Couldn't agree more! 🔥 When Intense (strawberry sugar) was getting some talk years back, I seeked this one out and kept my mouth shut. 😄 Didn't want anyone to know about it...but I suppose it was only a matter of time before it made it here to the west. Gold was ok too but I Amber Gold kicks ass. Still haven't tried Liquid Gold tho.
I wore this the other day at work. I put 6 sprays on @5AM and headed out the door. I got crazy good projection for the first 2-3 hours and finally at about quitting time, 9 hours later, the fragrance came to a close or so I thought. I was thinking, OK CK not bad at all in fact I was pretty much blown away after getting more than a couple of inquiries about my cologne and a few nice comments/compliments through my work day. The scent itself is just as you described a sweet bright citrus accord on open combined immediately with a luxurious and rich blend of spices that are eventually overshadowed by an everpresent, thick, exotic, intense amber accord which in turn is veiled with a mysterious honeyed, masculine incense. The leather note on me, anyway, was really a minor player that didn't even appear till pretty much the very end of the wearing. Like I said before, at basically 9 hours after application I was more than satisfied and DEFINITELY impressed! Also, I thought that CK's EAG had pretty much ceased to exist on me at that 9 hour mark BUT.... I had to stop by the Post Office on my way home and wouldn't you know it the girl who assisted me complimented me and said whatever cologne I was wearing, was amazing! Then another lady (older) in line spoke up and agreed with her and asked me what I was wearing! I couldn't believe it because I really was convinced that EAG was done for the day, BOY! was I wrong! So I'm thinking in actuality I must have gotten at least 12 hours of wear time 😮. My only regret is that I didn't discover CK's EAG until after it was discontinued which from my research was after about 2 years of production! With that in mind, needless to say the secondary market prices are going through the roof as people are discovering for themselves just how good it really is! I am currently on the hunt for a BU bottle at a reasonable price point but that is going to be difficult I'm afraid, as I'm not seeing much of it anywhere. I don't mind paying somewhat of a premium but man it's tough because not much is showing up for sale out there! Hopefully a lil patience will bring me my reward. I will be wearing EAG a lot this winter season at least I hope to! Euphoria Amber Gold is an absolute masterpiece, a real gem! It's downright criminal it was discontinued and that it had such a brief production. I can't recommend it enough but be prepared to pay a premium if you can locate it but it is worth it (to a point) IMO!
