Beavis and Butt-Head Do America Review | So Stupid That It’s Smart

- Опубліковано 25 кві 2024
- The stupidest duo in animation got their own movie with Beavis and Butt-Head Do America. And in this review, I’ll be going on having my first true taste of Beavis and Butt-Head to see if it’s so dumb to the point of being enjoyable and an example to how they are Mike Judge’s most influential creations.

Butt-head: "Hey Beavis, there's a new Animat review up now."
Beavis: "Let's Watch it! Heh Heh Heh!"
Their thoughts afterwards?
@@hunterolaughlin "This is cool. Uhuhuhuh"
Esmeralda and Ultra Magnus in a Beavis and Butthead movie?
Never thought that be a thing.
Who knew a Beavis and Butt-head movie would win the box office against an Oscar bait movie.
And what was the name of that Oscar bait film that lost to these two idiots at the box office?
@@erichfiedler1481 Ghost Of Mississippi.
I think that if the movie deserved an Oscar it would be for Best Animated Feature!
@@hamursh Sadly that Oscar category didn't exist back then.
@@torstenscholz6243 Well I wish it was, and I wish that it existed in 1990 right after The Little Mermaid was released!
“Uhuhuhuhuhuh, Beavis. We’re on Animat’s videos now! Uhuhuhuhuh, cool!”
Yeah, it's cool. Heheheheheheh, neat
@@alienboy1322 Say Beavis, do you think he's gonna be reviewing our next film one day? Uhuhuhuhuhuhhuh
@@bloodyassault803 He said it was from a French director. So, a French fry movie.
Cool.
@@alienboy1322 Soooo, uh. Is it the McDonald's movie he's reviewing?
@@bloodyassault803
Burger World is better. We work there. Mm mmm neat.
Even Siskel and Ebert (who tended to be on the prudish side) recognized how good this movie was
Ok then
The movie did get two thumbs up from siskel and Ebert so this movie did get good reviews
Nice for you to mention them i have watch many of their episodes last week.
@@Nick-ty9usthat was my point, even critics like them who normally got on their high horses when it came to crass profane comedy gave this a good review
@@DocZFlux and remember the music video by LL Cool Jo’s Song “Ain’t Nobody”
Fun fact: In the desert psychedelic trip scene of 'Beavis and Butt-head Do America' (1996), Beavis says something backwards. When it's reversed, it's "I suggest that everybody go to college and study hard."
It was also digitally animated, something that wouldn’t be used for a couple years.
Buster: (laughing) Come on, LAUGH!
Arthur: But I don’t get it!
Buster: Neither do I, but they don’t have to know that.
Arthur (fake laughing): Oh that Peanut sure cracks me up!
Toby: HE’S NOT A PEANUT, HE’S A *PECAN!*
The next review is The Triplets of Belleville
The true definition of turning off your brain, and have a hilarious time 😄😄😄
Next review: The Triplets of Belleville
One scene I found particularly funny was where Beavis and Butt-Head are at the US Senate and get on the PA to announce their intentions to do it with Dallas for all of the Senate to hear, and all the representatives on the Senate Floor then start laughing like Beavis and Butt-Head.
Butt-Head: "Uh, attention. Attention. We're looking for the chick with big boobs."
Beavis: Yeah, yeah. We are ready to do you now!"
It wouldn't be out of place in our reality when we have people in congress who are idiots, and they're all on the right
Someone needs to tell animat to review over the hedge that movie was released in 2006.
What's next? The Triplets of Belleville?
Yes
@@brendis16851Oh
Oui! Mat's delving deeper and deeper into l'industrie de l'animation française! To be honest, I'd like do go into and watch some good French animated films. I mean, "Despicable Me" and the rest of Illumination's films are technically animated in France, but they are American-produced. Maybe something like "Ernest et Célestine" might make for a pretty adorable cours pour débutants, if you know what I mean.
@@davidhileman8567 I also recommend you to watch 1973's Fantastic Planet and 2007's Persepolis. Those two are the most recognizable French animated movies
Beavis and butthead were the original Mordecai and Rigby. But if to pick my favorite scene of the movie, it would be the campfire scene when the duo unknowingly met their fathers. I actually thought it was interesting and hilarious.
I honestly never heard or seen Beavis and Butthead. The only time when I first recognized Beavis and Butthead was when Arthur made a reference parody/spoof of Beavis and Butthead in one episode and maybe later I saw a Robot Chicken crossover episode between Beavis and Butthead and Teen Titans 2003 tv show.
