not to ruin the fun but the difficulty doesn't actually effect how cases work, just how much damage you take. It does still make gathering information more difficult since you can't just fight anyone who stands in your way anymore
It's kind of a shame you can't get more difficult cases, I'm at the point with the game where I have started to recognize patterns with the generation, like when 'stick a pin in it' is written on the wall, it's always a workplace killer.
You can't script this kinda shit. The identity and possible prior interaction with the murderer, the Chekhov's gun of the strange apartment, the turnabout moment of solving the anagram... Like watching Ace Attorney before my bloody eyes

After picking this up following finding it on Dan's channel, I clicked on this so very quickly when I saw it in my recommended. Really hope to see more of this from Dan, it is a MASTERPIECE and was robbed of most innovative gameplay in the steam awards.

Now I want to see Dan tackle an extreme difficulty document theft. Had one case that gave me only the target's age and their spouse's occupation. Had to put every entry in the phonebook into the government database and check their date of birth. Took several hours and only once I'd finally finished did I realise that I'd got the year wrong.

I can’t remember the price but I’ve enjoyed it. I’ve played through the story mode once. Haven’t played through the new dlc yet but I’m happy with the amount of content for the price I paid
