This is cool so you grade the pasture's so the horses don't have to worry were they walk around. To me this was a well done and perfect horse pasture flick.
Looks like the ground is still wet,but I’m sure by grading, will help it dry out.I take it your happy with your new truck.great video as always just keep doing what your doing.kudos.👍👍👍😎😎😎
I know it was for a friend, but you treat every job like it was your own property. You give it the same care & love and that's why people want you to do their jobs. You turned that into nice pasture. Thanks for sharing.
@@dansbrown1313 The only person who IMO handles a manually controlled grader better than Chris is Jeff JPayDirt. There are some videos of him cutting ditches with a grader that are impressive, but his best work (also IMO) was grading the new road for a housing development. The spec with super fussy and tricky to do, but he smashed it out of the park. Of course even the likes of Chris and Jeff would be hard pressed to match Charlie on his GPS controlled grader, but that set up cost crazy money.
the Takeuchi and its attachments is a very good versatile machine.. I remember way back when Tim ran it with the oversize bucket loading up dump trucks with pond slop.
Was beginning to wonder how long it was going to be before it was going to be grader day. Watchin the blade is cathartic for me for some reason thanks Chris
What a smooth Finish You have achieved - was a Terrific View from Underneath and starting Your Rock Collection - ha - the Field looks Brilliant indeed ! Up to Greener Pastures - a Job well done - Love = Lets go Farming ! Many Cheers from Australia!!!!
Great work Chris ! Thought I'd share what saw coming home from work. Stopped at a red light, I was watching a 210 Link-Belt excavator breaking up a concrete pad. All while ZZ Top , LaGrange , was playing on the radio. I found the quitar rift very fitting for some reason.....
@@judyfenske1429yeah good idea for a while but guess what loosening up all of that soil does? When it rains and you put heavy animals on that ground you’re going to have holes and what not. Would only be useful for a good amount of time if they let the grass get really well established and let the root system hold that dirt together before putting animals on it.
I used to be a grader operator for the City of Grimes, IA. I operated a John Deere 770A. I had 110 miles of gravel in our jurisdiction. I loved that job! Was there for 12 years! You li'l grader there is sure a nice unit!
Excellent progress with ruckus rake. Cool piece of equipment to have purchased. Great job, as usual! Loved video, thank u. God's blessings and be careful.
Great to see the grader out on a job again bro. With all the love that paddock has had it should be one nice field for it's intended purpose. Safe travels
A local farmer with a cultimulcher or pulvimulcher would do the same thing but probably you would have to pick rocks by hand. Great video and use of the rake!
I think what you do with your friends is commendable I grew up on a farm and we all kind of relied on neighbors each other for helping out from getting stuck and pulling somebody out to planting to bailing to whatever I think it's I think it's awesome what you're doing down there and I think it's great.
Field looks great but your forgetting one step. If you will take a drag mat after you power rake and run over it it will make it like glass. That drag mat fine tunes the finish. You can buy a good metal one at tractor supply for like 500. I pull mine with an ATV. I also drag over it after I seed. I promise they are worth the money. Pretty good for gravel driveways too.
Yeah, I remember this one, You took down a few trees around there where you dumped the pile of rocks !! Looks like it turned out nice and smooth Chris !! If it comes up anything like your field, it's going to look really good here soon !! Great as always Man !! Have a great Evening, And On too the next !!
