A lot of people don’t know Master P started his rap career in Richmond, CA when he lived there. Master P made the “West Coast Bad Boys” compilation, it’s a classic Bay Area album.
"the ghetto tryna kill me...they might send me to da pen but doin time that don't scare me" boi if yall wanna here some real sht ghetto gangsta music pull that mf up. Classic G sht!
@@nobeinfgang he’s in the no limit doc episode 1 wearing the bulls jacket…he introduced p to k Lou …my mom used to work at Safeway and would let p steal stuff since he was living in the back of his shop at the time 💯
When Master P did the first West Coast bad boys that album was an all time classic album because he had JT the Bigga Figga Mac Dre he had everybody on that album I think that album had over 30 tracks on it double Disc at that time I remember buying the double Disc album back in the days when it first dropped the streets was on fire it’s still a classic to this day I will give it to Master P. That was a great idea putting something dope like that all together to put all the rising up coming hot artists on the WestCoast all on one album that was genius. JT ‘s track game tight I wore that song out & Mac Dre’s What Cha like that was West Coast bad boys 2 l used to wear that song out. until the disc started skipping.
Yeah man it's amazing how much game he has learned over the years and I learned that he taught master p the manufacturing game when he didn't know anything about that when they both had distribution deals with priority records.
Part I was decent but West Coast Bad Boyz II.. I remember when it dropped, the song RIP 2Pac was a moment in that time and still one of my faves. This is the only time I've heard a west coast bad boyz album being brought up in an interview.. great to hear some back story on it.
always love how people remember that album...a good friend of mine bought that at the same time i did...one of the best west coast compilations ever made...even remember talking about that with a security gaurd at guitar center 15 years after the fact...people remember good quality... great job west coast!!! 😁👍
Beats By The Pound don’t get their respect. That RIP Tupac beat was so f’n hard. They had so much hard shyt back then. When they left is when No Limit fell off.
Back then I was listening to him and I live in Kansas. His group was GLP. Get low Playaz. San Quinn , Seff da Gaffla, D moe. Eventually had individual projects. Herm brought everyone together. I think RBL and hitman albums were my favorite. Ghettos tryin to kill me is definitely a classic. Just so many california artists during early 90s I could go on and on. After it got too mainstream I ended up listening to Memphis and other South artists.
JT can remember exact release dates & the date he signed but he said he was 20 when his album dropped in 93 & he was 21 when he signed with priority 95 lol
Distrubution deals was the next level of the rap game, & selling CDS out the trunk was more lucrative than selling dope, & it was legal money! That's how we knew what artists were official 💿💿💯💯
You can still do it but fam you gotta make sure they all get paid. P paid everyone to be on the album. He paid for features, songs , and the art work. He also paid them to be in the video for peace 2 to the streets. So man it’s possible but you gotta get in there and make friends with some rappers that you may not have that much in common with and you may have to deal with them shittin on you like they did p.
the bigga figga been that man cents day 1. he has put so many rappers on an shown a blueprint to the independent game this whole tyme. we love jt since 91.👊🏿👊🏿
JT is an unsung factor out here in the Bay. We all have our issues within our region, but I love all of us and I’m glad this brother is still healthy and going! ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽
damn, where do i begin... there defiantly needs to be a movie based on JTs life its just he's more invested in the game than anyone knows.... getting his story told would be so hard considering the rapper and big figures in this game that have to be reenacted... JT the biga is so slept on
@FIGG is the exact DEFINITION of "Making Something Out Of Nothing" a Genius when it comes to Hustling, having the ability to find talent at their early stages even though they never SALUTE him for it, Alot of your favorite artists have gone through @FIGG first!

Richmond Ca has a bunch of stories that's not on the internet from Dr.Dre failed venture before aftermath records, 2pac stories, Master P stories it was alleged that he ran off with a bag and dudes was on his head at least that's what was rumored in the streets, I asked my OG's would they do interviews and they said hell naw lmao
A lot of people don’t know Master P started his rap career in Richmond, CA when he lived there. Master P made the “West Coast Bad Boys” compilation, it’s a classic Bay Area album.

The first song on Master P’s first west coast bad boys was dope and JT went off on his verse.
I'm tryna do what Master P did the for the Bay and California period put all the rappers from Chicago and the whole Midwest in one tape
You can still do it but fam you gotta make sure they all get paid. P paid everyone to be on the album. He paid for features, songs , and the art work.
