU!
I did them all but probably only needed to do the slapping technique. I dropped my phone and figured this was the cause for the camera not being able to focus. It worked! Thankyou for making this video!
Just bought a reconditioned S8 on Backmarket... all was fine except the camera that would not focus... was gonna send the phone back until I saw your video... the "smacking" part worked wonders!!! The camera focuses perfectly again... Just incredible!!! The good comments below kept me going through all the steps... massive thanks, you just got a new subscriber!!! :)
Unbelievable! The auto-focus on my S9+ has been crazy slow (I'm talking 30 seconds or so) to activate since the last Android update the phone did about a year ago. I tried everything to fix this and was getting really frustrated as I'd missed a LOT of action shots over the last 12 months. Saw this video and none of the steps seemed to work till I tried the thumb-smearing suggestion. That helped reduce the time for the auto-focus to work correctly, after maybe 10 seconds from launching the app. But the cherry on the cake was the palm-slap suggestion, just as lots of other commenters had said. Now the camera focuses almost immediately after launching, maybe just a second or so. Big thanks to you for suggesting all these tests to try out. 🙌 Update: next day, it's unfortunately back to taking a long time but if I do the palm-slap trick each time, it's maybe only 3-4 seconds.
My friend, I just spent 2 hours on the phone with Verizon which (was an absolute fail) AND came THIS CLOSE to paying a $200 deductible for another piece of refurbished crap. You have no idea how much you saved me.
Awesome! Thank you! The LAST method finally worked for me (slapping the phone against my hand)! My phone is new (within the last month) and I was getting discouraged/losing hope. So happy it worked!
Smacking it against my hand a few times did the trick! I tried all the other tricks first, but smacking it was the one that worked. Nice one! Thank you
This was really helpful, thank you. I have a Galaxy Note that couldn't focus on the wide angle and it was struggling to focus even when you zoomed in. I tried all the steps in the order suggested but like so many tech devices, it was the SMACK METHOD that worked. Thanks again...
Thank you, thank you.. had a terrible problem - suddenly my camera on selfie was black screen every time. i needed it for auditions. crucial and i certainly did not want to have to buy a new phone... did everything you said up to to the tapping and pressing on front and back of the phone - My protective screen came off as i did that and suddenly the selfie screen was perfect!. seems i had my protective screen on upside down and the black frame on the protective screen was covering the camera on the front screen!!!. what a jerk! so you saved my life just because i followed each one of your instructions - until the cover on my screen fell off - and i put it back on right!!!! thank you for all your effort though. ....
great tips.. im using your last method which mild smack and it working ,, Alhamdulilah !!!!!! others are not working for me.. thank you so much for helping dude.. you such amaizing !! may god bless you!!!
Bro you are a god... All other videos useless .. It took me 4 rounds of hard smacking to fix. Had you not have said to keep trying I'd have given up .. Legend bro
I think Samsung has to include a "smack that" message as a troubleshooting method. Went through all your steps and smacking it is what helped. Thank you.
My front facing camera was only showing black while I was trying to get on a video conference. Literally went thru every step and eventually got around to smacking the phone around. My S9 now works like a charm! Thanks, World of Tech!
Dude, cant believe the smacking was the one to work, my s9 would take a while to focus I tried everything and apparently there was something loose and the smacking put it back in its place. Thanks a lot!
My camera was blurry, tried everything and nothing worked. Read some comments about tapping fixing the problem si I tried tried tapping and nothing. Then I tried tapping it violently against a microfiber cloth on my hand and VOILA! IT WORKS NOW! Thank you so much for the video and thanks to everyone who left a comment about the tapping! =)
I have been trying the software fixes from the early part of this video via other sources for a couple of days now after my camera stopped working. I had installed a QR reading software for check-in purposes, and the back camera suddenly stopped working. Nothing was helping. The squish/smack combination actually finally did the trick, though. I feel so dumb, but I've not dropped the phone or anything and it lives in a hard case, so it didn't occur to me that anything might be wrong with it physically.
