    We stayed in that same campground. It was awesome. So convenient to the sand dunes.

    I am new to traveling with my teardrop trailer and always love when other people towing share great boondocking sites that are safe and easy to get to. Thank you for sharing!

    So glad I clicked your notification. Great video, great story line. The camping spot sounds incredible but I guess you have to pick the right time of year to catch the best weather. Bummer about the fishing. Your spoiler alert caption told me the day would be a bust for a home cooked, freshly caught fish dinner (I wasn't wrong). Hope you had some left over chicken salad to munch on the way home.

    That was quite the vid! Really enjoyed it! I lived in Colorado for quite a few years working as a Firefighter/Ski Patrol in Summit County. I do miss it, but not the cold weather and snow as I age. I almost bought a 5 acre plot of land near Alamosa a few years ago, but decided not to because of restrictions (long story). That is quite the boat you have! I love fishing! River primarily. But lake fishing is great too. That boat and motor must take up some space in the rig I’m guessing? I will plan to visit that area next time I’m in Colorado. Thanks for sharing your adventures! Good times!!! 😊

      We love fishing too! That little boat is surprisingly easy to store, we just have to get creative with the space. We have a toy hauler… so that helps. lol glad you enjoyed the vid and came along with us on this adventure. 😜❤️

    The first RVs was the Conestoga Wagon in the 1800s and before. Boon-docking has been around for a very long time.

      Indeed. We’d love to get to the Rv history museum one day to see some of those first rigs

    Lol Darlene, you can tell that you were lit with those two margaritas. Your eyes kinda get lazy just like my wife’s does when she has a couple. 😂. And when we finally do get our RV, we’re definitely gonna go to this place. That looks so beautiful and so cool. But right now I’m still in Glenwood Springs and will be here until mid January. Always a need for a nurse. You guys keep on rolling and we will keep on watching. 🤩🙏

    Curious what your solar issue was. If you’re willing to speak on it. I’m all about rv solar, Thanks.

    • @liketheresnotomorrow
      @liketheresnotomorrow  2 місяці тому +3

      It took forever to pin point but it ended up being a bad fuse connecting to the array of solar on the roof that the manufacturer put in. We have two arrays, one that came with the Rv and one that we put in. We are back up and working great now.

    We have reservations for next week not far from there at Trinidad Lake State park. We are picking up our first new to us trailer, a 2023 Escape 5.0 in Cheyenne, WY. Trinidad and then Palo Duro Canyon are the stops we are taking on our way back home.
    I loved your video on Cheyenne. Wish we had more time to enjoy it. Just not this trip. Plus they are expecting snow the day we inspect and get the trailer from the couple bringing it from NW Montana. It has been in the 90s here so this will be a big shock!
    I had to take a double look. The beard is gone! 😮

    Any tips for these newbies driving our rig for the very first time from Cheyenne to Trinidad, CO? Should we avoid I25 thru Denver and take the toll road around or is there another way you all recommend?

    • @liketheresnotomorrow
      @liketheresnotomorrow  2 місяці тому +1

      We drove both while we were there. I25 wasn’t bad. We did Cheyanne to CO Springs. Just some stop and go near Denver. Not that big of a deal.

    • @Darnabymom

      @@liketheresnotomorrow Thank you, so much for the info. Of course we will avoid rush hours.

      @@Darnabymom I live in Denver. You wanna be past Colorado Springs by 3pm. Rush hour is a thing between Denver and COS. And it starts early.
      Pro tip: On I-25 southbound, use the middle or left lane between Erie and Thornton. Just before the Hwy 7 exit there is a GIANT whoopdee-doo in the right lane. Depending on your weights and load distribution, it could break something. Middle lane is better but you’ll still notice it.

    • @Darnabymom
      @Darnabymom 2 місяці тому

      @@dougstinton1622 thank you for the pro tip! What about taking 85 south from Cheyenne then taking the toll loop? 470 I think it is. I know it is pricey especially with two more axles and a bit out of our way.

    • @liketheresnotomorrow
      @liketheresnotomorrow  2 місяці тому +1

      Yes, we saw some in the BLM area just outside the national park. I do not think you can drive one from this campground. You might check the wildlife area site.

    As a Colorado resident, you’re pronouncing “Luis” incorrectly. It’s not Louie. It’s ‘Loo-ees’. It’s a Spanish word.
