I read reasonably fast, but I still cannot fathom getting through 11 books in a month! I made it through 5 (I also read the Unmaking of June Farrow) and Oct was one of my better months. Bravo to you!

Finished one dark window! It’s pretty good and this is coming from someone who is so picky with books. There are aspects where I thought couldve been done better, but overall I enjoyed it. The pacing was relatively fast and consistent. My favorite part was the cliffhanger. Despite my criticism for this book, the cliffhanger was what encouraged me to read the second one. I’m so happy that it’s a 2 book series. My attention span is very short and lengthy books and series often bore me over time.

Oh I love TJR! Definitely try out Babel - the fantasy aspect of it I feel it minor, since it’s set in real world and the magic is presented more like a scientific invention plus linguistics. Definitely a good read!

I think it’s so important what you said about loving a book because of the season you were in (Christmas) but then not connecting with another one by the same author. The timing is not always right and that’s okay! Maybe it’s not the right season for you, but it might be absolutely perfect timing for someone else. ☺️ loved this video btw! I am listening to the audiobook for Like a Mother by Angela Garbes as my husband and I have begun trying to have a baby. This book was recommended by parents. I don't care about the narrator, but the book is interesting. I'm not too far in and have learned so much I've never known about what happens when someone gets pregnant.