I've tried everything on the net and nothing works, it's all bullshit. I resorted to caveman mentality by dropping my phone in its case flat on its back about 30cm on my table and my camera is instantly clear. Make sure your camera is on and you have to drop it everytime you turn camera on. It works everytime, perfectly!
My wife's S9+ was blurry for anything that wasn't right up against the lens. I think it started after a fall or two off her nightstand. I tried the smushing, tapping, and slapping, in addition to the various software resets and storage/cache wipes. What worked for me was hitting the top left corner of the phone fairly hard on a counter top. Seems fine now. We'll see how long it holds up.
Who needs to smack the slippery things around when samsung designed them to self destruct from slipping from our hands or cover the shinny prick up with a rubber case!
Tapping my galaxy S10 worked. Problem begun after I dropped it. Thanks a lot.. just scared any small blunt force might cause the camera to lose focus again.
Did anyone else have a red circle on their camera when zoomed in at 2.1x or above? S9 plus and the last part worked.... How?? No more focus issue and the red circle has gone.... Liked and subbed
Thanks a lot! I tried almost all method until safe mode camera option. Smacking phone comment I thought was a joke but surprising it did work!! I suggest all to start with smacking phone option straight away which is around end of the video and save ur time! 😃
Holy poop! That fixed it! That is the dumbest easiest thing I've ever done to fix anything. I'm going to go try it on my truck next. I'll open the hood, jump on the engine and kick it.
I am total upset n disappointed when it comes to the part u got to some sort of massage ur phone. My thinking was thats it. No camera for me... But right after doing those my camera works.. U really save my phone cos i was about to change to other phone.. thanks for all the tips..
Edit. Pressing on the screen worked, but I have to do it everytine before I use tge Camera app. It didn't fix it permanently. Thank you for your video though. Very helpful.
The smack it into my hand (which actually stung a little lol) worked for me. I have a magnetic cover though so Im wondering if something metallic in the bottom of my purse stuck to it and caused the problem in the first place?
Oh my God, of all the methods I tried in this video, it was actually the SLAP METHOD that finally fixed my blurry camera!!!! Amazing! You truly deserve to be called "The Phone Doctor ". Thank you infinitely. You have no idea how badly I needed to use my phone for scanning documents & with a blurry camera it was simply useless. Thanks again & thumbs up.
My note 9 won't focus unless its in zoom and objects are close. Any advice, I tried all there tips no change. This was the best video I found on UA-cam tho.
I went straight to the last one-smacking. I had already tried several of the previous things from reading a post online. It worked for a few minutes, then went a lil blurry again. So I repeated the smacking and pressing process. And so far its held up...we'll see. Hopefully this is not a TEMPORARY fix.
Non of the above worked for my s9plus. When I use the camera if I hold the camera to something bright it will eventually focus but can take anywhere from 10 second to a minute.
The hard thumb massaging (near the base of the phone) and tapping has helped fix my S9's camera problem for 1-2 hours at a time (sometimes more), but my camera app always goes black again eventually (plus, weirdly, the "Gallery" circle button at the bottom left also goes black and is inaccessible when this happens. Very weird). If anyone has any advice or experiencing something similar, post it here! Thanks for the video too!
I can't believe the massaging and tapping was all my phone needed! After spending weeks trying to work it out. This has saved me going to the phone repair shop. Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The squish move worked for me. Unbelievable! I would never have done that out of fear that I would jack up the screen.
I tried all of the steps and what ended up finally working was smacking it quite a few times. Wow, I was in disbelief that this would solve the issue but it worked! Thanks for your very informative video.
For me the smack worked, but only temporarily. I do not know how to make the effect permanent.
@@ebhd33 I have the same thing
Praise the percussion mechanics
Oh My God.....Thank you so much.
