Hey guys. I’ve chatted briefly with you on WhatsApp. In any case, I began traveling in Africa in 2010. At that time I was traveling quite a bit in East Africa. In any case, that was the first I saw the houses made from the mud bricks. This was in Uganda. They would did the foundation and pile up all the red dirt. The would then form the bricks and allow them to dry. Afterwards, they would carefully stack them like building a brick oven, and then light a fire within to bake them. The dirt from the foundation usually wasn’t enough to complete the entire house but it was a good start. Then they would buy additional mud bricks to complete the house. Some of them would plaster the house and paint it. You would never even know it was built with mud bricks after this process.
I’m in Ghana, it is not popular here. It’s actually very hard to find the rammed earth options. Ghana is a very traditional country so anything outside of the usual doesn’t catch on very easily. I love the idea but this is not something that A LOT of Ghanaians are using in home construction.
Really thank you so much for this feedback we appreciate you. If you have any info you wish to share about building or real estate in Ghana send an email here. queenjodiandap@gmail.com
A gentle word of advice , get a wipe board and write on it your key points of information. And make it large enough to see it from the chairs when recording, so there are factual references. Great idea and a very interesting subject .
I am not sure what your talking about as we did not make any reference or shared any information which us not facts! All that we shared is based on the video we watch and the info shared by the contract who is actually building the houses. We suggest that you click the link and watch the video for yourself from the description and compare 😉 Thanks for the advice tho, bless you.
Thanks for the consistent updates. I was trying to move to the Gambia, but after doing some research, I realized that the prices are TOO HIGH for everything.

Rammed earth building don't necessarily require machines. You do however must understand construction in order to do it correctly.

@alexyanga913 Ah, you are referring to the earth bricks. We are aware of a few people who make them.
