Oh man, all three of these have my whole heart!!
Simply amazing lists! Would love to see these in a pod!
I'm glad to see descent into Avernus getting some love. I love it so much and it really does help speed up the game.
I've been wanting to build a Yurlok deck for a while, and this one is a winner for me. Thanks a bunch to LittleWingVon for sharing!
That Yurlok deck seems similar to my Thantis deck. It’s a very fun time
I wish modular worked with Sunfall as well as Phyrexian Rebirth. Still crazy synergy there
Man, that yarlok deck looks sweet, I'm sorely tempted
the biron one seems really awesome, especially for it's monetary cost.
That hotline fling is brilliant both in name and seems the most unique in construction as well
Slap 'em with quick wins ;)
Barbarian is such a good flavour. Oldskool MtG
I really like all of these submissions, but I will say I think only the Yurlok deck stuck to the prompt. The Brion deck is likely to gain quite a bit of life from the lifelink on the commander making it be around for a long time. Karlach is just a typal deck. Sure it's not a heavily supported type so a lot of the creatures aren't the powerhouses you see in the more popular types, but nothing about that shouts "live fast, die young" in my opinion.
If I were to build one of these it would definitely be Brion, but I voted for Yurlok.
I was at that game where the Big Unit wiped out a bird. It was intense
Thats crazy. I bet the crowd went silent
What’s the method for picking finalists? Do you two just look through each and decide what looks to be the coolest? Does writing a primer for the deck help your chances? I love the series, just curious on the selection process before we get to this voting stage.
Surprised that the Modular deck doesn't have The Ozolith. Adding up the counters even faster.
Probably words "budget deck" explain this phenomenon.
They're highlighting cards that don't get a ton of play
I feel like Karlach likes to go hard and fast in general. I have a Karlach/Raised by Giants Gruulphug deck that focuses on mana doublers and group draw cards like Howling Mine. It leads to fast games with big, splashy moves.
I absolutely love all of these texts but I'm definitely voting for bar bar bar bar bar bar bar bar bar bar bar bar bar because I, too do not speak Greek.
Mana Burn on a Commander feels like the perfect place in the game for it. Easy access, dies to Doom Blade, etc lol
I’m convinced valduc battlehorns is getting better every time they put menace on another new card. I have it in an equipment deck with roghrak and am trying it in esper urza to give constructs trample and make sure they can get damage through
I feel like Jeremy Noell is here for these decklist submissions.
All will be one for the modular deck
I don't understand what link to use to vote

Sorry if this sounds rude, but about Yurlok, In my experience symmetrical mana doublers are the biggest trap you could play in that deck because that usually ends up in one of the opponents winning the game during the same turn rotation. You want people to get more mana but in smaller doses and at moments you decide and not whenever they want.
I think I'm gonna submit my Yurlok specifycally to challenge that deck next month Dx
Same - i went through 3 different Yurlok lists. One was full on manaburn, and my opponents used my mana effects much better than me. Then i went full punisher effects, to limit their mana efficiency with Citadel of Pain, Powersurge etc etc, and it was okayish
I've now settled on a group slug with big X spells as the finisher, utilizing Yurlok as my big mana dork - it's working slightly better, especially because Yurlok is often a mana dork that deals 7-9 damage a turn with the manaburn just from his ability. It has a lot of cards in common with this list, just heavier on the punishers and with all the big mana gifts removed!
From a quick review I had the same thoughts for Yurkok… very rock, paper, scissors feeling to it, where it depends on what your opponents can do with the mana.
For Karlach, it looks very slow as there are a lot of 3 and 4 CMC (or more) barbarians which means you are likely casting only one a turn until you have 6+ mana (there are a few 2s) but that curve is a tower and the deck has almost no removal (unless you board wipe which it has a few, but you better pray no one removes that Haunted One).
The Brion deck looks far too heavily reliant on the Commander with not much to protect it. Just target that Commander and the deck looks like it will be spinning its wheels. I’m guessing it is played where you setup your board and then play the Commander only as a wincon with haste, once you can one shot players by flinging creatures but a couple counter spells and I don’t know what that deck would do about it.
I think I would have the most fun playing the Yurlok deck overall.
Well the theme was “here for a GOOD time, not a long time” and they said one of the deck’s goals was to see people do crazy things. It seems fun to me, and definitely will accelerate the game!
