I am born Chennaite living overseas,after listening to this song i felt I was back in my lovely city for few minutes.. Love this song and the camera work..

Having lived in Chennai for 32 years and then having spent 23 years across various cities in India I can say that no city comes anywhere close to Madras in terms of work culture and lifestyle. Happy 375th birthday to the city we all love.
i am chennaitte, but living in australia for 3 months, i used see many time this song when i was chennai. But today i felt missing my home town so came to utube to see this video. i was working in murugappa group when this song was relesed and as a sys admin i copied to dvd to Marketting dept.

It helps that Bombay, Madras, Calcutta and to an extent Delhi take themselves (in totality) seriously, and this respect for self somehow lends itself to effortlessly romanticizing these cities in popular media; feature films, documentaries, novels, books etc. The quintessential "BIG EMOTION" places. Is it an obvious extension of people inhabiting these geographies? Try doing this with either a highly self-deprecating Bangalore, or a light-teesko-mama Hyderabad, the efforts somehow fall flat on their faces. Well, at least so far! :)

I have a fascination with Chennai since as long as i can remember. The dream came true last year when i had to visit my parents who were working there for the past 3 years. I was in awe the minute i stepped in this beautiful city, it felt so different yet familiar at the same time. Can't wait to visit again! :)
