When you make a planter concrete wait for your umbrella holder, use some PVC pipe for the centre where you stick your umbrella down into it so you can pull it out and put it away in the shed whenever you need to and the plant is still there and you can put plates on it and stuff like that. Kind of like what we did with the deck at your house you’re at now that you’re leaving if that makes sense😃

I am so excited for yall! We just went by our build yesterday, they finally got the framing and the roof boarding up, so we walked through with the kids and wrote our initials and things on the boarding in random places! The boys will remember that forever, it was fun to see them light up with excitement! And they are talking us into a pool, our backyard is HUGE, so we may be doing that soon after we move in! Watching you guys these past few months has kept my anxiety down a bit, bc we started clearing our lot in early Feb, and JUST now got framing last week, it's been a looong process so far and a headache at times. I'm hoping we can close in September, bc if it falls into October, we may not be here to sign paperwork, we go on a cruise Oct 9....😆. Our original deadline was June/July...🙃 So I was going to be moving alongside yall, darn't. 😂 I am keeping the faith, my favorite quote has been so true on so many occasions in my life, I am hoping this one is no different. "When it is meant to be, everything will fall into place". 🥰 Again, so very happy for you guys, the house is beautiful, can't wait to see how you decorate it!

I am watching the video about the tile & floor barrier mistakes your builder made. I am glad you pointed them out. Hopefully people in your area won't use that builder. When we bought our house I was lucky that my brother had an enclosed car trailer so every night I would pack boxes and then the next morning my husband would load them into the trailer. Then on moving day I had friends stationed!! Once set met us out the old place to get the big things (beds, etc). And one set at the house. I had given that sat pizza money so when we all got there we had pizza ready to go then the unloading party started!!!!
I’m so jealous of the extra building but I think it’s crazy you guys went with black for the exterior in Oklahoma. Interested to see how it affects the electric/gas costs to keep it cool. It would be nice to have so much time to move though. Smart to do it in chunks since you have the opportunity.
Your new home is going to be beautiful! You mentioned several things you had that you plan to replace with newer items to “ refresh “ . I remember pool rings and grilling utensils. I hope that you donate the older items rather than throw them away. Plastic items take an especially long time to break down. I hate to see so many people throwing stuff away that ends up in a landfill. True, God will give us a new planet in the end but until then the result of all the waste on the environment and to the animals is heartbreaking. There are enough poor people who would gladly reuse some of your stuff. You probably do recycle discarded items because you seem conscientious and responsible. It’s wonderful that you take the time to make sure the house you are moving from is nice for the next owners. I imagine that they are grateful for that. We realize just how much stuff we accumulate when it’s time to move, even when it doesn’t seem we have so much. God bless your family and I hope you are all very happy in your beautiful new home!
