Here is the video version of the podcast! Quick question: Do you have a preference for these interviews having video or just being audio only?
I ask because my podcast service will serve an audio-only version to my UA-cam channel but I can directly upload a version with video if people prefer it (we had both options up for a minute LOL!)
You can let me know if you are A. Yes, video! or B. Audio only or C. No preference, just keep them coming!
Thank you for your feedback!
And big thanks to Sarah for bearing with me on my first time as an interview host!
Always A.
It's nice to have the option to listen only (on a podcast platform) or to watch too (UA-cam). I think for content posted to UA-cam it makes sense for there to be visuals
I love watching, but will take whatever works best for you! Excited and grateful for interviews like this!
C - i do especially love audio podcasts
Absolutely A!
It was so fun to chat with you! Let’s do part 2 someday in the future 😁
Sarah, I have to express to you how important you've been to my artistic journey! And I want to thank you very much for it!
@@beckyraver7959I’m honored that what I share has helped you along 😊❤
I'd love to!
This was really fun and interesting. I could listen to another chat between you two. ❤
I throughly enjoyed this! Two of my favorite artists & art product reviewers together- it doesn't get better than this for me- thank you both so much for taking the time for this!
A real “no drama” treat, you’re both wonderful ladies who teach so much and are never afraid to share your discoveries. ❤️
thank you!
Ohhhhh two favourite artists! The joy ❤
Oh I LOVE Sarah! I have been watching her channel for several years, and thoroughly enjoy her and her beautiful art. Such a talent! Thank you for having her on, Lindsey!
What a joy to see a video chat betwen two of my favorite water media artists "talking shop" about process! Woot!
♡support comment♡ 😊 oooh... I love that you're doing this Lindsay!! and I also love who you have chosen for your first ever podcast guest! You two are lovely to listen to and I'm excited for your new podcast series in general. Thank you ❤
thank you!
LOVE This!!! Two of my most favorite artists!!! Wonderful!!
thank you!
What a treat to hear the two of you together!
Portable Painter and small paint journal, good idea to try sometime when settling in bed for the night.
Update; Enjoyed this so much while working at my acrylic painting, subscribed to both of you, and just had to tune in hear you talented ladies talk. At 75, I am getting back into art again. Thank you.
So fun to “sit in” on this chat between two great art creators. I look forward to more of these. Thanks for this series Lindsay!
You are so welcome!
Two of my favs having a full on art chat ! 🎉🎉. Yesssss. Don’t worry about the talking over LW, you will that iron that timelag out in No Time.
Great…thanks Sarah…now I am thinking,,,”hmmmm..drone”. If only I had a drone I would be amazing landscape artist. As if the internet image search doesn’t exist. 🤦🏽♀️🤣
That;s a good reason to buy one and try it! Right? Any excuse to buy what we want😆
Was just listening without the image and now to see you both is just awesome! 😍
Let me just say that for me that live in Europe like Sarah (I'm in Portugal) it was first of all a really nice surprise to see you interviewing other artist, but most of all one that lives here too.
I follow some artists/crafters/colorists that live in the US and sometimes the material cost or availability is very different, or the method has to be done in a different way (like Sarah pointed out about wet mediums during winter) and this exchange of knowledge between continents is so valuable!
Thank you for bringing us entertainment, tips and tricks, a very pleasant conversation and the opportunity to find out other great artists 😍
Now, back to watching 😉🥰
Thanks so much!
That felt like two old friends catching up - love the both of you. Thank you and I'm looking forward to "part 2"!
Glad you enjoyed it!
What a joy! I loved listening to Sarah’s story. It’s wonderful listening to artist chatting! Inspiring and needed! Love it!💕 Namaste 🙏
Glad you enjoyed it!
Like said this a few times on Sarah's videos before how the drone footage makes her videos elevated above the rest because of how beautiful it is and how inspiring it is beginning artist have that to look at and then try to translate it into our painting. It's not always as effortless as it is for Sarah, but OK we are beginners lol, if there is a award ceremony for influencers and such. I think Sarah should be the winner!
I agree! It is so good!
This was just awesome. Two of my very favorite artist together talking art! More please!
Will do!
Two of my favorite artists together! The best 1 hour and 20 minutes I have had in a long time! Thank you so much, beautiful ladies ❤ (A)
Wow, thank you!
This was great! Two of my favorite artists !
You are both sooooo real - love it! Thank you again🙏❤️
That was like Happy Hour - two of my favourite UA-camrs in one session!! Thank you ladies, I thoroughly enjoyed your conversation 🤩
Our pleasure!
So great! Love Sarah! Great interview/conversation between two awesome artists.
Good one Sarah and Lindsay! Interesting to watch since I follow you both. Watching art chats like this makes our watercolor community feel more like an actual community.
Awesome! Thank you, Steve!
Reasons why I loved it 1. No egos at play , you both said things I’m sure the other already knew but you stayed encouraging and entertaining.2.you inspired me to hang up my paintings which I did while I listened and encourage me to keep on creating . 3. I love and lived in Maine briefly and love and traveled to Scotland this past June, both beautiful picturesque places to visit . Great job lady’s thank you both ❤
Love that!
