Naturally, the next step is to make Archon Loaf. A terrible bread loaf sometimes made with fish that is nutritionally complete, but presumably culinarily lacking.
Archon Loaf does exist irl, it's called Nutriloaf and was developed to be eaten by high-security prisoners who were deemed unfit to use any type of cutlery. Like archon loaf, it is miserable to eat but nominally has the necessary nutrients needed for human survival. Legally, it only barely being avoided being labeled as "cruel and unusual punishment" in the United States.
@@hambor12 It's banned outright by the prison systems in California, Massachusetts, Minnesota and New York. Yes, it's so bad that certain states legally cannot feed it to inmates.
I can't believe you didn't go to the local rabbit hole and ask the lopporits living there for the alien onion, worked well for me when I tried crafting this one. But seeing Graha eating a burger brings me immense joy and I hope we can see him enjoying a Taco in Dawntrail.
@@Greco4915 You can make a ridiculous amount of recipes which are analogous to real food in XIV. In fact, food items are among the most sought after purchases by RPers and raiders alike, so you can in theory make an excellent amount of gil being a full-time in game chef.

There's a lovely Twitch Streamer/UA-camr ARecipeReborn who has done a fair few FFXIV recipes, everything from Sohm Al Tarts to the infamous Meol, and it's amazing to see FFXIV recipes get a bit more attention! I've seen a few comments now suggesting the Archon Loaf, and I entirely agree, as less than palatable as the loaf is meant to be. As an avid FFXIV player, I'm stoked to see it represented in Arcade with Alvin.

Great episode! Alien onions aren't actually onions, but a crop found only in the remote space cluster of asteroids known as "Ultima Thule" which vaguely resemble them. Shallots probably would have been a better match, but the result looks delicious regardless.
Of course it was too little for the stand mixer. The in-game recipe makes three burgers at a time, after all! Also, a 2 hour queue? Must've tried to solo queue for the middle levels of Heaven on High.
I used to play FF14 back in the day. One of my favorite things about it is the community that plays it. People are always helpful and kind, it's not a toxic place like GTA online. The people are like polar opposites. The game makes me have hope for the way people treat one another.

i actually dont think this one came from a fully created recipe; rather, i think he's referring to the in-game definitely-not-a-real-life-usable-recipe "recipe" as a reference for an Actually Usable Recipe he developed himself and/or from a mishmash of other recipes

For the record: Ovoibos look to be overlarge sheep, so, you probably want a different cheese than cheddar.
"Ovine" is binomial nomenclature for sheep. So yes, a sheep's milk cheese is what you want.

You're missing the pickles. Also, Archons are just the equivalent of doctorate holders in Eorzea. Y'shtola and Thancred are both archons iirc.