My galaxy s9 camara all of a sudden couldn't focus images that are not close to the lens...I tried every possible method to no avail well until I came here watch ur videos, read everyone saying smacking works. Decided to give it a try and hit the top left corner of my phone on my thigh.... I was amazed when I opened my Camara app and it was perfect. Thank you so so much
Holy crap. Nothing worked until the final step. Slapped up my phone harder than my mum used to slap me and boom, working camera!
yo this worked for me too lmao thanks a lot
I thought all the comments were jokes, but I cant believe the tapping worked. Been without a camera for a week and so glad to have it back!
You are genius... I did the last part smacking my phone on my palm then boom!! It's work thank you so much
I tried everything to fix my phone for 1 hour.
THANK YOU!
Got all the way through to the "Hit it" section and a sharp tap on the upper left side fixed it :-) Nice one!
I did them all but probably only needed to do the slapping technique. I dropped my phone and figured this was the cause for the camera not being able to focus. It worked! Thankyou for making this video!
I tried every single method on here and finally, the smacking method worked! Thank you. Amazing.
Just bought a reconditioned S8 on Backmarket... all was fine except the camera that would not focus... was gonna send the phone back until I saw your video... the "smacking" part worked wonders!!! My front faced camera was black, I almost gave up hope but the pushing the screen part worked....THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Wow so helpful ..... went through all of the steps but a good smacking corrected the no focus problem on my Samsung S9 .... Many thanks
Awesome! Thank you! The LAST method finally worked for me (slapping the phone against my hand)! My phone is new (within the last month) and I was getting discouraged/losing hope. So happy it worked!
You are a genius man, the last part fixed it, I was almost ready to give up...... Subscribed..... Happily.
Smacking it against my hand a few times did the trick! I tried all the other tricks first, but smacking it was the one that worked. Nice one! Thank you

The smacking worked for me too! Bought a used phone from eBay and I was going to return it and voila! Thank You Very Much!
great tips.. im using your last method which mild smack and it working ,, Alhamdulilah !!!!!! others are not working for me.. thank you so much for helping dude.. you such amaizing !! may god bless you!!!

I think Samsung has to include a "smack that" message as a troubleshooting method. Went through all your steps and smacking it is what helped. Thank you.
Thank you! The blurr in my camera is already gone after following your advise. Thank you! 😊
I tried all of them and it was the smack method that ended up fixing it for me. Thank you!
My front facing camera was only showing black while I was trying to get on a video conference. Literally went thru every step and eventually got around to smacking the phone around. My S9 now works like a charm! Thanks, World of Tech!
I tried mine it didn't work
I tried all the steps with no joy, untill i slapped it a few times and it was as good as new. great advice thanks.
Dude, cant believe the smacking was the one to work, my s9 would take a while to focus I tried everything and apparently there was something loose and the smacking put it back in its place. Thanks a lot!
The smacking definitly worked for me too🥴
👊
Thank-you. Closing all apps worked for my S8. Makes no sense to me at all, but pleased it worked.
Can't believe I'm saying this but the smacking it hard on my palm worked for my S8, you're amazing dude

My camera was blurry, tried everything and nothing worked. Read some comments about tapping fixing the problem si I tried tried tapping and nothing. Thank you so much you are a genius really.. love you ❤😭😭😭
The "finger tap method" works for me, thank you very much !
the tapping on hand and massaging was what worked!! many thanks!!
Wow, ok. My camera would not focus for anything. I tried the smack method and there it is working again. Thanks man.
I have been trying the software fixes from the early part of this video via other sources for a couple of days now after my camera stopped working. as of 2/1/2021 the last method of hitting the phone in your palm back and front fixed my note 9. thank you very much.
My S8 camera stopped focusing and smacking definitely worked for me! Thanks a lot!
My wife's S9+ was blurry for anything that wasn't right up against the lens. I think it started after a fall or two off her nightstand.
