ricky was miserable with nini, not that it's her fault she did nothing wrong they're just incompatible, but this season he's so happy and carefree. dare i say he's "finally free"... i also think he's really happy to be hanging out with gina again. their relationship was strained for a while when he got back with nini and they suddenly couldn't have that dynamic they had before anymore, but they've kinda slipped back into it now...
They should stick to being friends bc that’s the extent their lack of chemistry goes 💀💀💀

I think it's only fair for Kourtney, and Gina to be the leads since they're literally the only main girls in the show who didn't get one yet. In ashlyn's case it wouldn't made sense if she's playing as other characters plus she made her break by being Belle last season. So it's fair enough for the girls ,but I think there should be a role for the trolls at least.
pretty sure the trolls are not a part of the broadway version which is what they're performing (and thank god for that)

For Jet and Ricky when it comes to bsf or bfs, I think we need to see a little more of Jets character and him interacting with characters other than Ricky (and Maddox) just to see what his personality is y’know? And ig the same can be said for Ashlyn and Maddox, they just need to interact when they’re opinions aren’t conflicting

i just dont rlly understand how ricky was so incredibly slandered/villianized when he was under a lot of stress/going through a lot in s2 but when its ej everybody treats him like a child who can do no wrong? and ricky had a very small support system compared to ej. i think its just unfair the way ppl treat ricky vs ej :/

Another Great reaction Adam, Love Gina and Kourtney as the leads, they really do deserve it. The Maddox and Jett plot twist threw me, I just thought that they had broken up badly and that's why Maddox was mad at him. Also Kourtney and Carlos make this season so much better, they make me laugh so much each episode. It does makes sense that Gina would be cast as Anna and Ricky as Kristoff if the writers are trying to push the love triangle more especially with EJ as sven, who has to watch them act in love. the whole drama is gonna ramp up with rehearsal for sure.
lets not talk about how ricky and gina was flirting almost the whole episode😂😂
as you said, the vibe this season is AMAZINGG!!! a lot of people aren't liking it since this season is shot and written differently plus they're not in school so the high school vibes that connect it to hsm are kinda missing but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. season 3 is more slow paced and lets the characters breathe and just develop them through random interactions and background talks and stuff instead of chasing the plot. it is kinda predictable and the cliffhangers aren't as crazy as the last 2 seasons but i dont mind cuz the angst (especially in s2) just got too much sometimes. this season feels like its own thing now that we've connected with the characters so firmly and how they've grown together makes them feel natural instead of almost always paralleling something from hsm like s1&2 did.
carlos kourtney & ricky are my absolute fav this season i mean they are HILARIOUS !!! im living for it.
from the missing main cast the only one i kinda miss is big red, and now dont come for me but i actually like the show without nini because now it feels like the entire ensemble is the focus and its not just the nini and friends show. jet and maddox add an interesting flavor to it all and i dont rly get why so many people dont like maddox (i loved her since the moment she popped into frame in ep1)
now as for the ship wars, im just gonna say ej, gina and ricky should just become a polyamorous relationship, like ricky said in ep1 to portwell "do you have room for one more" #caswenter

honestly I like portwell and rina so I'm good either way. I guess if I had to pick one, I like Rina a tiny bit more simply bcuz josh and sofia are the best actors on the show and have great chemistry. I just wish people would chill out about their ships and stop fighting like they know how the show's gonna end ;(

I figured that jet, and Maddox were sibling from the start of the season can't wait to see more of dynamic for sure. Loving ricky ,and Gina platonic friendship it hope it stays that way because I don't want ej hurt in the process. I understand ej is underpressure to make the musical prefect I really hope he call ms Jenn for help so she can help her wildcat out for the plays.
rina has been getting set up for a while and I can't wait to watch them unfold infront of my eyes, I think portwell is cute enough but I don't think they'll last

I don’t think Ashlyn was sad about not getting the lead, I think she was more confused about not getting a role(well one with a name). It’s kinda hard to go from a small role, to a lead, to ensemble. Trust me, I know.

I’m really scared for portwell. I hate rina. I’ve tried to like it but I just can’t. I do love the Ricky and Gina friendship through. I think portwell endgame and rina besties is the perfect ending. EJ is under a lot of pressure and stress. I feel really bad for him. I hope he’ll be able to have a conversation with Gina about this soon because he is so close to a breakdown.

Seeing the comments here and what you're saying too I feel like I'm the only one who's happy about the love triangle thing... I'm sorry Portwell shippers but I've been team Rina since season 1 and that hasn't changed. And seeing Ricky and Gina in this episode made me really happy which I needed. I just think they have SO much more chemistry than Gina and EJ, SO much more in common and a MUCH better connection. I just wish other people felt the same way. 🙈 But great reaction as always, I enjoyed it. 😊

I really don’t understand why y’all are so quick to support EJ having stress in these situations but when Ricky was going through a crisis and had literally 0 support system last season it was quiet chirps.
EJ is privileged beyond words. Him being stressed and overwhelmed in this situation is completely understandable but he can deal with these things a lot better.

Genuine question as those that love EJ and Gina, just generally asking, where do you guys think EJ’s future is with this show considering that he will no longer be in highschool the second the semester starts and he can’t be an active part of the cast anymore?
There is obviously going to be a divide in his storyline coming in this season which will lead him to his future.
At this point I only care for EJ's happiness.
I think the cast had so much more fun filming this season than they did season 2. Ofc season 2 there was Covid so they had to delay filming and then josh almost dying and being hospitalized right after the Olivia drama was just so stressful. Plus season 2 took a year to film. I know josh was very excited about this season and he had a a lot of fun however it will be interesting to see for season 4 bc he was supposed to go on tour in September and October but bc of production he had to cancel most shows and I don’t think they told him beforehand so idk it will be interesting to see the season 4 dynamic after that. He was disappointed. Also I think it helps the cast are friends and even josh and Matt being best friends makes it really fun to see them play enemies or wtv and josh always talked about how fun it is to film with Sofia. Idk I think this season being less stressful and also moving filming to LA just helped.

You can understand where EJ is coming from because he was dating Nina then she broke up with him to then date Ricky. He thought it'd be a summer of just the two of them and what they got to which Ricky shows up from no where. Not only that, EJ knew that Gina liked Ricky in S1. Anyhow, EJ has a lot of pressure on him with this show he has to direct while trying to ensure his relationship is entact. Think if him and Ricky talked he'd find that Ricky and Gina are just friends... at least at the moment. Though this time its gonna be a different type of drama as Ricky and EJ are friends this time around. Last time they were enemies fighting for Nina and only became friends afterwards.
Ricky and Gina has better on-screen chemistry than Ricky and Nina. It'll be interesting how this season turns out and how it ends. They always end of a cliff hanger and I'm just curious on what that could be.
