Hi everyone! Thanks for waiting! :) It has been a long 3 months since the last video. After 8 years of doing tutorials I really needed that break to reflect on my channel and overcome getting "burned out". I'm still taking it slow, and there is no fixed upload schedule yet, so I'm not sure how often there will be videos up. As you can see this is the first video to an updated PHP course, since that it the course most people are on my channel for. The existing "old" course on my channel is from quite a few years back, which means it has a few flaws and is just plain "bad" in terms of recording quality ':D So I'm excited about updating it to a quality level that won't need updating for many years. For my Patrons I just want to mention that the first 7 or so videos in this course, were recorded and edited long time ago. So the Patron supporters at the end of the first 7 videos doesn't match with my current supporters. But I will have you all included in the newer videos :) Thank you everyone! Stay safe.
Hello Daniel. Didn't see you for a long time. I can't understand, why you start from the beginning. You already have a procedural php course that is perfect and not "bad in terms of quality" like you wrote. Also, you have OOP php course which is also a perfect one. Maybe it is time for next step? Frameworks. Laravel especially. Thx. #StayHome #StaySafe
If you want to do gameplays and stuff, do it....It might not attract your current sub, but you might get some new subs. Do what makes you happy. Unless it will drastically affect your income...
Will you make a PHP episode on how to make Userpage profiles for users to customize their own profile and can also see their profile in user.php?uidUsers=username I am also having trouble with .htaccess I was able to make it into user/username but every link on it got confused and would do something like this users/username/index.php
Kan du lave en ny video med hvordan du forbinder en database med php og måske prøve at bruge HEIDISQL til det. Da det er meget nemt og bruge og har et flot layot ;) www.heidisql.com/download.php
I like that that you repeat your sentences sometimes and say it as if you were teaching a child cuz really that is where some of us are and some teachers tend to breeze over the simple stuff instead of explaining it, you da bomb!
You are an amazingly good teacher!!! I am studying IT at a school and sadly my teachers lack your teaching skills. Thank you for your videos, I've learned so so much, and hope to do so in the future also.
Thank you so much for your awesome tutorial videos. I am 44 this year, desperately to change my career from lost job to front end developer this year. Your patiently slow explanation of teaching is my savior.
you have the the most clear way to teach people things. you teach as slow as possible with a more understandable way of teaching. Thank you for that. even english is not my main language there are people who teach the same topics in my mother tangue but I prefer to learn things from you even the language is not my main language thanks for that. Keep it up man.
I have to chuckle here, because this brings back several fond memories of how I started out, oh so twenty odd years ago. JavaScript was my first programming language, soon followed by PHP. Today, however, I mostly work in either C# or CPP. The main benefit of PHP as I see it is that because it is so loose-typed then it's also a good place to learn how to 'think' in terms of code, rather than first having to learn a whole bunch of complicated rules. Those things can always be learned later on and does vary slight from language to language anyhow, with CPP undoubtedly being the strictest language of all.
Agrreed! The course I purchased for PHP (Beginners) (from one of your advertises no less!), wa touted as the most popular and had the highest-rated instructor, that I felt safe and challenged, simiultaneously. After getting into it , 225 of 340+ lessons, I have become so frustrated withthe instructor's errors, (not even intentional, for teaching debug techniques), that I am ready to hang his course up. From what I've seen of your style and thoroughness, I'm looking forward to your courses.
Hi @Dani Krossing .I'm student and just started learning php , I just want to thank you for this amazing content you have for everyone we really appreciate it , it is very helpful and easy to understand. All the way from SOUTH AFRICA , DURBAN
I’m glad you enjoy it 😊 in case you didn’t know, I have another much newer PHP course, which is updated and better than this old one. It should be linked below this video, and if not then you can find it on my channel.
I started a course for Full Stack Developer a month ago, and my teacher for PHP just explains syntax with a very simple example and expects us to use a for in a fully functioning function without having seen one worked out example :D Now I ended up here, got high hopes on your videos mate! Keep it up ;D
I learned to program about 6 years ago from your unity videos. I still remember how amazing it was to have those first games run. Since then I have learned more than 20 languages and even though I have drifted away from unity and game development, and more into node and backend web dev, game development will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you for making these awesome tutorials years later for new people to try and experience the same thing that I did.
Absolutely terrific - this is how this should be taught! Thank you for providing such a clear and well-considered presentation on php! Your style is fantastic!
I'm glad you like it. 🙂 I just wanna point out that this is a older course, and that I have a much better and improved "2023 PHP course" on my channel.
Thank you so much for all the tutorials, they helped me more than you could think and it feels like i owe you the world for all this. Really looking forward to all upcoming content and maybe stuff like user profile or email verification in php.
Thank you so much, Daniel, you helped me a lot, you improved my knowledge especially in PHP, HTML & CSS keep on uploading more videos and I wish you would not be discouraged and in the few I have I will try to see how I can give you support through Patreon because if it weren't for you I wouldn't be at the level I am in Web Dev.
Its good to see another production from you. I have gone through your other 2 PHP tutorials but I don't mind checking this one, there might be something to take. Thank you for the great work you do.
This is the piece I was missing! I just looked up PHP again because I have a new business plan I'm going to try out, and will be coding the website myself. I know HTML and CSS, which is how I'll code it. I also used to know Batch, have touched JavaScript, and know enough Python to piece together a poorly made, but functional, program. I had a friend help me get started on Python: like PHP, it had a barrier to entry where I couldn't figure out where to put the code and run it. I'm used to Dreanweaver, Notepad++, Notepad, and Brackets as a last resort. This gave me that explination, so thank you!
I am on a linux computer so I will use Samba, Sql, and Apache - - I had them on here before when I was setting-up my media server - -they ran perfectly. I'll use them again !!
I can't help myself but to noticed how learning a programming language is easier than learning the damn math at University ;D Two semester in a row math in a second attempt while I ace programming modules.
Thank you very much for the useful video course! About the server, you can also use WAMP Server for PHP and MySQL. In my opinion, it is more comfortable to use. Anyways, thank you again!
Super Helpful thanks!! I hoping to use WordPress, but a bit more programmatically, so i hope I'm in the right place to start my journey. i already know HTML and Swift (iOS) so should pick it up easy enough. Love your style!!
Hi, i just wanted te tell you that im trying to learn new language besides HTML5 and CSS for about 10 months or so. but in the progress i always get distracted. Since i found your Channel i’m finally learning JavaScript. They way you teach keeps me intrested for some reason. Thank you for al these video’s and i hope you will make manny more.
This is what I needed. I was literally about to start watching some PHP tutorials but didn't find any that I liked. Quick question, is it possible that you host a site like that on local machine and share a link to someone so he/she can check the website out?
Hi Dani, this intro was great! I am completely new to PHP although I am familiar with HTML. I was wondering if an existing site made with php by someone else can be accessed by me if I don't have the log in? If it was made on a server on their computer, I'm assuming it won't be so easy? Thanks again.
Who is this guy?? Holy moly what a confidence and skill.... Where is our Daniel 😂😂 You make me feel like watching the whole video even tho I know all this, I'm speechless very well explained (if only i had this tutorial when I did my first php server ..) well done bro 😉 Looks like you're back on the PHP train and this time you bought a ticket maybe a tiny bit slower if you still want to target the newcomers 😁
100% Job well done my brother at least i will be able now to create my own e-commerce website using php. just hoping that this is the full tutorial including databases, uploading files using php. otherwise the job was excellent done.
FAQs: 'localhost' in my browser redirects to another page 'localhost/dashboard/' and not the xampp start page. SOLUTION: Delete all the files in the 'htdocs' folder hope this might be helpful 🥰
Nice to see you again. The question about Xampp. In my experience Xampp is not working properly like a real Linux server regarding some links in URL. Why not to use global PHP or Virtual machine?
Thank you very much! have learnt a lot !Could you tell why after I deleted the whole file and tried to downloaded the local sever Apache again, it said that my disk is not empty and forbad it ? I have tried every disk and the consequences were the same.
hey when are you gonna upload ep.2? and how often you gonna update the course? i am really a fan of your tutorials for being comprehensive . God Bless!
8:01 Hi, I'm new to your channel and you're a big help to me as a beginner. I just have a question about deleting htdocs folder contents, I have different files and folders here such as dashboard, img, webalizer xampp, etc. Is it still safe to be deleted?
Hi everyone! Thanks for waiting! :)

