1) Kelley is without a doubt a major reason JRM and Dale Jr are as strong as they are. 2) Dale Jr worked his tail off to support Bud. 3) Theresa really screwed up.
Kelley is a legend in her own right. And one thing that rarely gets talked about is how instrumental she was in a lot of Sr’s merchandising and marketing.
Hoping that "Business of Motorsports" is a recurring series. Fascinating to learn more beyond the racing aspect. Book is excellent, on my shelf as a personal and vocational reference. Thanks Kelley. Hope more to come.
I worked for the Jacksonville Brewery during the Dale Jr. days, you are right we did have pride knowing Jr. was a part of our team. The Budweiser that was Brewed for the Daytona 500 every year was marked as "Daytona Brew". 28 days later loved seeing the cans with Jr. on them running down the hill to the packer.
One of my favorite tie-ins was when Dale was in Sheryl Crowe's video for "Steve McQueen". BOTH of the hottest stars in a cool themed video just blew me away.
Great interview. Cool to learn a little about the role of sponsorship. I Loved the Budweiser years. Kelly is a star like all of the Earnhardt’s seem to be.
I have to believe that Dale Sr. Would be stunned about what Dale Jr. and Kelly have been able to accomplish in carrying on the family name and tradition!
These stories are fantastic and I love listening to them, in saying that wish nothing but the best for the Earnhardt's because it's seems they have a handle on what they are doing without being stuffed shirts! Keep up the good work and good luck in your future endeavors!
When you spoke about the variations of the car schemes - another major impact was those cars were still being painted weren't they; vinyl wasn't a thing back then was it?
I watch tons of Podcasts! DirtyMo! Is the best! Kenny, Kenny Show! Enjoying it all! Thanks to you Kelly & Dale! Give us more! Speaking about more? I miss Mike at the table
An MBA is great knowledge building, but experience and relationships are the key. Anyone who wants to be in business needs to work on their interpersonal skills and it will take them far.
It’s a real shame how A-B no longer controls its own destiny and is now run by a bunch of Brazilian bean-counters. So many careers cut short. Thanks, Busch family.
It was because Jeff Gordon contract with Pepsi. Pepsi has in there contract that with Hendricks could not have any other beverage products on any of there cars. So Rick Hendricks went to Pepsi let them know they signed Dale JR and can they get rid of the beverage cluss in the contract. Pepsi said no but understood how much money they are costing Hendricks so they sponsored JR with MT DEW brand.
With connections like Zack Brown, Mike Curb, and all the other motorsports players, why can't Dale Earnhardt Jr secure enough funding to buy a Cup Series team or two? Why didn't Jr buyout Tony Stewart's Charters? Why hasn't NASCAR made two Charters available to the biggest name in the sport?
They probably could, I don’t think he wants to. It’s a big gamble and I think he’s pretty happy now, plus jrm is probably profitable. I agree though, as much as they always make it out to be about money, they could easily find the money.
I could never figure out why Budweiser didn’t get into world, outlaw sprint, cars, or late models dirt racing there’s a lot of beer drinkers at a dirt truck

Great Job Kelley > love hearing from you >> hope these videos come weekly lol
Face the facts: without Kelly, there'd be no Junior, as we know him!
Exactly and he always praises her for it and she's the CEO
Kelley is a legend in her own right. And one thing that rarely gets talked about is how instrumental she was in a lot of Sr’s merchandising and marketing.
I will give Kelly her credit however Jr does his share as well
@michael61985 but if it wasn't for her there would be no JRM
Absolutely, no doubt in my mind. You hit the nail on the head.
I am so glad you and your brother create the content we all enjoy so much. You make us feel like apart of you!!❤
I have read your book it's amazing for being part of the team doing everything everywhere in the company. Great advice 👍
Great job, I could've listened to the 2 of you for hrs, and it was a great trip down memory lane
The Bud years were exciting and fun times. Jr’s image was in every gas station in Virginia. Very cool memories
Wonderful!!!! Thank you both so much !!!! AND EVERYONE INVOLVED!!!!!
Really enjoyed the Show Kelley ! Awesome job .... Very positive , learned a thing or two , an Hour Well Spent !!! 😊💯👌
I was so excited when I heard the news. Gosh I brought back lots of cool memories.
I have a major Dale Jr Bud collection an still buying Dale Jr stuff today.
Hoping that "Business of Motorsports" is a recurring series. Fascinating to learn more beyond the racing aspect. Book is excellent, on my shelf as a personal and vocational reference. Thanks Kelley. Hope more to come.

