oooo I love a good art show, been to a few film ones, 30mm shots blown up onto a wall, there just gorgeous.
SUPER FRAME fast forward was the best
it was fun but for me it felt like such a departure from what the turtles represented and the themes they explored within this specific show, not to say it wasn't fun, it was just a massive detour from what was 'good stroytelling'.
This show is soo underrated, only the 90s TMNT & present TMNT shows are all that get talked about
IKR, People just overlook this one.

That's not been my experience. Everyone I encounter online and IRL know about this show.
Personally I find this show overrated.
Season 1-4 are pretty great overall with some weak moments.
But season 5-7 are terrible. But most of its fans turn a blind eye to the drop in quality.
It's really sad how TMNT 2003 has faded into obscurity like this.
Even sadder is that it never got a full weekday afternoon run despite having over 65 episodes.
After watching the biased horseshit that is the "Turtles Forever" movie, I say this show deserves to disappear into the abyss. And I say this as a fan of the '03 series.
By contrast, look at how _Batman: The Animated Series_ handled the campy '60s Batman show.
B:TAS made a tribute episode with Adam West voicing the Grey Ghost, an obvious homage to both Adam and his Batman; And it was an episode that was respectful and honorable. One of my favorites, in fact.
It didn't shit on its predecessor the way that Turtles Forever did.

The 2012 series is just crap in general.
In fact, ever since Peter Laird sold his TMNT to Nickelodeon, I've seen nothing but crap; especially the M.Bay movies.
As far as I'm concerned, the franchise is dead. All we have now is an undead abomination.
Best TMNT series by far. Though it went downhill a bit with the future and cyberspace gimmicks and simplified animation designs in the end.
Don’t forget the Ninja Tribunal. That season was boring as hell.
From season 1 to 4 the best and a bit of 5 but the rest mostlikely for got the tone it had in the past seasons it was not much of a fun
@@Megumi_BandicootEven though Tribunal shifts in tone alot and isnt as good. I still see it as the final season in my head cannon. I always skip Fast Forward and Back to The Sewer. But I accept Turtles Forever as a true final chapter

After so many seasons of darkness it was nice to see a lighthearted season that and I love the dark turtles
Also the theme is cheesy yet catchy
Honestly to me, the best version of the turtles is definitely this one, the 2003 version had so much that made it a very enjoyable watch
The overlooked (My Favorite) TMNT series. Unlike what most people think, It was NOT a remake of the 1987 cartoon but an adaptation of the Mirage comics.
Well, the closet thing we got an anime adaptation of original comic. Wish TMNT 2003 adapted some of issues like pre teen issue or driving arc chapter.
By far the best TMNT show we've had. Though I never liked the more simplistic animation designs of the later seasons.
I grew up on the late 80s version, I love the 2012 CGI version but the 2003 version clicked with me the most and was my favorite version of the cartoons. Someone told me it was very, very heavily influenced by the comics so that's probably a good indication of why I enjoyed it the most overall
This is how I got introduced to TMNT and I still love this incarnation to this day!

TMNT 2003 season 1-5 and the Turtles forever movie is something I revisit yearly and what I grew up on. That's the quintessential TMNT experience for me, together with the original live action movie of course

@@nyankrunex9654 I've always been a big fan of the dark and mature tone of the first 5 seasons, as well as the DCAU's Batman TAS and Justice League, Avatar and to some extent the 90s Spider-man cartoon.
It's proof that kids can understand adult themes and I think we've lost that in the last few years of entertainment.
Death, morally complex characters, villains with somewhat understandable motives, corruption... kids need to get exposed to that stuff since that's what real life looks like. Of course, nostalgia plays a big part as well and the new art style of Fast forward (and even more so Back to the sewer) which absolutely wasn't my cup of tea

@@wilhelmtheconquerer6214 Fast Forward was my favorite season tbh. Seeing Cody being April and Casey's legacy was so cool to me, not to mention the fact that they had a lot of dark undertones in it, such as the homicidal maniac that is Darius.
Imo this is peak turtles. However I will go and say 2012 exceeded expectations. I did not expect it to get that dark . I appreciate the 80s series but I prefer a darker tone is all
I liked how Shredder is like Krang in this show. You know, Ch'rell blending in as the fake Oroku Saki and the Shredder
I love this version of the turtles and Shredder especially, for me I prefer the darker tone of ninja turtles closer to the comics but I want another reboot catered towards teens and adults
The fact that it came from 4KIDS of all places really shows how awesome this cartoon is.

