I'd love to hear you review the various wedding website sites. Like the knot, zola, wedding wire, etc. which is the best for building your own wedding website for guests?
Depends what you're doing! I tried both WeddingWire and TheKnot. I prefer WeddingWire for website (you can add a honeymoon fund or URL easier), budget, seating chart, RSVP (you can add children and dinner choices which you can't do on TheKnot). But for searching vendors I prefer TheKnot.
Literally ordered like 13 samples from minted this afternoon. I can’t wait to get them and I need to mention the fact they offer a paper option that is made from 100% recycled material!
@@chelseaalmost_ they currently have a promotion that is 10FREE so I got $10 off and each sample was $1 so I only had to pay $3 for the remaining ones. They also all came with the belly band, RSVP card, detail card and the invitation.
Love this! Can you do another one for the cheapest invitations: Costco, Mixbook, Shutterfly, Sam’s Club, etc? I’m really curious if their quality stands up!
Check out Ann’s Bridal Bargains online. I love the quality of their stuff! I ordered my save the date postcards there $57 for 100. They have a ton of options, they always have a sale running, great customization options, just fantastic!
@@TheCassieschick Downside with Ann's Bridal Bargains is they charge for printing addresses, but Costco does it for free! Also, Costco has some fancier styles for almost the same price! You can get 100 invites for $65.69 of really nice design.
I generally have nothing to add because I was married 152 years ago and things have changed so much, but one thing to keep in mind is that if you have multiple pieces (which I did) or a booklet type invite (which I loved), you might be looking at paying more postage. Perhaps that is such a small cost to most couples that it makes no difference, but we penny-pinched everywhere we could, so I worked hard to make sure my invitation was the beautiful one I wanted, but that the whole package did not weigh more than one stamp’s worth. Just some really small thing to think about!
very very true. you also pay more for an invitation that is bigger than letter size in Canada...not sure about elsewhere. I was only married 149 years ago. I think there are far less companies to choose from now and it seems like nobody has a catalogue. this is one of those instances where having a catalogue would make choosing so much easier. I would even be willing to pay for the catalogue.
I used Zola.com for everything! I was able to set up my website and order invitations, save the dates, programs, etc and they were all in the same theme of my website. I was also able to put all of my registries together with their registry so that my guests didn't have to go searching for them. And they had things to help plan and keep up with guest lists and events and rsvps and if I ever had a question about anything they responded within 24 hr! I can't say enough good things about them! I had a great experience and I loved the way all my paper goods that I ordered from them turned out!
I'd love a video going over what to put on invitations for when you're inviting people to just a reception. We got married in March and are postponing our reception, so I'm not sure what those invites will say!
like the wedding, it's the wording of the reception invites that tells your guests how formal the event is. But if you're inviting family members of different ages I would fall back on Martha Stewart who always gets the etiquette right. where I live, reception invites always started with "You are invited to a wedding reception for..." or. the names of the parents (if they are paying) invite you to a wedding reception for ...
So helpful! I found the artist on Zazzel (look up Jinaiji) that did the Oak Tree Invite and OH MY GOSH there’s so many good ones to choose from! If you need rustic there’s something for everybody just with the one artist if you are just going for looks
We got ours at Vista Print! I made a custom art design for our invitations, which ended up having a spelling error. It was totally our fault, but Vista prints let us redo our entire order free of charge with the edits! Their customer service was amazing, and we even got to keep all the old ones and their envelopes. I feel like we spent about $1.29 a piece on our custom wedding invitation. I would totally recommend them and they do have some less expensive options as well!
It's nice to hear a review of all these options. My family isn't big on saving invites so I was looking for a website to just print some inexpensive ones. I like that you can also print place cards, thank yous, etc. on these sites so they are all cohesive, but still will leave me plenty of budget for the DJ and open bar.
We did our invites on Basic Invite and I LOVED them! The paper quality is so good (not squeaky photo paper) and it was so easy to customize. Also they sent us extra envelopes since they knew we would mess up a few. I am so excited to use them again for things like Christmas cards
Got our Invitations and Save the Dates from Basic Invite! I'm absolutely in love. They are so so so customizable. They look great whether you go with a pre-made design or spend hours upon hours upon hours switching fonts and colors and envelope styles and moving around the text placement...trust me I know. I was impressed with the feel of their soft matte paper, the embossed foil that you can put pretty much where ever on the invitation, and how easy they were to design. You can also add on detail or direction cards, menus, signage and so much more. Plus they will host your wedding website for free (which you can also customize), manage your guest list (RSVPs and addresses) and preprint addresses on the envelopes. I wish I could show them off to all of you. That's how much I
Just order my save the dates on basic wedding invites! Really excited for them to arrive. I love how customizable they were - you could change of colors of anything on there! I also loved that you can get your addresses printed on the envelope so you don't have to use stickers.
Ann’s Bridal Bargains is where it’s at! I got 100 fully customized post card STDs for $57. There’s always a sale running, the customer service was great, I think the shipping was free (?) and also super fast! I love that site!

We got our save the dates, change the dates, & invites (buy now personalize later - really helped with postponing & not having our invites printed yet) from Minted! Turned out the website design we loved & wanted to use from Minted has a matching invite suite that we decided to go with (not because matching, but cacti). Absolutely adored the packaging some of the samples came in! Such good marketing, like you said. I designed our invites, but it wasn't really from scratch. I bought clip art from an artist on Etsy and looked on Pinterest and wedding invite websites for inspiration. It meant something to me to design them, even though I know not everyone keeps theirs, I know I will! And actually I was there when one of our friends opened hers and she loved it. She thought it was really thoughtful and felt very us. She asked if the colors were also going to be our theme and I said yes so she was psyched. 😂 I had a lot of time to do it because we'll have had a two year engagement by this summer, so I didn't feel rushed. We used Zazzle to print them and they came out really beautifully and super reasonably priced, so I don't regret the effort. So for anybody out there wishing to do the same--it's possible! 😁
I'm helping my daughter's friend with her invitations and we're probably going with Invitations by Dawn...which is where I got mine from many years ago.