this guy is wayyyy better than having a 3 hours class in college. Thanks man!
I like that that you repeat your sentences sometimes and say it as if you were teaching a child cuz really that is where some of us are and some teachers tend to breeze over the simple stuff instead of explaining it, you da bomb!
this is so true... my teacher doesn't explain anything... so i've been trying to supplement the coursework and this has been so helpful
i feel the same =) seem to be a great guy.
You are an amazingly good teacher!!! I am studying IT at a school and sadly my teachers lack your teaching skills. Thank you for your videos, I've learned so so much, and hope to do so in the future also.
truly, the clarity and the energy will keep you glued to his videos.
Thank you so much for your awesome tutorial videos. I am 44 this year, desperately to change my career from lost job to front end developer this year. Your patiently slow explanation of teaching is my savior.
such an underrated UA-cam. Amazing, I've watched like 5 videos on PHP now and this one is the only one that made sense
you have the the most clear way to teach people things. you teach as slow as possible with a more understandable way of teaching. We really missed you man, 3 months was tough
Quite a perfect headstart for beginners. The video setup and layout is quite self-explanatory which makes it the best I've come across so far.

Your video is far better than my teachers online discussion. Online class is so frustrating. Thanks for this, it helps a lot.

I have been trying to find a Xampp tutorial for school. Thankfully I stumbled onto this gem of a channel. Thank you

You explained it extremely clear. I hope you were my computer science professor
Good to see you started a new PHP tutorial since you're first one is really hard for me to understand. Thanks!
Its good to see another production from you. I have gone through your other 2 PHP tutorials but I don't mind checking this one, there might be something to take. Thank you for the great work you do.