I miss the action cartoons of the 80s, 90s and 2000s. They're almost all dead now, instead nowadays we get carbon copies of the same comedy show (the new Thundercats is just repurposing plots from Teen Titans Go, and so on.)

clockstomper then we gotta support the next action series that comes out even if it/they suck ass.
Otherwise something good won't be given the chance it/they deserve.

This show should have the complete series on DVD. The first 5 seasons are great 6-7 are okay
This show was so good that despite last two seasons that were weaker, it still ended up being the best TMNT show.
This is what my mind automatically thinks of when I think of ninja turtles. I love this show.
The standout Leonardo moment for me has to be when he's standing on the roof in the pouring rain facing the Shredder, and breathing heavily because he had just been chased by the entire foot clan across half of Manhattan holding his sword in a ready position waiting for the Shredder to make his move.
The standout Raphael moment for me is when he helps the other team during a planet race lifting up their bike and helping them back on telling Falcon that winning without honour is not winning. Only to go and win honourably.
The standout Donatello moment for me is when the turtles and Splinter are on the shredders ship, that moment where he realises for the first time that the only way to stop the Shredder is to literally take their own lives as well. The moment he realises that he has to overload the star ship.
The standout Michelangelo moment for me is when he wins the rematch against claw in fair combat, with the amount of humiliation that he expresses as the Damiyo places the medal around his neck.
The standout group moment for me is when they see Master Splinter alive and well after they get back from space. In that moment it is so easy to see the love all four of them have for their father and how much he loves them in return.
The last season for this show was excellent and put a perfect cap on the series. Rarely do shows end this well imo

I FIND IT HARD TO WATCH AS IT GOES OUT OF IT WAY TO MAKE FUN OF THE 87 SERIES 2012 DID BUT ATLEAST THEY ALSO SENT SOME LOVE ITS WAY 2003 JUST TOOK A BIG POOP ON IT AND KEPT ON GOING
This is honestly the best TMNT ever made, and I love the orginal series, the first 2 movies, even tmnt the animated movie and 2012 Nicktoon turtles are good. But none are above this show. This shredder is the best also.
It still infuriates me that this 'Turtle' series is never shown in reruns anymore. Any of the 'Nick Toon' networks should work it into their schedule.

I think Raphael’s development stays for the most part. In the episode that is about his anger, he almost clobbers Mikey in the face with a pipe. After the episode, he never does something so extreme to his brothers again to my knowledge.
I had no idea about the Ninja Tribunal Season when I was younger. I remember at the end of season 4 when they arrived on an island and saw multiple people wearing the shredder's helmet and then faded to black as a cliff hanger. Then poof... fast forward airs... like wtf happened? Finally saw the ninja tribunal and I feel that should have been the end of the series. Felt fitting. Fast forward definitely lost me when I was younger... just didn't feel the same and was really hard for me to wake up on Saturday's to watch. I even tried to give it a second chance and man... it's just painful... don't want to say it's bad, it just wasn't for me and was not what I was expecting.
Transformers next? Doesn’t have to be the original cartoon, can be Transformers animated or Prime (both of which are great).
I have it on the list, will be in quite a bit though, I want to get through the rest of the DC superhero shows first :)

