All sound nice to me, but Arturia is winner. Softube and ME80 also very close. But for price and quality winner is ME80. I have all VSTi and efx. Tested original project for Cubase.
Just after posting this video, I learned that XILS Lab have announced their own CS80 comparison. Once it gets released, I will extend this video with it. Here's the XILS Lab announcement: ua-cam.com/video/I6ezsRaISCM/v-deo.html
Sound wise, I like the Me-80 and Model 77. Me-80 is better bang for buck, but yeah the filter tracking isn't the best. But for 40$, it's a steal and sounds really good. Haven't used the Arturia one but the issue I have with their products is the CPU usage
Whats your opinion on the new Softube? I thought Arturias version is really great. Ive done the Vangelis on it and its almost there. The margins are getting small. I love Xils company and have to think they willbe the best yet.
Softube is close to Arturia as a sound, but not exactly there, and also the interface is reworked in a way it makes it harder to compare it with the others, so that put me off and I decided to not buy it for now. That's sad and unexpected at the same time, since their other emulations, which I have, sound and look really impressive. As for XILS Lab, I am eager to test their clone too, because their other synths are really great.
Doesnt sound very CS80 to me... closest was the DM12 with 2 pole.... the rest sound like accordions.... im sure even the DDRM is light in the hpf res area..... needs a polyAT controller to breathe life
For me Arturia one sounds most convincing (maybe because it was the reference) and exactly the Deepmind has a little accordionish sound with ME80 even more towards an accordion. What do you mean by "DDRM"?
@@kristianborisov5928 What is unfair ? why the comparison between say the Cherry Audio and the Arturia unfair? Sp why even bother to make a comparison if you think right off the bat, that Arturia s one is superior. You wrote that on the video, not me....
You can download the comparison Cubase 13 project from this link and tweak further, if you think you could achieve better results (Deepmind patch not included in the project): drive.google.com/file/d/1djRXd-gmxs40-f8fR3ungioWYWthj7P_/view?usp=drive_link
