This is the equivalent of me saying ‘like’ in English too much, wanting to change it but giving up very soon. In Chinese I don’t have a verbal tick but I shutter a lot (as in I’ll repeat the same word 5-6 times for no reason)
My Chinese teacher told us that if we wanted to sound like native speaker we just had to say 就是 all the time, seeing this I understand what she meant now hahaha
Actually what I learned from my English teachers and peers who had lived in English-speaking countries is how to add 'like' in between sentences all the time 😂😂It's like I can't speak Chinese without 就是 or 然后
Even when he started to talk slowly and monotonously like an announcer, he still managed to say 就是 🤣 But for real, you don’t notice your speaking habits till you hear them back ;w;
This is honestly relatable, lol. And his suffering is so cute, sorry Aza... Thank you so very much for translating, it makes me so happy seeing VirtuaReal videos! ^^
Speech habits are honestly the worst because when you notice them but can’t fix it, it’s just painful and a little bit of you dies every time you catch yourself doing it
When you try your best and you don't succeed... And even done the opposite lmao He chose not to say it, he said it even more. Thanks for subbing this hauhahaua I am able to catch a stream of his nowadays but now the problem is my chinese sucks lmfao.
Thank you for sending me down the Chinese vtuber rabbit hole with this clip, and I thought I was already in deep with the japanese branch let alone knowing there's a chinese branch. This was a hilarious clip.
In Chinese, I have a habit of saying "那个“ which means that, I sound really dumb. In English, I have a habit of saying like, especially when I become aware of it it becomes like 5 times worse.
I know Chinese but am out of practice so I thought to practice by listening to aza, maybe I will also start to pick up his habit dhgnfhhm, but it’s not so bad since I don’t have the ‘idol burden’
The words themselves are common words used in normal conversations. I guess it's more about about the frequency of its use as a filler word, as with some words such as 'like, uh, so, well' that can be slightly distracting when used in quick succession. It's no big deal tbh so I don't think there's a need to go out of your way to remove it from your vocab ^^
Please i have bad chinese words habit too.. it sounds annoying when u say it too much so i get him ;; but the way he does it to get rid of it is so cute
Something like that. An interjection like 'Bah!' or according to translator, 'Pooh!'. It's like making the sound of spitting (in contempt) without actually spit.
@@sigcius5450 oh cool, thx for replying and for spreading niji ch content since I always watch them on Bilibili (I’m Chinese) and they need recognition😩
@@boukendabouken8202 You're welcome! Being Bilibili exclusive really does isolate them quite a lot since the website is not quite user friendly to begin with, much less for people that can't read the language. I hope to spread VR more and hopefully maybe more people will be interested in translating their content too!

Ikr same like “你能帮我一下吗?” becomes ”你-你-你-你你能帮我一下吗?” for literally no reason at all
SAME i cant go without saying a sentence without saying LIKE
Me loosing points on a oral test because I said “like” during a Chinese test
Old habits die hard.
The more he tries, the more robotic he sounds but it barely helps. XD

Hello, what editing tool/ app you use to edit the translations onto this video?
Hello! I used Aegisub for the sub then hardsubbed onto the video with avidemux
