Old vid however at 3:55 the boot for the extension connection the boot coupler to the Saniflow was installed incorrectly, the smaller opening connects to the Saniflow tank and you would use a zip tie to secure it. The larger end of the boot coupler goes toward the tank extension and is secured by a clamp.
@@rhondawalker6732 You can come over and check mine out, and even use it. LOL it is the only reason why I know that piece was installed incorrectly. I am really anal about things.
I’m just curious. Can I use this even if my sewer line is down my basement? Where will I connect the pipe from saniflo before the stack or after? I know that saniflo is upflush. Can it flush downward?
Yes and no. Sorry, but I would recommend you check with your local plumbing authorities before you go about installing the Upflush toilet. This type of toilet is not approved everywhere. I would also recommend getting professional advice from a plumber. These videos are more for people that have a better understanding of plumbing codes and presses of plumbing. Thank you for your interest.
What is the correct direction to put on the rubber coupler that connects the macerator to the toilet? In the video it’s on with the rings going from larger to smaller from the macerator and a couple of seconds later it’s on with the rings going from smaller to larger from the macerator. Thank you.
Thank you! I'm adding a SaniBest Pro a new bathroom in the basement. It will be flushing upwards into a 3" line running along the underside of the upstairs floor. That line goes through a block wall, so I could not tap into it down low for a normal toilet. The floor has a 2" drain that I will use for the sinks and bathtub/shower. There may be a bigger pipe under it, but I have no intention of cutting the concrete to find out. My luck... I'd do that and there wouldn't be a bigger pipe. Therefore, Saniflo Upflush toilet to the rescue! I will not be adding any other fixture to this pump. This is a Jack-and-Jill bathroom serving two new bedrooms that I added to the basement for my granddaughters. Saniflo says this toilet will chop up anything. I'm sure my girls will test that feature (I have no intention of telling them about it).
Thank you for your extensive coverage on this subject. I'm surprised about the small amount of water that remains in the bowl after the flush...is it even a liter? Can you address this issue? Just actually got mine completed yesterday. Building an entire bathroom in basement...also have septic system. Thanks for whatever you can share on this.
I understand. 1. to some plumbers it's a mind set not something they cant wrap there head around. I know it use to be my mind set it's not the norm what would this is to easy can't be right. 2. The plumbing code and plumbing industry have not except this type of plumbing for a toilet and it may not pass code in your area. 3. The so call real plumber who can't get over themselfs and don't think outside the box. Me I'm a lic plumber and I have been lic for over 30 years. Lic in 3 states. My personal opinion this is awesome and we as plumbers have to realize times are changing and we should to.
@how to plumbing , what saniflo toilet do you have in this video, and how much is it? Also, do all the parts come with it yo instsll the discharge line, except the 45's, and pipe?

I wondered about that Zip tie Part also. And I really wanted to see the finished Project, or at least show the toilet flush!😔

I am following these 10 videos to install a Sanipro system for a half bathroom in my basement. Very helpful, thank you!
Nice. I appreciate your comment and support. 🙏
What would happen if you installed a regular toilet to an up flush system, would it still work?
Sorry, but nope. Upflush comes out the back, and a regular one comes out the bottom.
If the drain line from the shower is not on a slope, will the water from the pump back up into the shower.

If you put a shower, vanity, and upflush toilet in do you have to install a vent pipe or hook all 3 into one vent pipe?
All three to same vent 👍
@@theartofplumbing thanks

Yes it's worth it. The one in this video is going strong no problems. I love it. Add value to my home. Easy 1/2 bath install.
@@theartofplumbingthanks.... How long does this unit last I heard 10-15 years before it has to be replaced....I don't like that
I understand. Me I love novelty installing it were you can't install conventional toilets.
Nice video. Just what I was looking for.
Awesome.

The answer is the smaller rings(end)goes to the macerator, larger rings(end) goes to the toilet bowl.