That Robot Chicken episode was my introduction to Beavis and Butthead
Thank God we aren't getting cavity searches anymore! That seems very uncomfortable!
Butt-Head: Hey, Beavis. What is The Next AniMat's Classic Review?
Beavis: I Don't Know. Cats Don't Dance? Robots? WAIT! THE TRIPLETS OF BELLEVILLE
Butt-Head: Sylvain Chomet should take The Keegan Michael-Key and Awkwafina With The Furries
Beavis and Butt-Head: [laugh]
I like to think Agent Flemming is Boomhauer's maternal uncle and he followed in uncles footsteps
This is honestly in my top 10 best animated tv to movie adaptations. This was the most fun I’ve had watching a movie in a while.
Also, I can’t believe it, The Triplets of Belleville is next!
Beavis and Butthead are some of the greatest duos in media history, and they managed to get not one, but two kickass movies.
The first one is a classic and one of the best movies based off a cartoon.
9/10
Hope you do the long awaited sequel of this, as well.
Now we wait for Do The Multiverse
Thanks for this Long Requested Review! (I'll never forget seeing this on Netflix and I laugh out loud at the Airplane scene!) Fun Fact: when the film was being envisioned as a live-action movie, the studio wanted Chris Farley and David Spade to play Beavis and Butt-head.
Way before 'South Park', 'Aqua Teen Hunger Force', 'The Simpsons' and 'Bob's Burgers' had their own movie adaptations?
Yep.
King of the Hill never had their own movie though. When will Family Guy have their own movie?
@@wolfgangamadeusmozart1293 Hopefully never.
South Park was only a few years later.
I’m still waiting for that family guy movie adaptation
Beavis and Butthead Do America (7/10)
I'm happy that Animat got to review this movie.
Animal farm, It was a great adaptation of the George Orwell Classic.
I remember Beavis & Butthead being seen as dumb and stupid by adults but now I appreciate them!
Funny thing, you uploaded this right before I was LEAVING Vegas.
Funny thing, earlier when I was at Walmart, I saw a box set of the Beavis and Butthead collection that contains a selection of episodes and this movie. Now the thing is that all the boxes seem to have the Walmart stickers placed upside down. I don't know if that was intentional or not, but if it is, then that's actually kinda clever considering the titular duo's stupidity. It sounds like The Triplets of Belleville is next, I've been hearing some good things about it.
The Soundtrack is still freaking amazing:
Isaac Hayes * White Zombie * Red Hot Chili Peppers * AC/DC * LL Cool J * No Doubt * Ozzy Osborne * Butthole Surfers * Madd Head * Engelbert Humperdinck * Southern Culture on the Skids * Rancid & Stubborn All-Stars... they nailed the album!!! 👍👍📀
Uhuhuhuh, you said butthole, uhuhuhuh.
I always loved Rob Zombie's art work in this movie.
So in the next review it's time for a Swinging Ronde-vous.
Yeah, I have a real soft spot for protagonists who are so chaotic that it completely baffles any opponent who's trying to understand/predict their behavior. (Probably one of the reasons I like One Piece, for that matter.) Watching Beavis & Butthead completely humiliate the government is just endlessly satisfying to me.
Tom Anderson is the reason why I watch the movie. He reminds me so much, of Hank Hill. And I wouldn't be surprised if they are related.😂 ironically the same animation on Beavis and Butthead came from King of the Hill, mostly down to earth materials these two have in common
P.S. (13:49, that bit kills me every f***ing time😂😂😂😂)
One of my favorite animated movies based on cartoon shows.
Great review Animat and take care and stay safe 👍.
Beavis: heh heh heh heh heh!
Butt-head: uhuhuhuhuh
Thanks for the spoiler.
@@torstenscholz6243 how is this a spoiler??? I was only doing dialogues
I heard nothing but mixed things about the show growing up and I never got the chance to watch it, but it was generally agreed that the movie was good.
I finally watched it a few years ago, and adored it.
This movie has made me laugh my ass off countless times, and somehow I predicted you would get around to reviewing it 🤣
18:43 so a movie by Michael Bay.
Its kind of the purpose to have the everything redrawn when the characters are talking. Thats the style
The first time I heard of the show was when the tiny toon adventures spring break special from 1994 referenced it.
