One of many good times on Big Island visiting Chet and Denise Ciccarelli. Benny and Barb. Brought wonderful memories back to Benny and his first time snorkeling.
i so wish I had gone to Hawaii when it was like this before the coral was killed off in the 2014-15 in the hot water event. appreciate this video showing us how beautiful it really was
??? the entire video is coral, though mainly mounding coral porities lobata. butr yes there is a bunch of beautiful cauliflower coral Pocillopora meandrina. the latter were wiped out in Kona in '14 and '15 during that 4 year period that destroyed most of the coral in the Pacific islands. and some people still don't believe in global warming
This is scary how extensive the coral bleaching is. If the mass coral bleaching periods are far enough from each other, there is a chance this reef could recover.
TheDudeAbides I never made that comment. This has been happening to me. Have you ever had that happen? The posting above my supposed comment is not something that I would consider either inaccurate or worthy of a sniping comment.
@@gohdux No it hasn't happened to me, unless maybe I was drunk and didn't remember or a toddler got hold of my phone. Interesting and strange though. Lot of weird stuff online. I was genuinely interested in whether the coral is really bleached or not, sorry. Good luck.
Thanks for sharing underwater colourful video, really great congratulations 👌