Now for something completely unexpected and different on the Letsdig18 channel. We've seen Chris build a horse training padoc but not a pasture for horses. I always like watching Chris working his motorgrader for some reaon. Definitely a nice episode to watch on a lazy retired Wensday afternoon.
The John Deere drill we had two sets of boxes. , Drill wheat and dribble red clover. Combine wheat... Mow stubble straw and clover .. Bail for bedding ... Cows picked clover out of the straw. And horses.
I can’t recall ever seeing or hearing of anyone in my area grading a horse pasture and using a ruckus rake . I’ve seen people drag the fields and roll them to level them out. I guess if I wanted to make a good pasture for horses I’d want to get rid of all those huge rocks too. We don’t have rock in our fields around here in most places.
I seen what looks like the Ruckus rake being used at the Bristol Motor Speedway smoothing out some rough spots of clay that had to be filled and packed before racing could continue. Smoothed that field out all purdy and stuff.
That power rake is the only way to fly doing this kind of work getting rid of the rocks and debris is the best part ,the field just looks so neat and ready for seeding
By heck that rake makes all the difference - close to lawn standard finish. I'd definitely be looking at a FFP3 mask with that dust coming off the soil - being too unconcerned about that kind of stuff left me with a degree of COPD.
Standing on the running board of the seeder watching and checking the seed (wheat, barley or oats) running smoothly were fun times as a kid on the farm - we were helping Dad. Certainly put the new truck to the test - gosh it looks good. Ruckus rake is an excellent field preparation finisher.
Hey Chris can you do a review on the Takeuchi skid steer? Wondering about the reliability of a 12R2 versus a 12V2. Heard the V2 develops more play in the arms
Do you think in some scenarios having a Harley take on a tractor is better than a skid steer? as the tractor will pull it and not leave track marks like the skid steer does?
Operating a motor grader is definitely an art form and Chris is the artist. Great work, Sir!
The Harley take is one of the best tools made for dirt work ever made. Truly satisfying to see the results behind one ran right.
This is cool so you grade the pasture's so the horses don't have to worry were they walk around.
To me this was a well done and perfect horse pasture flick.
How COOL 😎 Amazing results again, Another job well done 👏! Let's Dig 18,!!!
Grading a field and picking up a ton of rocks before planting grass. You are truly amazing Mr. Chris. Beautiful field.
That skid steer was the business here.....Great finish.
Looks like the ground is still wet,but I’m sure by grading, will help it dry out.I take it your happy with your new truck.great video as always just keep doing what your doing.kudos.👍👍👍😎😎😎
Completely different change of pace but still so satisfying & the sound of those rocks going through the ruckus rake is hypnotising lol.😊
I know it was for a friend, but you treat every job like it was your own property. You give it the same care & love and that's why people want you to do their jobs. You turned that into nice pasture. Thanks for sharing.
The patience Chris has. This is a job that already looked fine to me, but Chris works it anyway to make it better.
Of all the construction equipment I've operated over the years, getting the hang of a grader always eluded me. A pleasure to watch someone like Chris.
I can see that, when I was a kid the county would butcher our dirt roads with a grader. Seemed like a hard machine to get a feel for.
@@mikewest712 Yes, Chris is very good on a grader. You'll know when you're nick name is "High pockets" that you need some training.
It's not for everyone it takes a special skill .like putting a crown on a road so it will slope even.
Good grader operators are as much artists as they are machine operators.

