- The lost Symphony of Science song, The Cosmic Dance, was originally intended to be released after The Poetry of Reality and before The Case for Mars, but due to certain circumstances, never was released. This is a remix of the song, and currently the only version of The Cosmic Dance to be released. All credit goes to John Boswell, aka melodysheep. Voice clips are from the 1990 movie Mindwalk.

When I hear this song, my imagination just runs wild with the destruction and creation of stars and planets. It's just so wonderful.

The first time I saw Mindwalk, this song had already been out and I'd listened to it and knew it by heart. I had no idea that while I was watching Mindwalk that it was the same thing this song samples. So as I'm listening to Liv Ullmann talking I start thinking, this voice sounds really familiar. What she's saying even... the words, ... and then she says "A particle is essentially a set of relations that reach outward to connect with other things." And goosebumps hit me as I immediately recognized it. Blew my mind.

What is scary is that what her character is saying is really correct. Everything we know of can't be described in terms of anything we really know of.
I just watched it today on you tube it is one of the best movies ever made in my opinion.

Wow, this is awesome! Thank you for creating this. This movie, along with Shirley MacLaine's Out on a Limb and Richard Bach's books were introduced to me many years ago by my sister and started me on my "Metaphysical" Journey. I would recommend the movie "Mindwalk" to anyone who is a "Seeker". I noticed it has finally been released on DVD. Happy Journey!

BTW the movie "Mindwalk" was co-written by the incredible Fritjof Capra and based on his book "The Turning Point". Mr. Capra is bestknown for his best selling book "The Tao of Physics" written in the 1970's and brings together modern science and ancient wisdom.
I suppose we have very different definitions of respect. But before you go accusing me of any wrongdoing to John Boswell, I think you should do some research into the circumstances under which the original version on this song wasn't released. It has a little thing to do with something called fair use, and John is a huge fan. Also, he's a fairly nice guy. I've talked to him before.

Well he hasn't posted this song himself, has he? He hasn't complained. This video has been up for over a year. And considering he makes his work based on other people's work to begin with, I don't think it's high on his list of priorities to get pissed at people for posting and admiring his work. He released this version of the song for free, and I posted it so that people might enjoy it on UA-cam. If he were to ask me to take this down, I would, but I've given him proper credit in the info.

It's called a Vocoder, it mixes a Vocal and a Synth into a "robot" or "alien" voice, it was also used for GLaDOS. I f*ckin' LOVE Vocoders!
@SagesOfSeraphim Technically the person saying this isn't seeing the maker of the video edited the voice with auto-tune to make it sound like singing, just like how there is one of these videos with Bill Nye the science guy, Richard Dawking, and even MORGAN FREEMAN the actor with the same effect, so they all were made to be singing in the videos even though the things they say were originally spoken and not actually sung.
And yet again a beautiful gem of a song by MelodySheep. I love how you continue to show the beauty of science and knowledge. It is a talent and I salute you for it :)

The lyrics are wrong.
The song is beautiful.. too bad the movie the samples are taken from is pretty bad even for a philosophical art piece and the character that has these lines comes across as a moody feminist harpy. Movie has Sam Waterson in it, though, so that's a plus!
