OUTSTANDING PLAY BY TAYLOR AND THE COVERAGE WAS ALSO OUTSTANDING ! THE D - LINE NEVER GAVE UP THEY CRANKED IT UP AND THAT WAS THE DIFFERENCE FROM LAST SEASON . LAST SEASON OUR TEAM LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE BEATING THEMSELVES ! MUCH IMPROVED D , AND O - LINE EVEN THOUGH CALEB COULDN'T GET GOING THERE FOR A CHICAGO MINUTE . KUDOS TO ALL THE BALLERS THAT MADE THIS WIN POSSIBLE . " BEAR DOWN " A FAN 4 LIFE !
Looking at these two plays Sweat faced a chip block AND a double team on the first play; Then a double team on the second play. Taylor and the D-line will need to continue to get pressure on the QB as Sweat continues to draw attention. GREAT performance by Taylor and looking forward to his best year in a Bears uniform. BEAR DOWN!
Hardy and Taylor were the unsung heroes of the game. I noticed neither got media coverage after the win. Owens just had to scoop the ball and jog it into the end zone. Hardy made that block. Darrell Taylor threw the Titans offense out of rhythm all day.
Taylor had a great game, and the matchup against Latham was perfect. Latham is a physical, nasty run blocker, and he's strong enough with adequate technique to do well against power pass rushers. But he's going to struggle in pass pro against pure speed guys like D.T. who can really hit that edge and bend to the QB.
So if you're an opposing offensive line coach just which line guy do you double team. Sweat Taylor or Dexter or Billings knowing that all 4 are going to be feasting on your quarterback plus we still can bring in Edwards as a blitzer.
Billings feasting on RBs that try to run in his space, not so much on QBs- and that's really all we need him for. They usually sub him out and slide Walker inside in passing situations, or maybe use Pickens a bit when he's healthy.
@@Hello4now That's typically true, but in this game Billings had multiple pressures on the QB. O-lines are going to have to pick their poison on who to double team if we continue to get amazing production from Taylor!
@@tylermd23 Very true, hoping he can keep this up, as it seems like being a 4-3 DE suits him a little better than a 3-4 OLB like he was in Seattle. And if Dexter can continue to improve, our D-line could be a much bigger strength than expected going into the season.
52 was a huge pickup for us g, our defense is so good. Can’t wait for the offense to click, it’s gonna happen, we are about to be dangerous all around
AGREED!!! GO BEARS 🐻
Absolutely. Really sucks that Odunze is gonna miss a few games though. I really wanted to see him perform
Thank you Tom for being part of one of the most underrated and undervalued Offensive lines ever. I truly appreciate all of you.
