How about a gradually increasing or decreasing diameter? Can this be detected? And cracks in the pile? Can you determine the difference between soil friction and diameter changes? Can you determine the difference between diameter (A) and mass density changes(Rho)?....... etc. etc.

If diameters is decreasing or increasing slowly you cannot detect, Major cracks can be determined but minors cannot exactly
Feanor show me a detected large crack and measured signal. In my 35 year experiance it has not been possible to see large cracks, but prove me wrong.
