Yeah the $16.99 issue was a huge thing that caused them lots of issues I remember everyone was trying to buy the trolling motors Bc the barcode or something was wrong nationwide.
We got lucky and had no issues we even got the bass raiders on clearance. Academy is actually having another clearance sale right now with an additional 50% off. I went earlier got a nice jacket at a steep discount.

Hi, it should be the same but I’d call Minn Kota just to make sure the transom will fit the different size motor shaft. I called and gave my model and serial number and they told me which transom Mount to buy.

Woody Woods thanks for watching! So what I did was call Minn Kota directly, gave them my serial number and asked them for the size of shaft my motor had. Then I just ordered that size.

It should be the same thing. Just unplug your wires put the transom mount in and plug your wires in again. Good luck let me know how it turns out for you. Thanks for watching.

That’s true. Open up the head and see if it’s the same process as this one. It’s just a couple of screws.

Very curious if you can steer the boat with the foot pedal once you go transom mount. Can anyone report if the foot petal directed steering works when a bow mount with foot pedal steering is converted to transom mount??

When I bought this motor it was on clearance for 67.97 then it had an additional 75% off so it came out to 16.99. Right now they have the sale going on at all academy’s for an additional 50% off of clearance. I saw a $550 Minn Kota 55 lb thrust foot control motor going for $180. If I needed it I’d buy it but I already have a troll king so I don’t need the foot control. I didn’t see any boats on sale at my local academy this time. Go check out your local store hopefully you get some good stuff! Anything ending in .97 should be additional 50% off. Good luck.

I’ve heard that it does not fit foot control because the shaft is to big. Perhaps Minn Kota sells a transom Mount with a bigger shaft width. I’d call them first to get specs on shaft width of the transom mount and your specific model.
What did you do with the bow mounts?
I’m saving mine for when I get a bigger boat.
