Canadians would bring some common sense and civility to the merged countries. She has a good point about the merger economically. The two economies are already so intertwined it's practically a merger. I think it would energize the U.S. side and both economies would boom. Americans would love exploring the new territory. My mother was born in Saskatchewan, my father in Washington. I like both countries the way they are but geopolitical experts will tell you that a merged U.S. and Canada would be very very powerful.

Canada by its very founding was disgruntled with America...remember we were those traitors that broke away from the crown. We sacked each others capitals.. but now Canada is on the decline... Canadians are misguided in that this merger will benefit them more than use...the merger if it were to happen would be on our terms not theirs... why you ask? DEMOGRAPHICS. We don't need to merge with them but their aging population, limited defense, Russians encroaching in the Arctic, lack of mobile capital in a confederation provincial dominated government displaces the leverage in Americans favor. I don't see Canada going altogether if it does go but 1 Provence at a time. 1st Alberta.. then B.C. or Saskatchewan, then the rest will soon follow except Quebec... but pressures may even have this province to eventually join. But before a merger would even begin Canadians would have to give up their liberal egos first... like that would happen.

Would be strange and cause a lot of issues to unite whilly nilly at this point... lot of people would be upset about some of the changes so what's the point unless something bigger is going on in the world so it would be less of a deal in comparison.

Allow me to doubt about the revival. I mean, I really like seeing people learning French in Louisiana, but it is not very likely to happen. The French they spoke almost disappeared but a few old people and standard French is taught in schools, because there is no teachers. And I don't see any exemple of a nation/region who get back speaking it's language after completely loosing it following colonisation or assimilation. Many have tried or are trying (Brittany, Ireland, Scotland, countries across Africa .. ) few -none ?- have succeeded.
And yes ... But I don't see Americans speaking French nor Quebeckers living in a English only country.
And I don't think they want to be Americans. I guess you'd have to be American to want that for your country 😁
