My late friend and AMA junior pro rider had a Ron Wood Rotax bought from Ron's own collection A single shock frame bike, only maybe 3 were made. Awesome machine.
Dude Sammy is the guy that got me into rotax. Castle rock Washington, I was a kid and I was like dad what is that bike, he was like rotax with a super trapp. Such a bad ass bike
This dude walked into K&N Yamaha when I worked there one day with Sammy McDonald and I couldn’t believe it. Place brings in some great racers just from being around so long
It's been a while since I raced a twin shocker. Now with the modern single shock, we have a lot more adjustability. Thanks for checking the vid out! Cheers -FTF
@@sammyhalbert I see a replica one was just sold at a Mecum Auction. I sure wish you could buy a Champion or Redline Frame now days for a reasonable price. I also love Steve McQueen's Rickman Multise Dessert Racer. It would be fun to get the Rickman frame and put a Yamaha MT-07 engine in it. ua-cam.com/video/uwbC0t_nOIo/v-deo.html
@@sammyhalbert At the Same Auction I see Garad Meese's 1st year National Champion FTR-750 sold for $140,000.00 They used to be about $37,000.00 new. I don't even know if Indian Produces them New now with all of the rule changes. It was a bad deal for NASCAR to Eliminate the Factory Twin Class. The Pro Twin Grid was not full so they Eliminated the Factory Twins class. All they had to do is have a much bigger payout to fill the Grid. NASCAR Drivers actually make Millions. It costs Millions to race NASCAR and the Teams are losing Sponsors. NASCAR take too large of a cut from ticket sales and TV Contracts.. Always good content with the Slammer!
I discovered Sammy from the UK through Sideburn magazine. Nice to see him on the channel - looking forward to seeing him back on the Rotax!
We're discussing that possibility.
The collab we didn’t know we needed!
Excellent definition of a framer. Now I know a little more about the bikes.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching.
Great chat on the Rotax. Had me looking up engines out of curiosity afterwards!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Always loved Sammy and his family. Got to meet Sammy and his family in West branch Michigan. Great memories.

Getting close to 5k subscribers. Woohoo!
Time for a party 🎉 Factory20 Tee giveaway? How does a dude, in his shop, talking smack, get 5K?
@@FlatTrackFactory People wanna learn about this awesome American sport. Can't blame them. I hope you get to many more than 5k.
Sammy is a great guy ive known him since he was about 12 or 14

You do not need to tell me about the badass Rotax, they are wicked fast! Big hugs for Sammy, he is badass fast too!
Without a doubt on both.
Yeaaa gotta love that Rotax Powa! 💥
It handles well on the straights.
Graham Washington's own
Gr8 stuff!
I keep a #69 plate on my Harley for Sammy & Jethro 😢
With the dual shock knights, shock length was everything. Rotax = flywheel and free revving

😮 It's so good to see that each generation is fully aware that the other one knows absolutely nothing of value. It's a race to the death ☠️...🏁
I am sure that Sammy has ridden a lot of bikes, but has he ridden a Yamaha TZ-750????
I haven't, but I have one that we're rebuilding.
Consult w/me on proper spring rates. Don't want you draggin ass around the track.