Thats what I like to see dust , be glad to see it up here in the north keep up the good work.
I must admit the 2nd half of the video with the camera under the grader was excellent viewing, thank-you Chris .
Beautiful day to be working outside.

May the rains be light and frequent. It’ll be nice to see the outcome this summer
I didn’t expect the rocks to be that big. Nice results!

Well that sure leveled that field out nicely and on camera it looks amazing Chris.
Great work Chris !

She beautiful Chris...
Fine job as always 👍👏👏👏
Great video, very skilled in the different types of machinery you can operate! well done, thank you, Mark from Australia! 😀👍
These people really must care for their horse to have the land professionally graded. Great job Chris.
They do not want a broken
leg from a trip in a ditch or hole. I had not thought of this before.

I think seeing a motor grader use to grand a field is a first for me.. looks realy nice..

Love the video Chris , and a lots dust .
Great Video enjoyed the change of pace Chris!!👍👍
"A circle" out of a rectangle..Nice job. Sir.
Farming is so much fun. I have spent many hours on a tractor eating dirt.
I do not know anything about telegram

Excellent and surprising camera angles. Your grader work is superb. 👍
Very good looking field now. Probably produce very good greenery soon.
A local farmer with a cultimulcher or pulvimulcher would do the same thing but probably you would have to pick rocks by hand. Great video and use of the rake!
Love watching that grader blade,I can smell that dirt !😂
The raker really makes the area look good amazing how much debris it pick out site looks great
Nice job Chris, thanks for the video! Take care, stay safe and God Bless!!!😊
You have some great equipment beautiful job.Thank you for sharing 😎
Best looking grade I’ve ever seen in a horse pasture…you’re the best.
Nice work , the horses 🐎 will love ❤️ it !! 👍
That ruckus rake shows how valuable a tool to have in the arsenal it is.
I remember this peaceful property and thought it couldn’t get any better…I was wrong! Excellent Chris!!! 👍👏👏👏👍
That looks so nice. I wish I knew someone to help me plant the fields 🤔😊🤣🤣
Amazed at the Dust that came off the Rake seeing how damp the paddock was when you graded. finished it real Nice though.

For the rocks and final condition of the soil I always liked the job a rockhound did and the clean up was easy you just dump the bucket

Chris you do very nice work no wonder youre so busy because youre first thought is that of what
The customers want an next do right
Good use for that rake !😊
We did get to see the business end of the grader video!! Very nice job on that field!!
When I was growing up never used a grader on any field. Disk it up and disked it until smooth.
Great job! Animals will be happy for sure on that!
IMO In the hands of the right operator, the grader is probably the most ingenious machinery inventions for land manipulation.
Great job looks great 👍🏻🇺🇸
This is very relaxing. Thank you!
I seen what looks like the Ruckus rake being used at the Bristol Motor Speedway smoothing out some rough spots of clay that had to be filled and packed before racing could continue. Smoothed that field out all purdy and stuff.
The grader doesn't get used alot, but when it does it sure is nice
Impressive finished grade!
That power rake is the only way to fly doing this kind of work getting rid of the rocks and debris is the best part ,the field just looks so neat and ready for seeding
Nice job. I have always had good luck dragging some old bed springs around behind. Levels and gets rid of tracks
Grader was my job in the Army A Cat 12 mechanical and a Huber hydraulic We built the first firing range for the Abrams Tank at Fort Hood Tx
That rake does n excellent job.
Nice work. 👍👍
Looking ready for grass seeds all ready chris
That Ruccus Rake is a beast! I could only imagine how well it would work if you had the “High Flow” Skid Steer!
Nice job Chris!
Love your vids man. you are ding great keep up tha work. Love the parts where you show us you driving the equipment and doing the work .......
Just have to love a power rake 👍👍
Got to love Letsfarm18 episodes.. Always fun!
Man, I could have made good use of a motor grader back in the days when I was prepping fields to grow sod!
I'd like to see a follow up on this project.
Hope to see the finished product. That ruckus rake is amazing.
I can’t even imagine what a pleasure that would be to plant into. The farmer did a great job to start with. Then Chris perfected it.

Job well done 👍🏻
Ok Chris how long before the OCD kicks in and you decide your nice new truck cannot be pulling around that ratty deck trailer? Good job on the truck.
Really nice job.
Chris you might have done as well with the skid steer and the rake but great job away looked like it was a little wet great video thanks
Hi Chris 👍🏻

Good morning Chris
Hope you have a wonderful day today
Chris that is now a perfect field for seeding.
Now seeded waiting for a little rain.
AMI ruckus for the win.
YOU ARE THE GREATS!!!!😄😄
I'm guessing a cab skid steer is a necessity with the rukus rake.
Ha… I had just said at 4:55 I do believe the Skid-steer & Ruckus Rake would do a Better job than the grader is…!! ✅ Funny how that happens. 😎👍👏
Hopefully this seeding turns out more like your field than the BealyGood pond.
😂 yeah old BealyGood talks a good game but no follow through. It is entertaining to watch his Snuffy Smith approach to life. 😅
Cool video. Enjoyed watching ✌️ 😎
Nice looking finish on the field, be nice to see it once it starts growing, thanks for the video young man.
Must b a golf course for horses,,,,we always tied a couple crossties behind the disk
If that grass grows as good as yours did they will be happy.
Do you think in some scenarios having a Harley take on a tractor is better than a skid steer? as the tractor will pull it and not leave track marks like the skid steer does?
I really want to run one of those graders