Since Steve said JRM is such a major powerhouse, why isn't Budweiser on one of the JRM Xfinity cars?
More kelley episodes please
Kelley is so awesome. Thanks for this!

Thanks Kelley great interview
You guys do a phenomenal job in this studio
Thank you! We appreciate that.

dale will always be my favorite driver! i still wear my dale budweiser hat all the time
Great to hear that Buds trying but it’s not going to make us forget about the Bud Light debacle LOL
What a statement. ...There's only one Dale Jr.......so true.
Can we get a Kelly and Amy show?
Great job Kelly!! Very interesting interview 👍👍
LW is a really blessed man .
Great listen
Thank you very much for the video
I just tuned in,,great work Kelly
Spell her name right Kelley
@charliewhite3992 Kelley
Kelly, please come out of the office more and get behind the microphone . You do a fantastic job. I believe it’s Jr/Kelly Motorsports!!
When you spoke about the variations of the car schemes - another major impact was those cars were still being painted weren't they; vinyl wasn't a thing back then was it?
Team started using vinyl in the early 2000s. I can't speak about dei cars or anyone else since I don't know. Your best bet is to ask Dale himself
I watch tons of Podcasts!
DirtyMo!
Is the best!
Kenny, Kenny Show!
Enjoying it all!
Thanks to you Kelly & Dale!
Give us more!

Very intelligent conversation 👌
We love Kelly and the Earnhardt's.
I can start wearing my Bud jr jackets again.
Kelley is all about business when it comes to NASCAR. Just like senior was.
Love the Back Story on the Racing Sponsorship!! 3/88!
Anhauser-Busch was a great American company, until it wasn’t an American company. Now?
It’s a real shame how A-B no longer controls its own destiny and is now run by a bunch of Brazilian bean-counters. So many careers cut short. Thanks, Busch family.
18,000 Americans work for A-B based in St. Louis. Very much an American company.
Favorite show by far
Did anyone understand who Steve was talking about who wouldn’t approve the white Bud car?
He was talking about August Busch IV
@@DirtyMoMedia Thank you. AB IV has a very interesting history which I just read about.
I always wondered why Budweiser didn’t go with Junior to HMS.
Because of DEI
It was because Jeff Gordon contract with Pepsi. Pepsi has in there contract that with Hendricks could not have any other beverage products on any of there cars. So Rick Hendricks went to Pepsi let them know they signed Dale JR and can they get rid of the beverage cluss in the contract. Pepsi said no but understood how much money they are costing Hendricks so they sponsored JR with MT DEW brand.
@@timothybrown8986 Good info.
@@timothybrown8986 And don't forget AMP. But neither of those were as impactful as A-B and Budweiser.
@GregBeaulieu-c3t I totally agree with you someone asked why AB go with Dale JR over too Hendricks. I was just giving that person the reason why.
Kelly,If no Number 8 with Jr,Next King of Speed Kenny in Drag Racing.
Credit to Teresa for keeping DEI doors open after Dale's death at Daytona 2001.
She just ooozzes Class ❤
interviews with marketing executives? christmas is early!!! let me get my LL Bean puffy vest on and clap like a seal
Great job Kelly!
If you guys are bringing back the red #8, I think he should bring back the frosted tips that would be great

@@ryanh-c7i Two charters would probably be $80 million at least just for those, plus all the costs of building a team.
There are going to be A TON of beer-drunk Dale Jr. fans in Florence SC on Saturday night!!!
I could never figure out why Budweiser didn’t get into world, outlaw sprint, cars, or late models dirt racing there’s a lot of beer drinkers at a dirt truck
Kelly I can't tell if you look more like Brenda or Martha more.
What happened to your family's race team wasn't it called Dale Earnhardt Incorporated?
Without Kelley, they’ll be no junior even Dale Senior put her to work he could tell already
AB is an unfortunate mess. I’m shocked they are hooking back up with Jr. maybe they hired someone wit good judgment
Bud needs to be in nascar again .. red ..8 as a cup team Jr motorsports you listening
Hahaha
"Nothing new here" !!!!!!!!!!!!
“His dad ran a white car”…………………CAN SOMEBODY tell me what white car Dale Sr. drove???🤨
"M🤑NEY"
What demographic? Fratty and out of touch. Now I am drinking Coors.
Why Coors?
Great job Kelley this was great
Bud was my Total favorite sponsor for Dale
So awesome
