Honestly, I think Riven is just trying to find his place, like where he stands. He doesn't like being in Sky's shadow, so he tries to be different than him. You can tell by the way he secretly apologized to Tera for being a dick. Being a dick to everyone is just a defense because he doesn't want everyone to pick on him, or think he's weak. I think he's actually really deep inside.
I couldn’t agree more with you ! It’s why I love him that much. I really hope that we get a second season and we could see more of him. And maybe we will have the chance to have Musa and him together ?
I hope there's a second season too, but personally I really love Musa and Sam together. I want to wait for Riven to have a character development to choose who he should be with.
i really wish sky started seeing riven as someone more than just a mean person who likes to get into trouble. like - theoretically they're friends but i think sky doesn't really treat riven as one. you could see it in that scene after a training when sky was worried about silva and riven started telling him that he was there for him but sky didn't care at all , just ignored him and went away. riven was really hurt and it was sooo unfair. i do hope their relationship change in s2 because riven deserves better
I`m not sure I agree with you. That time when Riven was offering support, Sky was just scattered, he was too worried about Silva. I think it`s understandable. And I could see it on Riven`s face, that it hurt, but he understood. Sky does care about him, helps him, covers for him. Really sees him. Even though, let`s face it, Riven`s not always easy to be friends with. Don`t get me wrong, I love Riven, I root for him in any situation, I see that his provocative behaviour is mostly a defence mechanism, but... he does act like a dick on many occasions. And regardless of his reasons to act like that - it is hard to tolerate it. And it`s hard to take rare occasions of Riven being sincere seriously. But yes, I do really hope their relashionship will be... more brotherly next season, because yes, Sky needs to get off his high horse too every once in a while😃

yes!! many people don't realise how insecure riven is even though it's discretely shown throughout the series. I think that's why he needed Beatrix this season however I do want a slow burn w riven and musa 😅
I love this 💛 Their relationship was one of my favourite aspects of the show - not because it’s perfect but it has so much potential & because there’s some underlying ride or die energy with them & you just know they really care about each other ( even though I think sometimes Sky doesn’t really see how Important he is for riven) & I just want more of these two !!!
it feels a lot like john b and jj from OBX, they fight like brothers but you know that when one calls the other will be there in a heart beat. Ride or die situation. best friends no matter what. i hope in season 2 we can see more of their friendship and how it seems like they are pretty much everything each other has
Since childhood, I have this friend. I was like Sky, the perfect golden child a little arrogant and selfish who want to be like everyone want him to be. And my best friend, she was like Riven, who is looking for a place and someone to be while in the shadow of his friend. This makes me sad because now we don't even talk. I was to distant, I took her for someone lesser than me, she is not but that's what others always told me. I can express how it sadden me. I could have save her if only I had really try. Don’t get me wrong, Riven’s a piece of work, but SKY was the bad friend. “Only one who accepts me as is” *finds someone lower on the totem pole to look up to him. Riven just wants to be acknowledged by Sky. Also, he hates the school and we know nothing about his past like what? Despite seeming shallow at first glance, Riven is the deepest character on the show. Of course, that’s just my opinion.
