- NEW CFA STORE creekfishingad... Went down to the hill country in south Texas to kayak some of the most beautiful clear water flowing over and through the rocky ground. This was an adventure to get are kayaks through dried up water beds to get to the pools of water with huge bass could be anywhere.
I used the the 4'' yum dinger on a 2/0 hook with a medium mach 2 lews spinning combo. the line was 12 lb braid and a 15 lb flouro leader.

Gotta love those clear Texas hill country creeks!!! We used to hunt in Comfort, TX(Before prices got ridiculous), and half of the time I went up there was just to catch some dinger bass! Occasionally a 2-3 pounder, but just ultra fun, beautiful scenery and God's beautiful country! Can't beat it!
My wife's family has land in comfort, right along the guadalupe! Great fishing!

Your work / fishing ethic is a 9.5 out of 10 imo, and this nugget is far more important than many others who appear to never fail and catch near state records every other cast. ;) Good on You and keep doing exactly what you're doing. And IF you ever cross through SE Arkansas I'd take a day off to show you at least 2 scenic fishing hotspots.

Just a friendly suggestion, try attaching a quick anchor pole to your kayak (either store bought or homemade) to stay in position on those breezy days. It's always fun fishing in natures clear aquariums!

I used to live in Odessa and would regularly drive 3-4 hours for secret honey holes of clear water and tight lines. Now I love 30 minutes from the Gulf and never go. However I have a lots of creeks around me and you’ve inspired me to check them out.
I live in Lubbock. Blessed to have some spots here but not as many as there are down state.

I lived in Austin for 20 years.....man...I hit all those limestone bottomed creeks. Ultralight fishing at its finest. The creeks were beautiful after a wintertime flood. Oh.....its....Onion Creek in far South Austin. Criss crosses all through the countryside. Lots of places to get in.
Glad you tried some more YUM products, they aren’t the most durable but definitely last at a good price. And they work as well!

What an awesome place to fish. Crazy when you fish water that is that clear for the first time, spots look a couple feet deep' but are actually 7'+.
Kind of a weird stream too...looks like long deep pools connected by narrow braids w/ very little flowing water.
Thanks for the video! I love YUM lures! Their craw lures are awesome, and I just started using the same lure for wacky rig you used in this video last year, and caught TONS of bass even in the heat of summer!
