What are your thoughts about Demeo on the Apple Vision Pro?
Oh dear. Still maybe this signals a pure hand tracking quest version has been completed?
Maybe the lighting layers for apple vision pro mixed reality are not easy to develop for. Especially for the current market size of AVP owners.
Get a refund buddy… they went full laziness which is unbelievable on the AVP.. I’m thinking it’s going to be the best MR game u can play currently and they basically gave us some mediocre 🐂💩

Resolution games always seemed a bit shady with their cash grabs. Remember when they tried to put ads in Blaston?

The hardware struggles to do any better. Somehow Apple approved this garbage. I doubt it's your capture card, so I assume the framerate is relatively what we see on YT- what is that? Like 30-40FPS? It struggles to show a tiny 2D Window.

Such a bummer. I'm a big Demeo fan. Already have on my Quest and Steam VR. I was looking forward to playing on the AVP specifically for the visual upgrade. So until they fix that, I'll just stick with the PCVR version. Fingers crossed they update the visuals to meet those amazing screens in the AVP.
Quest 3 for the win.
Weird. It makes no sense that the AVP version would be worse than the Quest 3 version, yet here we are.
Unbelievable. Resolution Games has made a lazy work here. It doesn't make any sense since the bad propaganda they got could have been a lot of sales and good reviews instead JUST by using the same Quest 3 version with upgraded resolution. Low Resolution Games :D

Great video. Because the recorded image looks better than what you, we could not see how bad the resolution was. I’ll take your word for it. On a happier note, reviewers over in America must have received early copies of Marvels “What if” and immersive video “Parkour” out of France and they LOVE them! Did you get the opportunity to test either?
WOW, I remember being excited by the idea of Demeo on the AVP. Sadly, it looks like they kludged together a port of the app without taking into account the much higher resolution of the AVP… A bit like showing a 480 video on a HDTV screen. Truly disappointing.

if you want the best for games get a Quest 3, if you want the best for PCVR get a Pimax crystal lite
Commenters are speculating that this is a port of the Quest 2 version. That wouldn't make any sense. The AVP has a completely different architecture. The implication of running at low resolution is that it needs to for performance reasons. The game does not perform well on AVP, and they've chosen to run low resolution to keep the frame rate up rather than letting frame rate tank.

Yikes! Quest VR and Apple VR should be two different marketing strategies, and its sad to see Resolution games not realize this. It absolutely sounds like they simply ported the Quest 2 version to AVP and then just janked in the 2D version (ie. lazy port). Really baffling because AVP games should be Devs "best effort" versions...especially with a successful VR title like Demeo (very rare)..and not only that, they could get away with charging a premium in the Apple store for this title (where there are very few games, let alone an award winning VR game). A real headscratcher...
Why would an AVP port be a dev's "best effort" version? From a game dev's point of view, the AVP is a very expensive niche headset with a tiny portion of VR market share made by company that has little to no interest or traction in gaming. People don't and shouldn't buy the AVP for games.
From some other points of view, the AVP is a big deal. But I don't see why game developers should be motivated about this platform. It seems like high effort for low reward for them.
Interesting, why would it be their best effort, when there's such a small market.
What do you expect for 3500 dollars.

The thing that irks me the *most* about things being low res: It's literally just a setting.
If the hardware can do it, all they gotta do is hit a button and it's *much* higher resolution. Just like pc games the last 30+ years. Why TF can't they figure this out? How in the world can they put *that* much work into a game, and not even *try* a higher resolution to see if it plays/works fine?
Why would you try and sell a brand new car, yet refuse to even wash it so it looks nice? It makes no sense to me at all.
AVP isn't built for games, it has memory problems with high resolution textures.

@@jessekoepp3928 Bc the entire video is about AVP and literally EVERYONE is talking about the resolution...and your comment is about the shortfall...of course anyone reading your comment would think you're talking about the AVP...what you meant to say can be different but I'm with Jixal here. OF COURSE they tested the video at higher resolutions and based on how they built the game (or ported it), the framerate dropped...that's always the result with higher resolution for the last 30 years on all platforms. You said they didn't even 'try' a higher resolution...of course they did.

I bought this game for my Quest 3, and I still haven't opened the app. Never played it. 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ I just have way too many games and just not enough time to play em. The time I do have I try to use it wisely and be productive. One of these days, I will eventually open it up and try it out! 😉👌
Wonder if the poor resolution is for platform parity with Quest 2 since the hand tracking input is being carried over there too. Might explain the laziness, if Vision Pro could be essentially be emulating the Quest 2 version with tweaks for hand tracking. Just my wild speculation.

I am really hoping that you missed some setting for pass through...as well as a bad connection for the subpar resolution. I thought for sure it would look great. I was actually gonna buy that tonight. Not unless I hear a better performance.
