Thanx mate, it’s really cool to hear you say that as it’s very cool to be able to showcase this lifestyle without the usual bells and whistles or pressing of the flesh that so many other channels do!
Hello there I don't know about electric bike motors maybe have your control power checked might be damaged. I'm glad you speak English making your videos lotta people speaking french or other language I don't understand. But I enjoy your videos. Be safe there my friend God bless you. Watching from Roseville California. USA Ray Garrett.
Every time I watch this I'm amazed. Your sounds are a little different than mine. Here in Ontario in the heart of the Great lakes it's a different sound. Your wildlife I love. At least there are no sharks in the lakes. I would have to go to one of the coasts to see Great Whites. But there are bears . Lol. You guys don't have guns ? I won't go camping without my side by side 12gauge. Lol. More worried about junkies. Lol Thanks Ash. I will email you.
Yeah we’ve got some amazing critters over here! I have always been anxious about sharks since a saw the movie Jaws when I was a kid, got so bad that even when I stuck my head under the water in the bath all I could hear was that ominous music, hehe. Oh wow, yes the bears, that would definitely add some anxiety to camping and cooking etc, good thing to have your shotty! Will keep an eye out for your email, stay safe mate.
Ash I'm looking at welders. Next Tuesday I will purchase a new unit. It's the one thing I really need. I've been thinking about this for five years. Every day counts at my age. Winter. I enjoy it but it can snow a meter in one evening.
Forgot to mention that my mate has just a pushy and his cuts out since new every five minutes, he just puts up with it. Apart from that which is almost certainly a display module fault, overheating is bad for bafang motors. A mechanic from a E bike channel says it's best to swap the grease out for better quality grease and have a temperature sensor installed. Great advice that I have always been too slack to do.
Well aren't you lucky? You get an answer quite fast about the bafang. In the past 5 to 6 years I have probably had as many bafang 1000w mid drives. They're great if you don't hook them up to a heavy load (as we do) and push them. They seem to die if you push them and I am speaking terminal. Most parts can be easily and cheaply found, but you need to be a bit like yourself (not me) and ok with electric work. I have chosen a hub motor for every wheel (camper also) for this build to hopefully not have this overheating/overworking motor terminal issue. Bafang hates slow RPM under full power. That's when I have noticed the most problems. Hills kill loaded bafang motors.
Thanx so much Dave for that info and yeah just as you said about the hills, that’s where it always comes to grief, never on the flat! Wow you’ve gone through some motors there bud! Hopefully I can fix the issue and not have it on level 9 going up steep hills anymore! Normally I wouldn’t do that but I was in a rush to get back to my son.
Cool video mate, what colour are you going to put on the outside, sounds like the water has gotten into something as well. I have never used that kind of motor i have always used hub motors, but on my next project many moons down the track i am going to use an electric motor kit to drive my quad, but that's anothe video lol. Have a great day Choppersrule1
Hey mate, I will put one of my artwork designs on it I think as a wrap but I need to wait until the portholes arrive as I want to do everything in one go! I look forward to seeing those videos bud, keep at it mate.
So, when will you have a Differential, installed on the rear wheels? And you should use white or silver for your trailer, much cooler in the summer time. And no window yet. And I have subscribed.
Dunno about the diff yet James, I seem to be surviving ok without it thus far. Only issue right now is with the bafang and controller cutting out, I just messaged Ben and he said that the batteries have cut offs on them and so I will look into that now. He said most likely the battery and not overheating like I thought. Research time now, hehe. Regards your questions about colour and windows is I have explained all that in previous vids, you can do me a favour and watch them and help me to get noticed by the tubes algorythm, hehe…
Maybe I can get your email? I love fishing and listening to your morning is worth the world. My plan , design is fluid but I'm leaning towards your direction. I've met some great conservation people and then you get Johnny law waving his gun. Lol seen it. Thanks mate. Gary Gibbs
No worries Gary, will PM you in a second. Thanx for your kind words again, it is such a treat to live this way and show others as well. All the best with your build, can’t wait to see it.
And I'm really liking your entire vibe. Waking up beside the river . Awesome.
Thanks from London, Ontario, Canada.

Oh wow, it seems to be a very common issue for sure. ( sad frown ) I like the idea of quality grease and a temp sensor, I will look into it, cheers.