Comparing clips from the movie to the old MTV shorts, I have to say that the whole franchise probably started off very low budget, and ended up having that quirk where the characters wiggle around because the entire body got re-drawn. Even if the movie had more resources than the series, I think they wanted to keep that quirk, because it was an endearing part of the franchise, and probably went hand-in-hand with the humor. The series “Ed, Edd, and Eddy” had a similar effect, but mostly with the lines rather than the whole body, and it was called ‘boiling lines.’
What will be the next Animation Podcast? Wait… The Triplets of Belleville? This is gonna be interesting. By the way, I have seen a few of Beavis and Butthead
Glad you like it, I am a Beavis and Butt-Head fan myself and I think you did a great review!
definitly the funniest animated movie ever made and it got me hooked into Beavis and Butt-Head
I actually saw this movie around 10th grade either on Netflix or free on UA-cam.
The Triplets of Belleville is next?
Yes it is.
So stupid that it’s smart is not how I would describe the simps on Twitter/X and threads. So stupid that you don’t wanna be like them.
Tell me about it
1:03 I thought it was because it was inappropriate.
Can you do Reviews for some of the original Disney movies like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937), Pinocchio (1940), Dumbo(1940), Peter Pan (1953), The Little Mermaid (1989), Beauty and the Beast (1991), Cinderella (1950), Sleeping Beauty (1959), One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1967), Marry Poppins (1964) and other Disney films from the Wartime Era?
This movie is the main inspiration for my upcoming fanfic: Ed, Edd n Eddy: Americaniz-Ed !
I'm not a big fan of the duo either but their commentary on music videos (and Internet videos in their newer show) is a crack up!
I've at least seen several episodes of the original show, and while it's not one of my favorites, I still got plenty of good laughs from this duo. Haven't seen the movie yet, but I'd love to check it out someday.
Can't wait to hear your thoughts on "The Triplets of Belleville" next time.
The first Beavis and Butthead movie is brilliant. 😀👍
I’ve never seen the Beavis and Butthead series either, but I do see the enjoyment of this movie. I am aware of how this show was the reason why viewer disclaimers were enacted on Tv shows
The film is one of my favorite comedies.
The only thing I disagree with your take is your nitpick on the animation. The film was animated like the show but more high scale and higher resolution. Thats kinda the point. The movement between frames is kinda charming and makes it feel like the show but doesn’t feel like a usual episode.
But that’s just me glad you saw it and loved it
Hard to believe a show starring two of the biggest idiots in history (and have real life lookalikes in the form of the convicted ex-president's two eldest sons) would be influencing two great shows including Daria, and King of the Hill (the latter might as well be a time capsule of what conservatism used to be)
Well, King of the Hill was also done by Mike Judge, and Daria was a spin-off of B&B, although it had actually very little to do with B&B and became its own thing.
*Reads Title* Just Like Ed XD
I was the same way when I first saw this movie. Heard of them, but never saw anything with the 2 beforehand.
My parents saw this film in Theaters in 1996
Thanks for giving This classic a 7 out of 10😂
Even though I'd remembered watching reruns of King of the Hill on Adult Swim and on Hulu
But I've always found Beavis and Butt-Head to the funniest and more entertaining then King of the Hill (side note) I'm not bashing on King of the Hill I've just found Beavis and Butt-Head more entertaining
This movie is also my gateway into Beavis and Butt-Head... and it was quite an experience the first time I watched it on 📼
*BY FAR* the best thing in the flick is the Rob Zombie hallucination scene. 🧟♂️
I like to think now that Beavis and Butthead is actually SML Jeffy done correctly.
Exactly!!! And has the upper hand of having two successful movies
Started watching the show about 7 years ago and it quickly took over.T shirts, banners, keychains kinda have a small collection now.
Keep it up on your videos hope to see more
I feel bad that your mom didn't let you watch Beavis and Butt-Head, because most kids(Me included) were into it and my parents let me watch it when I was younger and I always loved it. I still have yet to see the new seasons, because I still haven't rewatched the show, but I'm gonna someday. Hope you'll get to see it at some point.
Uhuhuhuh, you said into it. Uhuhuhuhuh.
@@torstenscholz6243 Uhuhuhuhuhuh. Into it. Uhuhuhuhuhuh.
This is cool
it'll always baffle me how the general consensus on the animation of Beavis and Butt-Head isn't that it's brilliant. the watercolor backgrounds especially in the series from 95-97 were gorgeous and ugly at the same time. Very true to life in my eyes.
