- This is the fifth video in a series showing how to upgrade the DaVinci 1.0A hot end to an E3D v6.
Phase 5 is the big one, that's right we are finally going to fit the E3D v6 hot end to the carriage. Exciting stuff.
You'll need the following
A drill
3.5mm drill bit
Small saw for cutting plastic
T10 and T15 Torx driver
Wire cutters
Cable ties
There's probably other things I'll mention in the video
Feel free to ask any questions in the comments. Enjoy :)
You are Great ! Thanks for doing this !

can i do this to the 2.0 duo? it look s great and the reason i really want it is to do the ninjaflex. right so the thing about that is if it has to be really hot to print then are the printed parts you made going to hold up wont they melt? id like to see a update on that please! your great man sharing so much. and you didn't even swear lol. show a print of maybe a rubber track for a tank and see how hot that area is with the printed orange parts.
I broke the board that the thermistor and the fan plug in to. I can't find a replacement! Do u know where I can get one???
are you using a stock motor to push the filament or do you know of an aftermarket one that would work, also the wiring pairs?
thanks hope someone can help XYZ not helpfull at all was told buy a new one

thanks for answer, i heard it would be possible to change the supply to 24v but i have not idea how to. i think it would work better if it is easly possible to implement 24v suplier current.
I fucked up at this step and installed the hotend way too low, brute forced it into place, now I think I broke my everything on the printer, word of warning to be very careful on this step lol
would you know what types of pullys/gears are used to pull the plastic, im in a situation where my printer keeps making a clicking sound and i think it could be those gears... i may need to buy replacements...
Hi, Clicking from the extruder usually means it motor is "skipping steps" prob due to a filament jam. What material are you printing and what temp is the hot end?
Watch out the the fan is cheap and brittle, I found out the hard way when my finger crushed it while trying to tightened it down
hello, may i install E3d v6 24 volts or only 12 V?
essence 423 if you're using the 1.0 version, it only supports 12V, I don't know if you CAN install the 24V also though...
salut , j ai vue presque toute les videos , mon Soussi actuellement sur ma IAO 1.0 , ma buse d origine ne chauffe plus ! . A tu une ides . MERCI
Have you tried ninja flex yet?
well... it would seem that it does not fit.