Also I love your analysis of Leo. Ppl complained about Leo become like Raphael I don't agree. I think they wanted to give Leo depth.
its an interesting argument but I think there missing a unique distinction between the two, theres a difference between being angry (raph) and angered (leo), raph's outburst have a rage to them, whilst leo's inhibitions, his actions and outbursts are driven by a complex.
The animation was sooo good, the action scenes are amazing and these are my favorite Turtles and are my brothers
Man I was born a month after this came out and growing up in the 2000s I was able to watch some of it I don’t remember a lot of old shows from a decade but I definitely remember this one and it’s one of my favorite number one would Spectacular Spider-Man. Plus I love how this version takes a lot inspiration from the comics
This show was really like the original comic book coming to life. Where the 80’s cartoon was just like the Archie comics.
I always felt that when the turtles were given an arc, the lesson would stick. But it wouldnt change the characters completely. Raph will still be the hothead, but he'd never let it get so far that he'd bash Mikey or anyone's skull in.
The 5 seasons were great and had good episodes, beyond that season 6 and 7 are not bad but not as good as the other seasons, but at least the series got a happy ending
This show was a favorite of mine growing up I took many lessons and notes form this show most of which makes up a few things I live by and I miss it very much 😢
These are the Turtles I grow up on, I like the 2012 series but the 2003 ones are the best.
I wish Nick would rerelease it on dvd (I know they have rights because I saw a two episode one with their name on it at Wal-Mart when Nicktoons was showing it) I

Such an underrated show. I can remember before moving to America this was the shit. There was even a card game where all the kids at my preschool collected the cards, and traded for glow in the dark, or foil ones.

Hey bro ever saw 2012 one I mean it had better character development and fight scenes which were not formulaic and also it was consistently good unlike this one and after that I would also say that 2012 one is kot perfect but so is 2003 which I think is more of the overrated one.

@@ultrascouter203 the first 2 seasons were consistently great. The barn arc was fine. The Space arc was enjoyable despite me just wanting to get back to the Shredder stuff the whole time. Season 5 is fine. It gets too much hate for being split into multiple arcs. I like it when a show has a episodic season so I didn’t mind. The last 2 seasons of TMNT 2003 were bad

By far the best TMNT show out there, it's a close adaptation of the comics. Fast Forward and Back to the Sewer suck though.

This is my favorite Turtles show and I really likes the orginal from the late 80s early 90s
i loved when the turtles were in the future, maybe it was just because i was very young and had never seen any media with 'the future' in it yet but i rewatched it all the time (never bought any toys).
I remember this reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2003 and I really do like the character's design and personalites a lot better than the other reboots from 2013 and 2018. It's a shame they never made a proper complete series onto DVD with all the season1,2,3,4,5,6 and 7 because that would keep the memories of the series alive with the next generation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles , I know they already made a few DVDs from 2003 which is disappointment sadly and I can only watch them on UA-cam as long as the episodes are still there😔.

You should definitely review the 2012 TMNT series. I think it does a good job exploring mature themes and character development from the '03 series while incorporating the creative creatures and imagery from the '80s series. It really handles dark storylines particularly in the later seasons. Definitely worth a watch.

I was born in 1991 so I grew up on the 80s/90s TMNT and this series. I was in 5th grade when this series came out so I remember it more so than the first series.

if you watch the toys that made us on tmnt they had had a sad background to tmnt were Eastman and laird were not best friends so don't say whose better because those series costs a friendship to break up 🥺
the only thing I would want from Nickelodeon at this point would be for the network to finally to get the rights for the rest of the show they don't (I don't exactly remember what company currently owns the last two seasons of the show but it's refusal to let Nickelodeon have the rights to those said seasons) own, and release a complete DVD/Blue ray series for the fans. Oh and the show is pretty good at it's best and was one bigger parts of the franchise that introduced me to the Turtles franchise!

My favorite episodes had to be the ones with the Superheroes like the Superman esk Silver Sentry or the Batman esk Nobody or even the Justice Force in general

I wish Nickelodeon would release a complete series box set for the 2003 series, and was the central focus of a few episodes and in season 4 don got mutated a 2nd time making the other turtles doing whatever it took to cure don
Man we need a complete collection release of this series trying to collect the volumes are expensive.
