I think there is a cheaper way to do this. Why not just make a handlebar that has all this stuff built in? That way you can make any bike into this. Cool idea though.
Besides the color, vibrating handlebars you won't notice, distracting turn-by-turn lights that take your eyes OFF THE ROAD, lack of a front brake (ie 70% of your stopping power), and the fact that it's lofty goals of tens or hundreds of connected bikes in your neighbourhood is a pipe dream... This is a pretty good scam at only $1,000. I can't wait to plop my hard earned cash down for something that will never ship and is ultimately vapourware.
HailgodMC There's no brakes on the bike in the video. As well as no gears. If that bike HAS the brake, it can only be the one integrated in the rear hub - not the best solution as for me (you need to spin pedals backwards to brake). Or the bike is a fixie - not a good choice for a SAFE ride concept.
