Hi Lora : For the last 3 or 4 days it's now impossible to vote on Small Business, Big Impact! Award AWeber. Did they decide to put an end to the vote before February 8, 2019 ? I tried every day but the various entries that we had, are not there anymore.
Thanks, jvdiana. I'm staying home and safe, and I have 12 rolls of toilet paper left. The term "Three squares a day" has taken on new meaning! :-) Glad you liked the video!
Hi Red Dwarf NICE Minuet Sound. Do you use a Stronger Heavy Beat on FIRST 1st Note, and Lighter on 2nd and Third????????? Are there ...Any Minuet TIPS and Performance PLAN Advice...You could share with us PLEASE:-) Posted 11th October 2014
It is F natural, until the very end.....Bar 27, 28, you will have a high 2 F# on the D string. But it will always be low 1 F natural on the E string in the second minuet.
Wonderful teaching. Allow me to point out a small defect of the video, the right-top corner image is too sloping, i can't see clearly how the left hand move.
Sorry about that. I get the camera all set on its tripod (using a ladder).....and then I accidentally change how I am standing.....it's challenging! I'll try to do better in future vids!!!
Hello professor. Thank you very much for this 😊😊😊 Can you please tell me how long this normally takes to play this piece beautifully? It seems very difficult for me to play the whole piece beautifully at once without mistake
Hi Farzana, Have you worked through Suzuki Book 1 and 2? If you did, and if your teachers prepared you properly, this song should take less than 1 month to learn. In general, Suzuki Book 1 and 2 take about one year each to get through. So, after playing for 2 years, you should be ready to play this song. Let me know if I can help you further. You might be lacking some of the techniques taught in Book 1 and 2.
@@RedDesertViolin Thank you very much for your response 😊😊😊 I have completed Suzuki book 1 and 2 but for book 3, there are some new techniques but I actually did not practice enough when I thought this is hard. After practicing for many many times, it became much better. I think I underestimated the practice time needed for this piece. Would you please tell me how long it takes to complete Suzuki book 3? If I know that, maybe I will be able to track the time I should spend on each piece. My teachers doesn't seem to know that. He just wants me to practice so I get confused if I'm taking too much time or spending just too little
Christopher, you are asking GREAT questions. (the questions will lead you to the answers!) But, here's a hint: yes, if you are playing with the same bow weight, same bow speed, even if your bow stroke is perfect, it will be dead...monotone....unexpressive. So, just try adding bow weight to your favorite notes (or, when in doubt, emphasize beat 1, and back off of beat 2 and 3.) When the notes go higher in pitch, use more bow....add more energy. Those 2 ideas will really give you GREAT expression. Good luck. Keep asking great questions!
I only have to play the second one so if you do too then... 3:25

Yes, as in a waltz, I play it ONE two three ONE two three....of course, trying to be musical and subtle...
Red Desert Violin Thank you.. Should I count 1.. 2.. 3.. and Re-Articulate with a slightly heavy bow.... On the repeat count of One.
+Red Desert Violin how many minuets are in this piece I've been first chair for 5 years i am still not getting it!!!

this was a litle confusing but since i'm first chair i learned it quick.
Aren’t you mostly suppose to play at the frog?
Generally, no, especially in Baroque music, we play mostly in the middle-to-upper-half.
