It‘s crazy hearing you drove 17 hours to get to western Texas from Tennessee, thumbs up! If I drive 17 hours from my place (Vienna, Austria), i‘d been through most of Central Europe. Really like this episode . Looking forward to the next!
Idk what it is but these kinda chill and relaxed videos where its just an awesome scenery and lots of shooting are my favourtive videos. This is the type of stuff that makes me want to go on a roadtrip in america so bad. Very nice video, seriously hyped on pt2, and hopefully some more vlog style videos in the future!
Great video and pictures. I loved visiting Marfa/Big Bend/West Texas when I lived in Austin. This made me miss it so much! The sky truly is bigger there...
Awesome to see all these film channels grow. Corey as well as grainydays, willem and joe. Always watch these, get motivated to shoot and then get depressed again by my absolute lack of skill.
Love it Corey! I'm from Texas and back in 2015 I took a road trip to Tennessee. One of the highlights was admiring the views and taking pictures of y'alls mountains :) The people were very friendly and down to earth. I feel like Texans and people from Tenn are sorta like distant cousins. Maybe it goes back to Davy Crockett. Any thoughts?
Ive been following Joe on IG for years now and Im glad to have seen you today thru him and this video. This experience is amazing and all those photos. ❤
hi corey i live in Texas so here a bit of a tip next time you do a road trip in Texas in summer time only bring 100iso to 400 iso for film because the sun is so bright
I'm very impressed with your adaptation of the vlog style. My favorite part is the overall continuity with the video alongside the photography. One tip for future vlogs: try to get more stable b-roll footage maybe by taking more time with the iPhone shots or just use a more stable DSLR or something. Keep it up dude. Much love from Tennessee!
I'm not Corey but he won't answer anyway... It does not worth it in my opinion. Mamiya 7 is way too overpriced. The lens are not bad but the body itself is overhyped. I would recommend the GW series of Fuji. They are well-priced (you don't have to pay a fortune) and fujinon lens are as good as mamiya's lens or better.
Máté Dózsa-Juhász Alright. I‘ve got an alright offer I think which is 2400 Euros (about 2600 dollars) for a Mamiya 7 + 65mm lens and some straps etc. I already own a Fuji Ga645 but I‘m not reeeally happy with the results because they often are out of focus etc.
Máté Dózsa-Juhász And for the use of the camera: It would be for hiking and spontaneous trips. Because with my RZ it is a pain in the a** to walk around for a long time so a 6x7 in a small format would be pretty cool
Good stuff. Thanks. I’m wondering if you might consider leaving your photos up for another 1-2 seconds each. They seem to fly by. I know it’s a delicate balance, but the photos look great! Vlog style works just fine!
man need another road trip 🥴🥺
Canada
Mexico
Sounds like you probably just need more corduroy jackets! haha ;)
Definitely!
17min of heaaat 🤤
Aye its my boy Will 🤯
Haha
“one of the primary mistakes is to overpack ...so I brought all the cameras you could ever want”
Joe Greer looks like every youth pastor right now🤣🔥

Fabian Holoubek I’m in Canada if I drive for 17 hours I’m still in the same province. Lol.
It takes me about 10-11 hours to drive from South Texas to Oklahoma.
Markus Staley Crazy! Would love to drive hours and hours through your beautiful country and make photos. Canada has been on my list for ages
i live in houston.tx it take about 3 to 4 hours to get to san antonio but maybe an hour to get to galveston most times
I live in west Texas and if I drive 17 hours east I’ll barely be out of the state lmao
Refreshing to live photography through others during these times.

i need the music from the video and i couldn't find it. help!
Do you pay for the frontier or Noritsu scan?
Do you rely on the light meter in the camera or do you use another one, if so which one do you use?! Great vid 😘
What month was this road trip?
got married out there almost 2 years ago. that landscape holds so many good memories for me. hope y'all had a good experience too. :)
For those sunset images taken with the Mamiya 7, what did you meter for? I'm really curious as to how to meter for sunsets! Thanks man!
If u want the bright orange/red/pink tones and dark rest... for the highlights
And if u want to have a visible foreground for the shadows
Was just thinking yesterday 'huh, been a while since CW uploaded a video'. Worth the wait. One of your best
Dude, can't wait for part 2.

Do you edit your scanned film photos?

Love this vlog style. It’s more intimate. 🖤
This is nice! I hope the next roadtrip will be stacked with Willem Verbeeck, Matt Day, and Roman Spataro. That's going to be fun! 🔥

Hey Corey, I'm thinking about buying a Mamiya 7 with 65mm lens. Can you recommend buying the camera? Is it worth it?

nice photos, nice cameras, nice video. :)
also what is the brand and model of hat Joe is wearing.
Good stuff. Thanks. I’m wondering if you might consider leaving your photos up for another 1-2 seconds each. They seem to fly by. I know it’s a delicate balance, but the photos look great! Vlog style works just fine!
Did it require permission when you shoot around the neighborhood?
I needed this!
Waiting for this quarantine to end so I can get over to east TN/west NC and shoot some Ektachrome.
