I think I've given up on Mani and pedicures. I went with a friend while they got a gel coat. They didn't follow my Nails line at all and made their own. My Nails are round, but they decided to make them square and chopped my nails up

I was a nail tech for 30 years and this is the first video I've seen on UA-cam do a proper pedicure. Do you have any openings lol.
My little tip is to leave the base coat off and it's stops any chipping. Great job.

Amazing video! I have a question. Why are cuticles pushed back and removed? If someone's cuticles aren't pushed back, then why is there a need to push them back and remove them? I am asking because I don't know the reason. Please tell me :)

Good question!
Well, in reality, we do not 'remove' the cuticles. We apply a softener and push back the excess overgrown cuticles attached to the nails. When the cuticles are cut (and some inexperienced manicurists sometimes do) you will bleed.
We just remove this overgrown cuticles or we will be painting on top of it and it won't look very nice and this also help a faster growth of the nail.
With your cuticles properly trimmed you won't get any infection on your nails.