Looking forward to sipping a hot cup of tea in bed while watching two of my faves! Sarah's videos are so informative and relaxing. I love to see her drone footage of beautiful Scotland. Thanks to you both! ❤😊
Glad you like them!
I follow Sarah. She did something I wanted to do in my younger years which was go to Scotland. I just loved the idea of all the coastline and beauty. Instead I raised five boys into men and now I'm enjoying being back in my art world and loving life. I love Lindsay's great informational videos and Sarah's gorgeous videos which are full of so much inspiration. Great podcast!!! Keep it up!!!!
Thank you!
This is so cool.. i already watch you both. Youre a great interviewer Lindsay!
thank you, Sarah made it very easy:)
So awesome that you guys did a chat together ☺️ I’ve been a long time follower of both of your channels & ❤ both of you 🥰 I’m enjoying this while having lunch today 🙂
Yay! Thank you!
My 2 favorite UA-camrs in 1 place!! Love you both! ❤🎉😊
I subscribe to both of your channels, this is such a treat!
Thanks!
Aaaah... LOVE you both!!! This is such a treat!
Thank you so much! Sarah was delightful to chat with!
@@thefrugalcrafterI am having to work all day today catching up EOM stuff and this is going to provide some welcome entertainment (and information!). I adore Sarah's landscape painting. Also her background is super interesting. And, even though it gets far less attention than her gouache stuff (which I also love), she's one of the very few people I have found on UA-cam who is developing a marker technique that's along the lines of what I would like to be doing (with far less skill than Sarah obviously) with markers too! There aren't that many people who post marker content like that on UA-cam. Just off the top of my head now because I am thinking about markers - you should also interview @emhuesart ❤ (my humble request for this series), who not only has some super interesting painterly techniques with markers (and other media) due to her background, but is also just a spectacular all-rounder. Oh, and @lilstarnerd. Would also suggest an interview with Becca @nattosoup about her review series but that may send more controversy both your ways... 😔
@@thefrugalcrafter not sure if my reply was auto-deleted by UA-cam because it contained mentions of other youtubers' channels (oops), but just in case, here it is again:

@@gertietheduck Thank you for the great suggestions! I think I might make a google form or something that people can add suggestions to so I can stay organized. I deleted the audio-only version of this podcast on UA-cam so my apologies if it wiped out your comment. Thanks for reposting!
@@thefrugalcrafter almost forgot, James Gurney!!! But he already is very well represented on UA-cam. But wouldn't you loooooove to pick his brains in a podcast! He also has books/ new stuff in the works RN so may be happy to chat 😊
I am a new Sarah Burns fan, a new watercolor/ink and wash/learning to draw person ... at 68 years old. This was great ... Sunday afternoon as I am watching/listening and it is perfect. Thanks to both of you!
You're Welcome 😊
Awww ! This made me smile! Soo lovely. You’re both amazing x
Thank you so much!!
I’m soo happy to have found both you talented ladies. Happy Friday!
Thank you so much for thus chat between my two favorite art UA-camrs. This was a breath of fresh air and made my Monday. ❤😊
You are so welcome!
Congrats on the podcast 🎉
thanks!
oh im so happy to see two of my favorite artists
Welcome to the stub nib, ladies. On some regular fountain pens you can get a stub as wide as 1.5 or 1.9 in some brands. The parallel pen goes up to 6 though. That’s wild. It’s interesting how Sarah used the pen. Definitely something to experiment with for me.
I really enjoyed this chat. Thanks for getting together!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Two of my VERY favorites - what a TREAT! Thank you both for all your videos - I’ve learned a lot from both of you!
Our pleasure!
Love both of you. I’ve been watching and learning from you both for years. So fun to listen and watch two of my favorite artists together!
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks to you both for the knowledge and inspiration you have shared! This is fantastic. Great first interview Lindsay! I look forward to many more and the opportunity to learn about the backgrounds and different perspectives of artists. Nicely done!
Glad you enjoyed it!
You are both so awesome and authentic. I love watching your videos and I learn so much from you both. Thank you!
Thank you so much!
This is so much! I got my coffee and I get to hear an enjoyable chat from two of my favorite UA-cam artists - perfect for a Sunday morning. I need to go back and watch some of Sarah's videos on her dried gouache palette. I have Holbein gouache on my palette that dried out and is now crumbs.
Oh darn, I was going to ask her if she added anything to the palette like a watercolor medium. Definitely check out her videos!
You two Ladies makes Art UA-cam a way more Fun and Interesting place . thank you . 😘
Wow, thank you!
Great idea Lindsay, I like Sarah's art and videos, it's so interesting to meet the artist behind the paintings 👍🏾
I totally agree!
Sarah has the absolute best community on UA-cam and Patreon so I have to say I agree with 1000 people can make your living especially if they are loyal. My two favorite UA-camrs in one video thanks so much Lindsay.
I totally agree!
