'Luck is where opportunity meets preparation' rings more true the older you get The preparation might be being able to focus on the upside (not down) banking some karma, getting to know the right people, having the necessary education/experience when the time comes (hence right place at the right time)
I remember this one New Years eve it was like 2020-2021? Idk but anyways, we went to a party (me, my mom and stepdad). He drank too much, they had an argument while drivin back home, he dropped us off on some dirt road next to some farm fields and it was dark, one of her friends and her husband drove to come pick us up next to a road nearby where there was light. Later that night we found out he had gotten in a car accident, he was badly wounded but survived as for the passenger seat next to him, a tree or pole or smt went straight through and if my mom was in there she wouldve been gone.. I havent thought of this for months, years even but thank you God for saving her life!
I believe that luck can be real depending on some circumstances or some hopes. I remember this one time at college during Halloween (think it was 2021) I wore a cheap mask and a hoodie, not even a full costume. Thinking to myself “Imagine if I won this contest” and at that very moment I heard my name being called and I won a gift card or something. Was there some impression made upon my ‘costume’? Probably, but I may have jinxed myself good to win unintentional. I also think luck is sometimes trivial when it comes to playing video games and RNG. It can be frustrating not getting a kill or saving a match, but it takes skill to achieve something.
@ClassicHaloCommentary i may not be the strongest, or most charismatic and i can't see very well (perception) but boy howdy i seem to have good luck when it counts
I agree on both ends. It seems like sometimes luck it the only thing that keep you from getting your ticket punched. I am an avid caver and one trip I did around 6 years ago, we chose to do the main stream passage instead of doing this side crawl passage called The Lobster Crawl. A freak rainstorm happened on the surface (It was supposed to be clear all day) and the only way we knew about it was the water level on the way back had gone up like over two feet. We had to fight the current to get back the entrance, it was scary. If we had all elected to do The Lobster Crawl that day, all 12 of use would have drowned. I still have the GoPro footage and think about it.
Ironically I think I'm extremely lucky to find this video and be able to listen to it. Its out of sheer luck that your most recent video about college was recommended to me and I decided to look further. However, I also feel lucky enough to be alive in this world. I was a very high risk baby and despite that my mother worked hard to take good care of me and my brother. I was also born completely deaf, but I was gifted the ability to hear through a Cochlear implant and so all that alone is extremely lucky and I never forget it.
My wife used to tell me my luck would change if I had a better attitude. Then she went on to live with me a few more years and understood. Like how I ate an entire bag of carrots from Target the other day, which I never do, and the very next day on the news carrots are recalled for ecoli

That’s a solid example.
Always an interesting
discussion man.
Keep this sort of content coming!
Will do 💪🏻
I believe luck happens, but only the odds make it seem like one has it
That could be true.
To some degree i believe luck is real, alot of it is perception too. But if luck is anything like the fallout special stats my luck is maxed to 10
That’s the best stat to have maxed lol

Those types of stories always makes me think luck is real