This movie is the definition of random but funny.
I never really got into Beavis and Butthead, but this movie is pretty damn hilarious. It’s just the absurdity Mike Judge is so good at & the gags are enterprising; especially the cavity search, you know if you’ve seen this movie 😂😂😉😉
Can you review Klasky Csupo's Immigrats
Honestly, as someone who hasn't grew up too much with the show but started in middle school, it's safe to say you can enjoy this movie without watching too much of the series.
Hell, seen this movie when it was free on UA-cam sometime last year and I still had a good laugh with this like I did a few times before as a mid-30's man.
Also, the hallucination scene is 100% the best part of the whole movie, like a music video.
🤘
Happy birthday to my dad
So close to an eight.
I hope you review more and many movies based on the TV show
My favorite MTV show from childhood.😂
Could you please review The Goode Family ? 😊
Belleville Rendez-vous! AniMat is going to review Belleville Rendez-vous! I LOVED that film so much as The Illusionist.
23:32 Who?
Considering that I broke my kneecap in early March, I found Beavis' fall at around 13:09 painful to watch.
But otherwise, it seems like a decent film, and your review is grand!
Daria was a spin-off of beavis and butt head go figure also I’m still waiting for you to review Tarzan
Once Again Animat has released Another Fantastic Review and as for My Thoughts on The Film not only is it One of My Favorite Animated Films but’s also One of The Funniest Animated Films I’ve ever seen and One of The Best Films Based on a Animated Series 👍👍👍
oh this video made me want to rewatch Triplets of Belleville again!....yeah I know weird since this is a Beavis and Butthead Movie review (which I do really like btw).
I have not seen this.
I have no desire to see this.
If I want to see idiots wreaking havoc, all I need to do is watch the news.
I did a whole movie reaction of this on my channel in-character and I will admit it's funny and if you got a friend with you, You'll both have a good time but in all honesty, it's an okay movie to me. Memorable but nothing I will come back to for a while. It's not to say it's bad but I've seen better adult movies, especially Animated ones. I would rate it a 7/10.
Also anyone else notice how the structure and some plot elements feel like Dumb and Dumber if it was an animated movie?
I think there’s a logical explanation as to why your mom forbade you to watch Beavis and Butthead when you were young.
On September 6th 1993, the episode “Comedians” contains a scene where a comedy club is burning down and the two main characters are commenting on how cool it is.
At the time, it was said that it encouraged a 5 year old boy named Austin Messner to literally burn down his trailer park home, which killed his 2 year old sibling.
Later on, it turned out that the cause was not the case.
So in other words, I think your mom at the time didn’t want you to go through the same fate Austin did.
At least that’s my theory.
16:21 and Megan Parker from Drake and Josh is the prototype of Carly Shay from iCarly
Carly is way better than Megan anyway
One of the few times from Animat where it's the animation that drags down a movie's score.
This is the worst animated movie about Beavis and Butthead I don't like it
As a serious Beavis & Butthead fan I'll just suggest you watch seasons 3 and 4, or at least a selection of episodes from those seasons.
I assure you, the sequel is much better
My brothers and I love this movie. It is interesting watching it as an adult compared to when I was a child, I was stunned how many adult jokes I missed. And I loved the Rob Zombie animation section.
Please Review The Casagrandes Movie!
can you cover the Aqua Teen Hunger Force Movie after?
Already did one.

Second movie is better.
Disney Bambi next?
Nope.
Hey Animats, Ever since you banned me on your Facebook page, I have been very disappointed in you and seriously disappointed in knowing who you are. I know, Animats, that you're a great guy. Ever since you banned me on my personal Facebook profile, people are starting to know who you really are. Mats, this isn't like you.
Even so, you will get a lot of hate as people get tired of you for who you are.
You were my idol since 2015, my favorite UA-camr, but now I don't watch your videos as often as I used to-ever since the ban you gave me on my personal Facebook profile. Because Rooster Tooth was being mean to Vic.
You shouldnt have done that to me.. But I will support your older videos, your little time to time.
I was once your biggest fan and truly a "loyal fan".....
Keep acting who you are for ban people on FB and block, then people get tired of you. I know you're better than this Mat.... but I'm just a former and neutral fan of your...... But I wish you be a better person and realized what you did, wish you luck on future.. I have no interest to support the new videos on current future expect- little bit over 2% I'm sorry..
