My Kasatha Solarian is by far my best decision in all of my PnP chars. It is just so much fun playing around with the cultural habits and make people wonder what might come next. Definitly a good choice IMO btw, you earned yourself a subscriber :)
thanks for your guide bro. Hope one days pathfinder paizo make a équivalente of solarian class for pathfinder class or futur product planar adventure. A kind of monk but équivalent spell power for this kind of class from planar adventure.
I am a Kasatha Envoy, and I am loving exploring this character. I do wish I would have went with a Soldier or a Solarian just for increased combat stats.
I'm sure we'll be seeing more of the old home world of Kasath in the future. The planet should still be there and the decendents of those who stayed behind might be hanging on still. Or maybe some big nasty like the Swarm came along and finished them off early.
I'm doing as much research as possible, because I want to DM a game of Starfinder. Man oh man, there is a lot to know! (I've never DMed ANYTHING before.)
The Kasatha was actually the race that sold me on the game. My players had issues deciding who was gonna be captain, since the Android doesn't trust the Human, and the Shirren doesn't want to be captain. So I decided to make a "Captain" that's a Kasatha Outlaw Soldier. Love helping my players with things, and "playing" a Kasatha is proving very rewarding!
Great summary! I'm curious if stats are as important in SF as they are in 3.5/PF. How difficult is it to play against type because the idea of a four armed mechanic is appealing.
Your Key Ability Score effects your number of resolve points. Sometimes abilities need resolve points to activate OR just increase their effectiveness. So your example will reduce your resolve points by at least one. But attacking, it'll have no effect on. Bottom line, it matters, but no so much that it would prevent you from making an effective character.
I played a Kasatha in pathfinder a few years ago, I was a pretty powerful ranger with a bow, shield, and two handed sword. They're by no means a brand new race... Though they looked a little different than the ones shown in starfinder if I'm remembering correctly
Had a lot of fun as a Kasatha Picaroon in Pathfinder. As for the difference in look, I'm assuming it's because of the implied time jump between Pathfinder and Starfinder.
I think a four weapon melee/ranged soldier will be a lot of fun with a Kasatha. I think I'm going to give that one a try. Looking forward to getting the rulebook tomorrow so I can get a sense of the available feats for a character like this. Not dual-wielding but... quad-wielding?
How do you take full advantage of the four arm abilities? I’s extra weapons at the ready the way to go? Or is having utility items more useful? I’m making a Kasath soldier with the mercenary background, and I’d like to know what works better in combat.
One of the main character ideas I've been toying with is a kasathan bounty hunter operative, whose specialty is cornering his marks in public areas while pretending to be a drunken idiot (which the low int score helps with) and then following up with a mixture of melee and ranged combat as the situation requires, with a different weapon at the ready for each possible situation, and being able to stick up four people at once.
I don't care if I'm 4 years late, I'm still coming in hot to defend the idea of the Kasatha Operative built to be a Gunslinger bounty hunter because it's a damn cool aesthetic
I really hate to say this and point it out, BUT, the Kasatha strongly resemble the Moreerian from the Star Wars Universe. I do hope Piazo is aware of this or somebody could get sued.

Kasatha...Chef. Think about it, 4 arms, that is 4 utensils you can hold. Got to love the oddball characters, eh?
Cheers for the video!
my first thought is Elzar from Futurama
Dexter Jettster from attack of the clones

Someone is a Matt Colville fan?
*Pssst* I also enjoy his content.
Thank you for doing this
Became a fan of Starfinder first, then I found you. Thanks for your help in making my campaign easier to create.
Very informative videos. I find myself watching the clock for your Starfinder coverage! Keep up the great work!
Love these shows. Helped me decide to try Starfinder out. Just waiting for my copy to arrive and then I'm going to run a game.

This is cool to see because I play a kasatha in pathfinder

I am loving these videos. Will you do some vids on Monsters like Space Goblins?
BTW,where can I get more about Starfinder's Lore?

Told all my friends to subscribe, because we are plotting to start a Starfinder game in the future!
That's so awesome, thank you!

It really look awesome, I hope you will show us some gameplay.
I begin playing my Kasatha Mechanic, Friday....
dang... can carry a sword in one hand, rifle with two, and a pistol as a back up in the other... I like it!
amazing men just amazing, thank you very much
When a race gets multiple limbs like this I tend to give them a 2nd attack for free. The Kasatha culture sounds great for some Clan War action.
do a vid for the Verthani
Can they dual wield 2H?
As part of your release schedule you might want to include a basic 'how to play' for those that have never played an rpg or piazza rpg
Thanks for doing these. Don't let some of the people on Reddit dissuade you from posting your videos there !
Desert stride isn't that powerful. It only activates in desert, hill, and mountain terrain.
Just got an idea for a kasathan mind breaker mystic just hit me
I really hate to say this and point it out, BUT, the Kasatha strongly resemble the Moreerian from the Star Wars Universe. I do hope Piazo is aware of this or somebody could get sued.
They're also very much "Totally not Thri-Kreen" in pathfinder.
Did I hear the best race ever?
=D
Seems like these videos are buggy

I'm sensing a pattern here Joshua... lol
Taking20 Predictability is 99% of dependability.
The race videos are about the right length, but the class videos are two long.
Too*
Classes have 4 or 5 times more features/details to talk about.