Lindsay, what a great choice for your first Guinea pig, Sarah is awesome and you do such a great job. You are really using your education. Great podcast❤️
Thank you so much!
. Yes, video. 😊
Hey @thefrugalcrafter I was delighted & excited to see your podcast/SatChat/vlog w/ @SarahBurns Then felt such glee upon seeing the time of 1:21:10!
I was preparing to paint along to your podcast but I found myself completely attached to the dynamic between you & Sarah. So I’m voting A. Yes video!
Just a note for future interviews: (I come in peace!) when preparing for interviews, asking your subjects the if; where; when; why & how, you will neatly cover all necessary information -kinda like a limited palette. 😊
Great advice, thank you. Any stumble and chaotic transitions were all on me:) I will be better prepared next time. Thanks for watching!
I really enjoyed this, I got to work on my Birb Fest birds while I listened. It's always fun when two of your fav UA-camrs get together for an art chat! Thank you for sharing all your insights and advice - I look forward to the next art chat! 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
omg my two favorite artist chatting love love love this
That was greets I love to watch the videos you and Sarah create separately so hear I get two for one lol
I’ve never seen Sarah’s channel before, I’ll be sure to check her out. It’s so cool she’s in Scotland, representing! 🏴 Lol I’ll be sure to wave hello to her if I spot her while I’m sketching around Edinburgh too. 😊
PS, It made me chuckle when Lindsay asked if it was a night scene. Lol no, that’s just how dark and grey it is in Scotland. Bring on the summer! Lol 😊
You are in for a treat!
I like to watch and see the people I am most often listening while I’m puttering around the kitchen cooking or washing the dishes
Sounds great!
Watercolor is magic - always me go to too!
Two of my favourite utubers together! I keep hearing about Pilot parallel pens . I’m going to have to try them out
I want to as well!
Nice chat 👍 I watch you both and was cool to see yous together in one video….. haha look fwd to more of these….. 🫶
That was not only very interesting but highly enjoyable, too. I like that this is a "hate free" channel (I ignore the exceptions). Thank you so much to both of you 🥰
Thanks so much!
Excellent podcast. Love listening to other artists talk. It's so true about only using a limited color palette.
Oh this is so fun!!! Ah! Love you both 😊
A really positive broadcast! Please do more!
I will!
The Pilot Parallel pens ARE awesome. They come in several widths and you can fill them with different colors of ink. ❤
Good to know! I haven't heard of them before, and then I watched her tutorial, and the "want monster" awakened!
😂@@thefrugalcrafter
19:22 enjoying this conversation so much. Wanted to mention that you can buy heated clothing that runs on usb battery packs. The vests seem like they would work well for an artist. Pants are available but I wonder about comfort on those. Also socks and gloves but gloves would hinder art I am pretty sure. Also just hand warmers in your pockets. I have mild Raynaud’s so I’m always looking for ways to keep warm. 1:06:06 😮It always blows my mind 🤯when people have non constructive comments. My first thoughts are always it FREE and no one is making you watch!!! I get so annoyed on behalf of my UA-camrs I follow when ppl are unkind for no reason. That being said our silly human brains do want to focus on when some is negative towards us. 🤦🏻♀️
Good idea!
Augh two of my favorites ever ❤❤❤love you both!
Thanks!
Oh so glad to have decided to click on this video! I follow both of you and I’m only a little bit into this video but I had to share my thanks for discussing art in bed. I recently purchased a bed desk that’s on wheels and goes completely across my bed. I’ve been in a horrible flare of my chronic conditions so it’s been a huge help.
Thank you for sharing what is working for you!
Great Interview! I so enjoyed listening to you both while I was swatching out some new palettes I’ve just put together.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love Sarah and loved the chat! 🤩
Wonderful chat! I watch you both and you are so talented. Thank you for the inspiration.
Thank you so much!
Fun to hear from both of you!
Thanks!
Brilliant video chat. Definitely do a follow up. Thank you.
Thanks, will do!
Like hangin’ out with my besties… and you don’t even know me. Thanks for sharing this, you are both awesome!

Two of my favorites!
This was so lovely! I love you and Sarah both; two of my favorite art youtubers! Sarah's videos are always such a feast for the eyes. I think I have art ADD too, lol. I want to buy and try EVERY art supply, lol. If only my budget agreed, lolol.
Tell me about it!
Love this collab!! Sarah has helped me learn so much with her watercolor tutorials.

When I just started watercolor I got a subscription of Skillshare and found Sarah on it. I am still following het. Love her art, humor and sensibility ❤
Wonderful!
fantastic video, so many amazing tips ☺☺☺
I agree with Sarah. I’m a technique junkie. I learn a new craft, get comfortable with it, then I want to do something else.
Sarah... 👑 Queen of Gouache !!🎉🎉🎉
Loved the podcast. I love both of you guys and it was great to see you interact and just chat. Thanks!

I really enjoyed the interview. I like the podcasts both ways, with and without pictures. I am usually doing art while I listen in. I really enjoy people "talking shop". Thank you Lindsay and Sarah for inspiration.
